Hope you guys enjoyed this video. A lot of you are asking what framerate I shot at- the answer is 120fps in 1080p. Sorry for not including that in the video!
Another great video!! Just have a few quick questions :) 1. Do you edit in 4K timeline even tho the clips are 1080p to make the compression better when uploading to IG? 2. How do you get music for client videos? Licence from Epidemic as well? 3. Did you use any external lighting when shooting this video? (in the restaurant)
Awesome stuff! Also interested in the 1080p source files vs the 4k timeline. Doesn't that force you to upscale the 1080 footage, decreasing its quality?
I am so stoked on your videos man we have very similar editing styles and I can totally relate to what you’re doing because you use Final Cut. You are quickly becoming one of my favorites on this platform. Hey when you get a chance check out my latest video and tell me if you see similarities throughout LOL I’m definitely not trying to troll your audience and get views on my video that’s why I am commenting here but please check it out and get back to me your opinion does matter because you are a boss :-) ruclips.net/video/Mbn_tXCRwAE/видео.html
dude, I 100% sent your one of your food videos to a local restaurant the other day and was like "could I make something like this for you?" and they were super hype about it, so thank you for helping me get a client😅👌
Also, now that I've actually watched the video, I love this. Definitely gonna try editing like this, getting my clips cut to how I want them, adding markers to the music and then just conforming the clips to the music. It seem's like a really focused process fr.
Anyone in this comment section, please help me out. ( What Editing Prigram/Software is he using? ) He never simply just mentiones the editing program he uses! Or maybe I just misheard all the time Please, and thanks a lot!
This video is brilliant! Guys honestly pay attention to this right here. So inciteful! I’ve been doing my this for 17 years now and I always find your info honestly top notch. Nicely San Daniel!
I’m here because I saw your post on Matti Haapoja’ “top youtubers”. Can’t beleive schiffer wasn’t mentioned in his top five, glad you did because he is by far the best out of that bunch. I’ve been binging these like crazy and already learned mlre in less time than Matti.
i don’t even regret not going to a film school or not taking a film class bc this is good stuff!!! i been following ur tips and i’m loads better than i was before i started watching ur videos 😻😻
Honestly a great and straight forward video. Exactly what I, and I imagine plenty of others, was looking for. Instantly a new fan and follower! Keep these up, great job. Now subscribed!
Just need to acknowledge the masterpiece that is the framing! The shot is perfectly square and centered in the room, the desk and laptop at a nice angle, and showing an interesting perspective of the artist in his natural environment with his tools at work.
Another great video man. Thanks for sharing your process. A lot of people are afraid of sharing their "secret sauce" because they fear other might steal it but you know that there's many other factors to being successful. It's fascinating to see how other creators go about their workflow. I actually use a similar technique in Premiere Pro sometimes when editing to music.
What a great & simple tutorial. Thanks for making this, I'm just getting into making promotional videos for restaurants and this is giving me so much more confidence to create something dope!
You seriously have some awesome skills. And I sincerely appreciate you sharing them. Your tips help me every single time I watch every video. So THANK YOU
There is no college or university that will teach you this. Very informative and relevant even in 2023.Thank you so much have learned something new today.
What i like about thisvideo is that it just shows how different everybodys workflow is. I could never edut the way you do cause i often use the rhythm of a shot to match it with the song. Not saying your way is bad, just pointing out the different habits everybody has. Cool eorkflow mr Shiffer.
Watching this in the nick of time... About halfway through a video edit featuring sushi at a new restaurant in Boston. A lot of helpful tips here. Your videos always inspire and educate. Thanks Daniel.
Wow this is what I need in my life to learn. Thank you for this video and I hope you can make more videos like this it really helps us beginners learn allot.
Dude your videos are FREAKING AWESOME! Because of tutorials and videos like yours is that I still love this platform, super useful and very well done. Keep it up man!
Awesome tutorial. I'm a beginner and just came across your channel. Watched a bunch of videos already and learned so much that now I think I have a foundation to start practicing and bringing ideas to life. Your tutorials are the best I've seen, thanks a bunch!
This is a great video Daniel, thank you. Of course, being a newb like myself I have had to watch it 14 times, stopping and rewinding 24 times during each session to grasp the various techniques, lol, but this is great stuff. Thx again.
Awesome video as always, I would recommend an adjustment layer for color grading by stretching it over your clips instead of copying and pasting... But you might know that already 😉
I was hoping this day would come! Super interesting seeing your work flow, deffo gonna try out some more of the key frame camera movement. Keep up the great videos Daniel, been learning so much from your channel.
Ahh dude this tutorial is lit! Thank you for articulating your process and showing difference between the raw footage and the changes you made. I'm trying to improve in my editing skills and understand the interaction between taking footage and what could be done in post. Been supporting you since you had that banana in the back! Lol keep doing you my dude
Thanks for the video! Can you estimate how often do you use a smooth transition instead of a rough cut? One third of all the cuts, half of the cuts? When is it too many smooth transitions? I don't feel it yet(
If you do the speed changes to emphasize actions (for example start the knife cutting in slow motion, and change to normal speed right as it´s about to cut) the changes will get a lot more meaning and carry more weight. Other then that really good tutorial as always :)
Hey Daniel, I just wanted to say that I love all of your content and you're a huge inspiration to me! keep up the amazing work and I look forward to watching your latest videos.
how do you have/how are you using effects in "titles" to use for actual transitions? and i cant find a ryan nangle pack that matches what your title for them is. and his are in the transitions and not titles. which is also my confusion from the first part
This is super helpful thank you - Would you do a video on the first part of your process, your workflow for how you chop down all of the clips into the lengths you want, and best practices for that?
Hope you guys enjoyed this video. A lot of you are asking what framerate I shot at- the answer is 120fps in 1080p. Sorry for not including that in the video!
Pt 2 of the trendy restaurant videos! Love these videos man 🔥

It had to be said 😂
Does that mean I’ve achieved “influencer” status? 😝
@@MarkHoltze Aw man you did that for me??? Mad respect my friend 🙏
great video brotha...I have a similar process. Food videos are the best. Food never moves, it does what you tell it to, and it never talks back.
Love the final cut tutorials. Keep them coming.
DO you edit youe montages in FCPX?
