My favorite and most hated song by them. I love it because of the vet thing, I'm a vet, US Marine, and I hate it, because the lyrics man, when I think back to the sandbox, I realize Iraq was a complete waste of American lives, all so Bush Jr could finish his daddy's war. I've tried to justify it, make it seem important, but god damn it, it was a waste. What did any of them die for? They wrote a blank check for Americans, and Americans freedoms, but none of them died for Americans. To make it worse, whatever good was accomplished, was ruined in a week after we pulled out. That's heart breaking to me. No one gets left behind, but they were.

I always found it hard to thank veterans for their service, because most of the time they are just equipment being used by corrupt leaders. So I just started thanking them for their sacrifice. Because I do appreciate your sacrifices, regardless of the end result. There is a lot more to my story, but for now I'll leave it at that.

As someone who's father was combat deployed to Afghanistan twice (18 months during 2007/2008 as a 1LT and 9 months during 2012/2013 as a CPT) with the US Army, and did lose people under his command, I must say that I'm just really pissed off about Joe Biden's decision to leave Afghanistan in under a month and how thanks to that, the Taliban were able to then rapidly undo almost 20 years worth of hard work and sacrifice on the part of countless brave men and women that VOLUNTEERED to go over there, they didn't have to, and yet they decided to willingly risk there lives for what they belived in, with some of them never coming back, so to sum it up; Thanks Biden, may you never sleep well after having made so much sacrifice worthless now.

Seen video of the police shooting in Dallas years ago. And this reminded me of that because police are laying dead in the street and it cuts to different body cams of officers grabbing there rifles and sprinting towards there fallen comrades and gunfire and it made me think of this song
