Saw the for the first time on 4/19 - 100% worth it. I actually just bought tickets to their newly announced Nov. 2 show at Red Rocks! I flew across the country - totally worth it.
I’m really loving this song so much more live, it is really a quintessential King Gizzard song, it has everything that the fans want and have always enjoyed. King Gizzard is definitely one of my favorite bands of all time. Their ever growing output will go down in history, for me they are a heavy metal Grateful Dead
As a lifelong Deadhead I completely agree. I've been trying to turn my friends and family onto Gizz using the same comparison for awhile now. I'm not sure if the boys are quite on the same level yet as the Dead were in terms of following, culture, and musicianship, but I think they'll keep growing and keep reaching their own unique and unreal peaks as time goes on. At this stage in the game they've been around as long as the Dead would've been in the mid 70's, and Gizz have already put out even more music than the Dead did when they were around a decade old. Jerry said quite a few times that the band didn't really specialize in writing new material, and that they were a performing act first and foremost. So in ways it is a bit apples and oranges but I agree that there are a lot of parallels between the two. I also consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been around long enough to see Jerry in his final years and to have been onboard the Gizz hype train since the beginning. Definitely my two favorite bands to have ever contributed to rock music, and I really look forward to seeing what Gizz has in store for us with each show, and with each new release. Another thing that's so exciting with these guys is that the more relentless they are with their touring the more it seems to feed the creative machine, and the more new material they put out. How they find the time to do that I'll never know, but they're an anomaly that few other bands could ever compare to apart from the Grates that is ✌️
@@jackstraw9635 they’re unbelievable, I just like how their live shows always seem to get better and better and they just keep growing and growing, seen them 3 times some of the best and most fun time I’ve had a rock concert, it’s like you’ll only really enjoy them tho if you’re a huge fan, like the Dead they are just like a cult band
Listening to this song live makes you realize we're watching one of the greatest bands on earth, and they aren't getting anywhere near the amount of attention that they deserve. I mean this track is just unbelievable. 18 minutes of pure musicianship.
I know this comment is a year old now, but I feel like they're getting quite a lot of attention considering they sold out 3 nights at Red Rocks haha. Not saying they don't deserve more though, they're killing it
Thanks so much for recording this song!! I was approx. 8 ft to your left but couldn't pay attention bc I had to focus on not getting kicked in the head by all 600 crowdsurfers that decided to go up during this song lol. Sounds incredible!!
Kudos to the cameraman - I'd have given up after a couple of minutes and started bouncing around. Really glad you didn't though, as we now get to share it - thanks!
Ambrose Kenny-Smith, my favorite living musician and songwriter. As others have said, check out The Murlocs and start with the album Manic Candid Episode!
I’m legitimately amazed that you stood so still. Like I can’t even stand still watching it ON my phone when it kicks in. My imagination wants to believe that you actually had a much wider lens, and then simply stabilized the center of it to give the illusion that you stood so still. In my mind, that makes more sense than, “You stood that still during Dripping Tap.” 😂😂 Thank you for this footage though. For those of us too poor to ever see anything live, this is just as good. Cheers. 🙏🙌
Without an unreal rhythm section it would never work for Gizz. They knew this and I think it's a big reason why they initially went with two drummers. Fortunately Cavs ended up being a machine.
Makes me hungry for a whole chicken just for the gizzard . And not a gaming hen , these lizards are wizards - metaphorically speaking of course , I'm really a vegiquarian
9:52 is the launch pad moment. I’m so happy to see bands getting back in to LSD. Good one boys, face melting. I hope y’all get in to the jam band scene in America. Team up with The Disco Biscuits!
@@riceguy9638 no, no real. What you’re saying means you don’t think I’m 40 years old. There’s a lot of LSA there’s a lot of analogues but you know L 25 when you eat it. They might be using synthetic ergot but it’s the same molecule. Unless you’re talking about some weird shit in your small town. I’m in Boulder, CO. Moved here from N.J. I’m sorry you were bunked by a fan, but that’s on you carry a UV flashlight that cost 10$ and make sure it’s real.
really appreciate you holding up your phone for 20 minutes straight to record this. i really hope i get to see this live one day.
I also appreciate how much better phone quality is these days. Sounds and looks great!

I'm one hundred percent happy that they did record this for us. This is history.

I don't think Joey could dress _more_ Australian. He looks like the band found him in a laundromat 3 town outside of Perth in 1987.
Fair dinkum
His name is joey
same clothes 2wks later in sonoma ca, definitely didnt hit the wash but maybe the surf🤔
😂🤣😂

Talent doesn't sell anymore that's why. People are use to dumb simple music and can't process talent like this

Good!!! We know em, that’s all that matters.
I love how they're arguably the most prominent band in current time, and here they are, looking like they're performing at a birthday party
They opened with this track in Tempe, AZ last night. Crowd went apeshit. Incredible show.
It was fuckin unreal
Always a great show they put on, definitely a staple in live rock music

I know how you feel. In da pit, you can't really pay attention to the music for being cautious for self safety in mind.
One of the best phone / audience camera clips ever, play loud though !
Omg this song was amazing live in Berkeley CA. Like omg...I was so damn happy!!
I wanna have a beer with these guys at least once in my life. Most amazing output of music in my life time ❤ thank you guys so much
they give me ALL the vibes, when people ask me, what kind of music they are playing, I tell them, I can't keep track
Fuck yes...
Yes 😀🤟🎉
I don’t know how this got recommended to me on my feed but I was there for this! What a great show and I’m glad you got a recording!

Seeing the boyos May 21st for the first time I cannot WAIT 😭
What a terrific energy KGLW share with their audiences. I've never seen anything quite like it - every show is a party!
I wished I had a Fitbit after one of their shows. It was one of the better workouts I've ever had!
Thank you. I was listening with my head phones and it's like I'm right there with you.🙌
I was just a couple people to the left of u!! So glad u got this whole thing recorded!!! Incredible
Look for the first track description I set full performance link
Seeing them in 3 days and I can not fucking wait!!!!!!!
Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi
Keyboard player got some pipes
Check out ‘The Murlocs’, he is also the lead singer of them. Amazing

Dude absolutely shreds his voice apart on "Cut Throat Boogie" from their first album
Can't wait to see this live in October... Hopefully they'll still play it by then
there will be 6 new albums out by then :P
Paramount theater? They’ll probably have even worse material by then. Fuck the lockdowns
@@queenpurple8433 Even worse? This album is one of their best.

Saw them both Vegas nights 17th 18th. I’m ready for a KGLW tattoo holy shit I love this band
The beginning and ending melody of this song hits home like an old gospel tune that no one can take the credit for...
My favourite cousin introduced me to this band. Thanks, Shailaja! ❤
Drip drip from the top don't slip!
i'm so ready to see this live myself!!
I saw them live in Arizona, crazy energy
Amazing. My favorite song from 2022

Just discovering this track. Live version is amazing as well. This could be their defining song.
Jorts Night!
I just got my Tickets for Hamburg this Summer - after 4 years finally I'll see them live

Billy strings and phish! But yeah king gizz is amazing love that the community supports live playing. Jam on

Thanks for this - its sounds so great - recorded on a phone...crazy!
ambrose's voice!!!
Sounds amazing
absolutely criminal that this is all they had for the light/stage show. They deserve WAAAAY more production than this.
