Neha’s sister Sonu is an exceptional singer. I listen to her recreations of 90s songs all the time. There are so many covers she had done and she has such an earthy and expressive voice. Neha is good too but she is used by T-series as a purely pop singer singing on mashups and remixes. Basically songs created like fast food with junk lyrics and hardly any composing effort. In India that kind of music becomes popular fast and is forgotten fast. That is generally looked down upon.
Someone suggested that you react to Madari song from coke studio. It has Neha Kakkar's sister Sonu Kakkar. Both have that raw quality to their voice... Sonu has it more. Both have Punjabi folk singing background. Do react to Madari... You guys will love it.

Thank god one sensible comment. I understand it might be irritating to some but it's literally how they roll. It's how they have been reacting for years and just bcz some indians can't handle, bcz they are so accustomed to those reactions who speak nothing and are just using bollywood and india for clout. I didn't mind the comments when they started indian reactions but now when people know this is how they react, they still keep on commenting rudely. This literally frustrates me that some are putting indian audience on such a bad light when they are genuinely reacting.

You are probably right when you said India did it before anyone else. Idk much about history of music, but the thing is Indian classical music originated around 5000 years ago cuz the fundamentals of the classical music can be found in Vedas (some of the most important religious texts which cover various topics including music and thus the connection with spirituality).
You haven't checked out Palak Muchhal. She's a phenomenal singer. I will recommend Kaise Mujhe/Tum Ho from T-Series Mixtape. It's a phenomenal performance and both Aditya Narayan and Palak Muchhal did an absolutely fantastic job 👌👌

this is how music operates in india in most cases
Producer decides to make a movie, hires a director. they then hire a music director who composes the music eg Pritam, Anu Malik, etc. They compose music as per movie requirement and choose the singers eg Arijit, Shreya, etc. Writers are hired to write the song lyrics like irshad, javed akhtar, prasoon joshi, etc.
The final song is a composite and lip synced by the bollywood actors on screen eg Shahrukh.
Then singers sing these songs in concerts etc.
Now lot of independent artistes have also come who release non bollywod albums. eg Honey Singh, Alisha Chinoy etc.
So most songs sung by singers are not composed by them nor written by them. Good part is all of them get credits for their work as well as money

Neha belongs to a small city in Uttrakhand. She is the youngest member of her family. She has two siblings, Tony Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. Both of them are also playback singers in Bollywood. Her father was a samosa(street food) seller and, her mother is a homemaker. Their initial days were tough and, Neha also used to sing in the religious events to earn some side money for her family.
Neha started singing at a very tender age of 4. The family suffered from a financial crisis, so they shifted to Delhi to try their kid's luck in singing. She used to attend 4-5 gatherings a day and sang only bhajans(hindu religious songs)till she turned 16. This thing helped her in boosting her confidence and, people liked her.

Human beings have been practicing songs since prehistoric times. Once word had first started to form through the human mouth, songs followed close behind, somewhat like the “u” that follows “q”. Even in the first mańd́ala of the ancient Rgveda, we find songs primarily in long and elongated voices. In the Yajurvedic age also we find songs in short, long and elongated forms. In the Atharvaveda as well, we come across songs - chiefly in short and long voices- although we can not say that elongated forms are totally absent.
Vedic songs and modern songs are different in their themes. The beat or sequence of strokes has undergone changes, and new musical instruments have been invented. The viiń of the Vedic Age has metamorphosed into various stringed instruments.(1) These instruments, in synchronization with delicate human voices, have spread the sweetness of music through the atmosphere and the firmament across the horizon. Singing a song certainly requires the use of the uvula (lambiká, kushańd́iká, alijihvá, galashuńd́iká). As the uvula came under strain at the time of singing, in ancient times, just as today, the uvula and other parts of the throat contracted diseases and become painful. In the remote past, people tied gossamer or pashm to the end of a slender stick, dipped it into warm honey and anointed the uvula and other affected parts of the throat.(2) Some people used warm or fresh ghee in the same way. It is difficult to say definitively whether people of the Rgvedic Age were familiar with black pepper; however, they certainly became familiar with it in the Yajurvedic Age. During the Rgvedic Age people inhabited the cold regions. To them, threads meant gossamer or pashm. The Hindi word un has its origin in the word urńa (gossamer), the etymology being urńá > uńńá > uńa. The use of nasal ́n’ (n) in the Hindi word una is, therefore, a mistake. The cerebral ́n’ (ń) ought to be used.
Pashm is a Persian word. Pashm means gossamer or fleece, but in Persian it means hair of all kinds.
In any case, the people of the Vedic age were familiar with gossamer. Hence at the time of observing last rites, people of bygone times used to offer gossamer in the name of offering cloth to the departed souls. In that age, during the Vedic rituals pertaining to the rites of yajiṋopaviita [the wearing of sacred threads as religious symbols], the practice of using threads was not in vogue, because cotton (kárpás) was then unknown to people. To serve the purpose of yajiṋopaviita, they would use a wild animal’s skin or sheepskin with little gossamer on the left shoulder.
Yes, probably in the Yajurvedic Age, people first came into contact with cotton. Kárpás (cotton) is a Sanskrit word of Middle Age which intrinsically meant a material with which something is fastened. From kárpás has come the word kápás. In Hindi, it is kapás and in Marathi, it is kápus. The indigenous word for kápás in Angika and Maithili is báuṋgá.
Yes, hence in the Yajurvedic age, if a singer, male or female, suffered from sore throat, they used to fasten cotton to a slender stick or coconut stick (the indigenous Bengali word for coconut stick is khyángrá), soak it in warm ghee or black pepper powder and use it to rub the affected parts of the throat [as throat-paint](3).
