Adding the shrieker zombies with the jumping jacks within rounds would elevate the tense experience of die rise remastered with the close quarters.
honestly its crazy how well the shriekers fit the map layout of die rise making them so threatening, and their screeches also fit the ambeince of die rise, they really actually work super well as a rare spawn id love to see them stay

If you want to mix up the jumping jacks you could have them create small puddles of sliquifier liquid either when they jump or when they die, wouldn’t damage them but can get in your way. And have them dripping purple liquid
Could also add the electric ones from alpha omega in the elevator shafts or just a mix of these 2 and default ones going around. Could even slap in the nova crawlers occasionally too for variety

I have this mod. The extra bosses mod is interesting, but I kind of wish there was a mod where you can customize which boss zombie you want in a zombie map. Like the 50 perks mod, but with all of the COD zombie bosses for you to choose which ones you want in instead.

Being excited for round based zombies being a thing in a current game is sad considering round based started in WAW. It shows how far away from the original idea that we all liked companies have got.

How is there no modernized lfd turned mode or even zombies roguelike. I think roguelike zombies is truly the next step. Throw in a couple round based maps and shift the formula a little similar to the storyline in bo4 but with actual gameplay instead of characters no one has any reason to care about in a primarily story based mode. You could literally reboot the same story beats or even revive the bo1 storyline path. New universe where things are similar but slightly different maybe you even keep Monty but instead of perks you get gobblegum or elixir esque items which give you electric cherry on grenade throw or idk little “builds” like binding of Isaac or hades.
Vanguard tried to dip its toes in roguelike territory with the Covenants system but it felt pretty half-baked and the upgrades were negligible until you got legendary rarity ones. Would love to see it return in some capacity because I completely agree that roguelike zombies is untapped potential. My only concern with it is there's a balance you need to find with roguelike mechanics where you want to make them actually have a difference, but you don't want to make it seem like the entire game is dependent on your RNG, and I think Vanguard's issue was the former, they didn't make the Covenants change the gameplay ENOUGH.
