- Our heroes reach the end of their Underdark ordeal, and must traverse a temporal rip to escape. This room was very very difficult, and even included ye olde altar-on-spike-plate bypass!
THANKS FOR TUNING IN!

I love Runehammers older vids. Love the tone and feel of them.
I love the idea of the massive wall visually featured behind the king, even if its just ToM. Very cool
your dog was clapping for a great story
Dude. This is the second video of yours I've watched. RUclips finally decided to say, "Hey, check this shit out!". Yea, RUclips. Yea.
That room. It had me leaning forward with anticipation just hearing the story. You would be a bad ass DM to play for. Totally subscribing. Keep up the glorious work.
OnyxZephyr333 Welcome, Spartan! and thanks for watching/leaning!
damn what a ridiculous climax, such crazy stakes with the loss of points permanently, and then to have it all end with a hug..... incredible haha!
This is the first video of yours that i have seen. Found it by just youtube surfing other dnd stuff. But man, im instantly hooked.
Subscribed and am about to start binge watching your videos!
Great room! Love the fact that the dog wanted to hang out!
Harsh yet epic room! Love it
Wow this is definitely my favorite room so far. I love the stat stripping time element...it really has a feel similar to the time tombs that are in the Hyperion Cantos books!
I've watched a few of your videos, but this made me subscribe. You sound like an awesome DM.
So here I am, a new player to the D&D universe, with the mind set that DMs "have" to follow loose guidelines on how they interact with the players. Then I watch this video and BOOM! All of what I thought was shattered, instilling a new fear of the DM as the rules of the game could change with each new encounter, each new enemy, and each new room. What I would have thought as a simple blade of grass could be the main ingredient to a immortality potion for example. The temporal time wave mechanic was quite mind blowing as it truly puts the consequences of unplanned action in the player's hands, not just some trap that is unseen. Long story short, great "Room Design!"
Makoworgen haha Huzzah!
15hr work shift done...now beer and a new room design episode...life is good
+Steven Deruosi you had to work 15 hours in a day . . . how is that good?
The dog had me rollin'. Another great room design sir
The bottom section of the map looks like an upside-down At-AT walker. Nice.
Very epic end to the underdark. well thought out mate.
Damn... that... was... epic! I don't know if I could handle the adrenaline rush as a player.
Love it!!
Can you just make vids where to retell the sessions? LOL Very entertaining aside from the DM advice!
as a Tunnels and Trolls player primarily, it is crazy to me that this room took four hours. That's a 30 minute room in TnT, an hour if there is alot of strategizing. Awesome room though, will use elements of it in my games.
That sounds like it was a blast to run and play! I have to ask though...why is there a chain hanging from your ceiling???
Ey Drunkens, It'd be cool to have a playlist of these room designs. Awesome vid per usual man!
+TheSlavyShallEatYou will do! thnx!
What does the battle cube do? Your dog was applauding the intensity of your adventure.
see it in video "the guard house"
I so want to use this. Can you include more of this escape from the underdark adventure of your? Maybe some campaign notes or something?
+jesternario indeed! also, will be detailed in the book later this year. this was one crazy night...
Another good one. Do you find that D4 is the best range of time for your suspense dice? I can guess that d4 is ideal because:
1. D4s are rarely useful
2. most groups have fast combat scenes (3-10 rounds)
3. D4 is synonymous with the pain of stepping on them and thus naturally takes to creating suspense when put on the table ;-)
+Bardic College Stream agree on all, and bigger dice just roll too high! 6 rounds is forever
But did anyone trip the rift?
How big is your big tray of the void may I ask? kinda want to use the whole void thing! ALSO, where to you get the foam you use to carve the pieces out of, because the polystyrene here in the shire (wales) is white, full of pebbles and VERY messy to work with. does the stuff you use usually get used for insulation or something?
void board is 2.5 x 3.5 feet, 2 inch deep...use extruded polystyerene from a construction store like lowe's
