The strongest form of motivation than few people will experience during hard times is FEAR ! I have done my greatest achievements (even though may be considered mediocre by some standards) out of pure terrifying fear ...
FEAR is truly a strong motivation but it can motivate you negatively when someone really wants to do something, the fear of screwing everything up motivates that person not to try it all.. which is really sad and bad for him
That's totally true. There's a book named 'The Art of War' written by Sun Tzu. In that book Sun gave a example of biggest motivation a man can have. There was some small army fighting with a hell bigger one. That battle seems to be lost but the commander led his mens to the edge of the cliff and told them they have 3 options. Jump from the cliff and die, lose o fight and die or save their lives by defeating enemies. In that situation, where they had no escape and they were fighting for all they had, which was their lifes. Finally they have defeated enemies and they lived happily ever after
Lava master i know what youre talking about ... i think . In that case you don't really want that thing that much and usually we get stuck in a comfort zone , afraid of taking risks .
One line mentioned in this that I really appreciate but is never truly defined any time I hear it is "take massive action." Most do not understand what that means. For some it is making the determination of change. For others it is actually as simple as hard work. Regardless, whatever one chooses to do the person will HAVE to take massive action to see the desired results. Thank you again for your videos.
You're right about moving away from Home. That made me go on the attack, as I had No One. You Must Network and "hit the pavement" then, get rejected, but keep forging through and on, shucking any "no's" along the way to your mission to land the career you want or woman you want etc etc.
a lack of motivation is something i struggle with everyday. I can get myself motivated briefly and than find the lack of discipline to keep going forward. This and many of your other video's really help clearing up some things about myself. Keep up the good work!:)
Real life version of this: 1) You are passionate about something. 2) You do your absolutely best to become great at that thing. 3) After some time all your progress completely halts. 4) You look around and see that other people are doing much better at that specific field with fraction of effort. 5) You realize its more about talent than motivation and dedication. 6) You try out around 10 other activities with the same result - failure. 7) You give up on life and just want to be dead already.
Dweliq the ideology of a loser. Think like this and you'll never put in the effort to excel, succeed, achieve something exceptional. Is that what you want? To be stuck at average or below-average level just because you don't perceive that you have as much talent as others?
Statistically you will never truly succeed, excel or achieve something exceptional regardless of how hard you try so go ahead, waste your time pal. I already tried many times, but maybe you will be the exception. 1 in 100 000 people can be great so why cant it be you? (sarcasm off)
Again, the thoughts of a loser. Defeatist thinking breeds only defeat. If you only think of yourself as trash who can't accomplish anything, "oh the odds are against me", "oh there's always someone with more talent", then you're doomed to be that trash you visualize yourself as. Which is pathetic. Don't be pathetic. Instead focus on what you can do and what you can achieve for. Pragmatic thinking breeds positive results. Which is why I clicked on this video in the first place, to help with motivation.
i really like all these videos which you're plublishing, each one has a deep and wise knowledgement, that makes me realize of all negative and bad habit which i used to do without knowledgement were not add me anything good to my life. so thank you so much, and i hope you keep on doing materials like this because really worth it
Please continue making both, "Book Reviews" and "General Advise" videos. Both are great self-help tools. Thanks for the efforts that go into your videos!
I can atest to most of these tips, they have helped me go from a complainer to a do-er. I re-watch it time to time to remind myself otherwise I'll slack off.
I like the collaboration. it means more coming from two people and also gives us more opinions on the subjects. I feel motivated. I'm going to clean my house and work out now.
I'd say two more very strong tips would be: 1) Keeping the goals in mind. Focus on the end, not the struggle - "no pain no gain", if you lose sight of the gain, you'll only think of the pain, and not achieve your goal. 2) Strength/Discipline - get used to struggle and pain, and not letting it discourage or defeat you. Discomfort, hardship, struggle, etc - all breed strength and build character. This can even be as easy as taking cold showers (which has a host of benefits), though it only works if you carry it over to other aspects of your life. Get used to discipline and effort and you're sure to be more successful and motivated.
This was a really good video and something that I needed to see and here. The best, happiest and most productive time of my life was when I was disciplined and had developed some really good and healthy habits. Lately I've been thinking how I need to get motivated again so this is what I needed to see. It's not the motivation I need. Rather, it's that I develop the habits again. Thanks. I'm going to sub.
OH I love this!!! You guys are the best! Thank you so much for this motivation! God Bless you both! Keep these awesome videos coming and stay wonderful!! :-D I'm gonna watch this everyday and make it a habit to become great in every way! THANK YOU!
dude I woke up one morning not knowing what to do where to go or how to get there. but over these last few weeks I'm meditating in reading and I'm sharing the know late I've learned with friends and family. this sharing of positive knowledge had led me to create a channle simular to yours and Improvement pills. plz never stop doing what your doing. you lit a fire under my ass and now I think i know what I want to do man. help other BeABetterYou (BABY) Live laugh &Love Life prolly going to be my channel brand. thanks
i actually like both, the general advice and the book reviews. they provide different insights and take another grip on the views and beliefs. anyways great videos and continue making those! Much love from Germany
Preface to this is that I'm a big fan of the channel and really enjoy your videos. This is one I had to disagree with on it's 4 M's of motivation. In my experience, people do have 4 types of motivators. But I would see them as either 1) pain avoidance, 2) some form of greed, 3) emotional reaction, or 4) a sense of obligation. I can't think of any motivator that wouldn't fall neatly into one of those categories. I feel like the 4 groups expressed in this video are just elaborations on what I would say is either a form of greed or a sense of obligation. But behaviors such as learning a martial art out of fear of being attacked or lashing out at a significant other out of a feeling of jealousy wouldn't fit into any of his 4 M's. He also implies that there is a natural hierarchy to types of motivations which, although would be a nice to believe, just doesn't match up to real life experiences. I would agree that some motivators are basic in nature and that other motivators are more advanced in that they require a greater level of insight and awareness; but he would seem to imply that advanced-type motivators are an altogether different category of motivator when they clearly still fit within the category of their base cause. Nonetheless, thanks for making me stop and think for a moment about something I probably wouldn't have considered without having watched your video. I'm looking forward to watching more of them.
You truly have helped me with your videos. I have been getting farther with a girl, I'm not getting as mad as I used to be, and I'm getting a lot of compliments on how much of a gentleman. Thank you so much.
I got into your channel through book reviews so I wouldn't mind some more of those. I would like to truely and deeply thank you for this video. It is my dream to master myself and my emotions so I may better the lives of others around me. for those who have dreams as strong as mine, and who do not yet understand the most basic of elements discussed in the video, I believe that I speak for everyone when I say please keep it up! Thanks again!!
Thanks for these super inspiring words, I smiled the whole time reading them; I'm so glad to be a positive influence in your life, and I wish you best of luck :)
