    I find it weird that your school district went with an NFS2-640 in a building that is not exactly very big, not to mention that it is mostly conventional. They definitely could have gone with an NFS-320.

    Do you have to announce which device you are testing on a radio before you activate a device?

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  2 года назад +1

      Before or after so it can be marked off that the device specifically has been tested and making sure it comes up as the right zone

    Figured while I'm here I would talk about something I recently learned: my high school has a voice evac system in one room, that being the gym with wheelock speaker strobes. Everything else is horn strobes. My school district makes dumb decisions.

      I don't think it's a dumb decision but just the cheaper way of meeting the strict voice Evec rules in the US where large occupancy gathering spaces have to have it however it probably wasn't needed for the rest of the building

      Eh, the cafeteria is even bigger than the gym, and it just has horn strobes. You might not think that was dumb, but trust me, if you went to my school, you would be complaining about administration too.

    Hey bro you might have seen my previous comments regarding my schools fire alarm panel getting replaced, well it just died today and before it went out ut set the damn alarm off and called the fire dept. Also when we push silence it does a reset, and it will keep doing random power cuts and resets until it died. We out it on test for 48HRS. Also when it beeps for a trouble it is short fast beeps. The panel that is tweaking out is my profile pic. (Silent Knight IFP-1000). 1997-2025

    The funny thing is my school did a drill today too. we have simplex 4903 9219 alarms not sure about the panel. We have various t-bars from break glass to dual action some have the hammer cut off. we have duct detectors that have proven not to be reliable. The detectors have gone off false alarm 2 times.
