      Also it wasn't Assange who ordered the flight.
      Only one way to get to the island and then to Australia secure.
      Via private jet.
      It was a forced flight not by Assange his choice.
      That flight bill a wealthy donor paid to the Australian government.

    Trump wasn't in position to reap any benefit on the Assange issue. He had the opportunity to pardon Assange and end his personal nightmare, and didn't do it. He would say that he barely knew what Wikileaks was, which was absurd, given the impact the leaked emails had on the Clinton campaign in 2016.

    this was done in a lower court, very weak bordering on irrelevant for precedent. Real precedent would have required going to the Supreme Court. Julian would have died waiting for that. He was right to take the deal

      That's not true, either. Hundred year old imperial war machines don't get disbanded in a matter of years. Assange did more to damage the war machine than any individual in recorded human history. The effects of his labor are still echoing through history...

    A plea deal doesn't create jurisprudence like an actual conviction. Heard someone suggest that this may be one of the reasons they decided to do this instead of taking him to court. (I personally don't think that is likely because I assume they can get any result they want from a court anyway.)

    It's amazing how anytime Ukraine is mentioned in the western media, Georgia gets completely overlooked. Dave, I'm pretty sure you don't know this, but after losing the election in 2012, a lot of Georgian government folks went to Ukraine, where the revolution happened two years later. Nowadays, those Georgians who were part of the US-backed regime back home are some of the biggest officials in the Ukrainian government, and a bunch of Georgians are fighting there too.

    This tragedy highlights how our government acts when they get caught with their pants down. When the institution is broken but yet you are able to stay face with flashy lights and shiny things until the growth of the collected voices in World Wide Web says 🫵🏻 stop it. Our sloppy exit from Afghanistan was an example of what our government actually is without the PR to cover it up. Merit matters all the time. Time to end “soft on incompetence”

    I saw you guys in Vegas when you were here recently! (the first night) Only criticism Dave is your pauses were way too long for your jokes. Robbie did pretty well too. A few jokes from both got a little too vulgar though w/o enough good reason to be that vulgar. But overall a good stand up show from you both. Dave looks a little different and somehow thinner in the face in person.
