  • The quite calming sound of an old diesel engine whirring about for 10 hours. This is a nice sleep sound to play in your bedroom if you like listening to static sounds and want to try something new, unless you already have a diesel engine sound in your collection. The screen fades to fully black after 15 seconds
Static sounds are great to use as sleep sounds if you don't like silence in your bedroom, or if you want to block out other annoying external sounds from your environment. Examples of this can be construction, people talking outside your window, dogs barking, cars honking, neighbor's music, and other disruptive sounds created by men or machines. Sleep Noise TV got lots of static sounds that can be used to block out these unwanted sounds, letting you fall asleep faster and get a deeper more restful sleep at night
Static sounds explained: The definition of static is stationary or fixed, meaning there are no changes in the audio. Examples of this are desk fans, an idle car engine, water running in the sink, shaving machines, lawnmowers, waterfalls, and so on. White noise, pink noise, and brown noise are all static sounds
White noise explained: Sound that includes all frequencies audible to the human ear played at an equal intensity or amplitude is referred to as white noise. White noise is a combination of all of the different frequencies of sound. You can think of white noise as 20.000 different tones playing at the same time

Pink noise explained: Pink noise is another type of noise that contains all the sound frequencies humans can hear. Unlike the similar white noise which represents all the frequencies equally, the higher frequencies in pink noise are less intense, thus making pink noise sound deeper than the high-pitched white noise

Brown noise explained: Brown noise is deeper and stronger at the low end of the sound spectrum. It does not contain any high-frequency sounds like pink and white noise does. The sound of a roaring waterfall heard from a distance is an example of brown noise, which is quite commonly used as a sleep sound
