Finest Panerai Luminor I Ever Engraved

- Hello and welcome again to my next project.
This time I'm cutting #Panerai Luminor.
Watch case had obvious wear marks so it took me hours to prepare it off camera for engraving.
For Design I chose updated version of elements I used before with 24 k gold wire inlays and very complicated and time consuming night sky star background.
Overall project took about 100 hours of designing, prepping, engraving and finishing.

Wow, the black really contrasted well with the gold and base silvery colours, very VERY nice
I agree, in person it looks even better as eye can pick up tiny tiny details, like little star light reflections, shiny sides of cuts etc..

I live in Japan everything is complicated , the engraving school so expensive and if you can’t read Japanese language you can’t study , am so sad about that , I like engraving since I was a kid , but no chance to learn in this country , anyway I enjoyed your videos make me never give up to learn thank you 🙏
Almost everything i know i learned on my own, just keep searching for videos and information. Most importantly start drawing.

Nope clear coat would be ok on firearms but im quite skeptical how ot would work on watches, paint i use is weather resistant but still isn't meant to be abused

Now this is cool.....They have been doing it on firearms forever difference is you can't wear a double rifle in your wrist.
Yeah, however engraving firearms is much easier because steel is softer
If you need free sandpaper auto body shop throw away free fine sand paper. At work we share dumpster with auto body shop I seen up 1000 grit sandpaper almost brand new
Good idea i you know the owner. However sandpaper might touch steel(and there is no way i could possibly tell) and afterwards i might contaminate stainless and in worst case scenario stainless might start to rust
