I believe, she also changed the capacitors in her deans against ovaltone capacitators. her awesome guitar tone is no luck, she´s a real guitar nerd.

When I met Miyako at NAMM 2018, she was there as a guest of Lunastone pedals and was doing demos of their distortion and overdrive pedals. The overdrive pedal is used on her board...The Peavey 5150/6505 series amps have been staples in Metal for years, Midori recently started using a Peavey 6505 patch in her Kemper profiler. Also the Celestion Vintage 30 speakers that Miyako uses in her cabinet are the standard in the Metal genre.

true. especially shredders love this eighties medium- highgain-sound of the V30. me too. they are heavy (almost 5 kg) and in best build quality, like the orange cabinet. a real heavy combination.

@CoffeineNightOwl I actually run the same Orange cab (closed back) and speakers in my main rig and it's almost 80lbs.

@@guitarzen5999 awesome. I believe, the sound emitting angle is a little bit different to other cabs too. heavy, but that sturdy build surely has it´s benefits.

Since you enjoyed this gear introduction, I think you might find the clip in which Miyako explains how she changed her Dean Icon from "passive" to "active" (and some other modifications she made) - someone else also recommended it - very interesting. The original clip on her own channel is in Japanese, but there's also a version with English subtitles here: ruclips.net/video/9pYWabx3OXo/видео.html On that channel, you find several other interesting clips with English subtitles featuring Miyako talking about her guitars. No need to do reactions to all of them, but watch them for your own entertainment!

@@allenhuling598 You're welcome! :) I don't know if this might be of interest to you or if you have already seen this, but on Miyako's own channel, there's one clip in which she also speaks English. It's this one: ruclips.net/video/18PdNPwyCiQ/видео.html She is such an amiable person! As regards the clips on the channel on which the clip in my initial comment is posted, I also recommend to check out the four clips titled "Goddess's commitment to guitars" in which Miyako is interviewed by three guys (I don't know them, but it seems they are all guitarists themselves and know a lot about all the technical/equipment stuff). I have just watched the first half of the first part and found it quite interesting when Miyako said that she was attracted to join Lovebites because they were about "all English lyrics" and "foreign-ish metal" (i.e. to play like a European metal band) and that she wouldn't have joined them if they had been playing Japanese-style metal. She also mentions that Asami's voice was one of the reasons she joined the band. From the middle of the first part onwards, she talks mostly about her guitars and equipment. At one point in the fourth part, one of the interviewers says "It almost seems like talking with a middle aged musician.", which I assume is meant to be a compliment.

@@MissLoonasSpeech Thanks for another link to watch, I have not seen the one in English and will be happy to check it out! I did however see the clip where that the one guy referred to her as a middle-aged man, and yes I'm sure it was meant as a compliment! Agreed too that she seems to be a very amiable person! Thanks again!🤘

They mistranslated “acoustic guitar” (in Katakana it’s アコースティック (“a-ko-u-su-tei-k’u”). Miyako said it has an aluminum (アルミ / “a-ru-mi”) top.
They say ピービー (pii-bii), because Japanese has no “v” sound.

Her gear is much like Miyako, simple elegant and deadly in the hands of feet of a true music ninja. This let's her music do the talking and that music comes from top notch but simple gear in the hand of a musical savant. BTW great reaction, you flipped when she showed off the same brand equipment you use. Also let me say she looks stunning in those glasses!!!!

Miyako(G - black hair) chose to use a peavey6505Plus with orange cab〔 Orange PPC212 OB(Open Back Vintage 30) 〕and head to tighten the low frequencies and create a tight spread of sound in the midrange.
Midori(G) profiled the peavey6505Plus with a Kemper and chose to use a Marshall cab to give the sound more breadth.
Miyako and Midori created a band ensemble.
The above is from an interview with Miyako, a content of "Kazuya Yamaguchi" on the RUclips channel.
Midori said that since Miyako and I have the same head, there is a synergistic effect when we synchronize.

In the video unveiling of the new bassist Fami The orange amps in Miyako had already been changed from orange to white for the tolex and from beige to black for the front speaker nets.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about when it comes to Peavey here Wave for Miyako - that 6505+ that she plays is an evolution of the 5150, that Eddie Van Halen developed with Peavey. The 6505+ has an extra preamp tube for ultra high gain. That’s a seriously metal amp. Peavey have some top of the line tube amps for metal, easily on par with anything else you might mention.

@@wavepotterwellness Oh, I do, but you seemed pretty dismissive of an amp that has perhaps the greatest guitar innovator in the metal/rock world as it's creator. The 5150 block letter amp is a monster 120W terror weapon - I have one amongst several other amps and it's mean and loud. The 6505+ is an even better version of the same core. Miyako is a very discriminating guitarist - there's a series of 4 interviews with her and 3 other Japanese guitarists, and it is clear she knows her shit, way beyond her years and most of her peers. She grew her sound organically using her ears to figure what was good/not good. Here, try this: youtu.be

I have to take up your comment on the “speakers” too. What you hear is the CABINET as a whole, not just the speakers. Just like top of the line tires on a cheap car will leave you with mediocre performance, the same is true of top speakers in a bad cabinet. Orange make their cabinets from 18mm birch ply, which is solid and then the cab is braced and built to take a direct nuclear strike. Sticking expensive speakers in any old cabinet is unlikely to make your sound much better. It just doesn’t work like that.
