Remember, this method will only work on mouse produced after 2005,
and do not do this method for ps2 keyboard.

No it doesn't work this way. You need extra IC. You can connect plus and ground same but the main problem occurs when you try to connect data connections. Because in PS2, data goes through a single cable, while the other cable is used for synchronization. In USB, data is carried through two cables, one positive and the other negative.

it wont work, since ps2 and usb are 2 different protocols,
just directly connecting ps2 data transfer wires to usb wont work, you would need a electronic converter for that,
data transferred by ps2 logic wont be understood by simple usb wires,
just from my opinion it wont work
For a short time, some computer boards had USB controllers that could understand PS2, but this was in the earlier 2000's. Newer systems do not always work both ways. You are correct.
Then how do the usb-PS2 adapters, so commonly available, work?
Do you think a $3 soldering iron can melt the wires?

Hello my friend.
Windows 10 just refused to show my ps2 mouse in device manager. rebooting many times did not fix it. Plugging another mouse in a usb port shows the mouse instantly.
So I thought I'd use your video to convert the ps2.
Inside the ps2 mouse I have 4 wires: black, white, green and red.
Those colors are exactly the same as in a usb cable for an old phone.
Do I connect the wires color to color or is there another trick?
usually the red and black are the DC + and DC -. The white and green i think should be flipped according to the video
my mouse has different colours there is yello,black,orange and big black what should i do?

Sure, if the wire configuration is same as the mouse i.e only 4 wires.

My mouse has a 5 wires what should i do?
one of them is not important (ground)

buy a new mouse with usb
@@ejdetoya826 use a multimeter. probe the connector's shielding with each of the 5 wires, checking for continuity. one of them should make your meter beep.
