- In this Documentary, I take you along for an adventurous journey around both Puerto Plata City, as well as checking out outlying beach towns. This trip is partly done by GoPro in the streets and by air with drone while visiting and interviewing various expats and tourists along the way.
The quick visits or drone sights include the Malecon with its beach bars / restaurants, the sculpture of Neptune, malls of Jumbo and La Sirena (Supermarkets), the new Amphitheater, Fortaleza San Felipe (fortress), the statue of General Gregorio Luperon, the light tower, the Teleferico (cable car) and Mt. Isabel, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club, Ocean World Adventure Park and Marina, Fun City Go Kart park, Sosua bay with Playa Alicia and Sosua beach, Encuentro, Kite Beach, and Cabarete beach.
I also interview some locals and some RUclips fans, and I finish off by displaying a variety of clips from what I do and discover down here. Enjoy! Brgds Mr.T

Hi Mr T Steve Bowness here from the UK Just wondered if you received my email reguarding the Bar opening and closing hours in Sosua and Cabarete, I did hear that all the bars in Sosua and Cabarete closed down at Midnight!!! I was in Cabarete in 2006 and all bars closed down at 1am does this still apply, also there doesn't seem to be any Brit ex pats or Brit tourists there now, hope to hear from you 👍 😀

That little blue Bldg 13:52/26:32. is where I' had my First Presidente back in 1968-9. Lived on my sailboat parked at the sugar-dock, that is no longer there. Lots of good memories.

Thanks a Million Mr.T. I'm an Old Norwegian Sailor, And Remember a lot of good times from Puerto plata, from the time I' used to live on my Sailboat that I' had tied up Next to the Sugar dock. Very nostalgic, Super good times, I'm going back to the island whenever I' got a chance, presently living in Florida. love sosua .....anybody from new york New jersey that needs a tour guide and is willing to pay for ticket....am on board.....spent 3 weeks there last time and boy i visited every corner...he didnt show the rivers and boogies...

I will be in Sosua in a few weeks and I will a tour of many places there. Where should I go for tours, excursions, and the mountain? I would like a reputable place as the general cost. A website will be even better.
When you get here, either visit Eric Tours on the beach entrance road in Sosua, or Fun Tours in Cabarete (opposite Scotia Bank), as these places sell tours at a lower rate than what you're going to find inside resorts. Brgds Mr.T

Deberían crear en puerto plata más espacio para el tránsito de personas y menos Tránsito de vehículos. En RD no hay una sola ciudad para el peatón lugares amplío para el comercio y plazas abiertas.
Deberían por lo menos pensar en el futuro ya que veo que estan vacías sus calles no hay turistas caminando hoy pero eso puede ir cambiando con una buena gestión profesional.
Ojalá y tomen de ejemplo a Medellín Colombia

When you've arrived in Puerto Plata, take a "moto concho" to a bike rental place (he will know where they are). Be sure to haggle upfront on all prices - should be about $10-15 per day depending for how long. I hope that helps, Brgds Mr.T
