It's a shame these guys didn't get as much recognition as they deserved.
Emery Ashdown the truth.
Agreed
@DANNY DIRE you're getting too carried away, Erasure have had a TON of airtime wtf are you talking about???
Brilliant album
They did. Long live the '80's
Everyone is talking about Marc and yeah he's amazing but listen to this synth work from Dave! Legendary... Both of them
Dave has an amazing ability to put the notes in the correct order to sound like the most amazing things you’ve ever heard. Sex Dwarf is a great example of this!
They compliment each other in finished product. Marc not being the best vocalist ever was refreshing
Lyrics that are real and unsurpassed and music that never dates...just a frenzy of creative genius. Don't care if you disagree...this is truly musical poetry in motion.
"Frenzy" perfectly captures the feeling I get everytime I listen to this album
The older I get the more this song makes sense. Hard to believe Marc is a ordinary man
doubt he is
Die Musik von Soft Cell war, ist und wird immer in meinen Leben eine große Rolle spielen.
Marc & Dave sind einfach geniale Musiker!
Für mich einer der besten auf der Welt!
This seams to get even better with age. Timeless.
Yeap, with every new day you understand much more what he was singing about ....😂
Ya and as you get older you begin to see were like hamsters in a fecking cage with a wheel, Marc almond has crammed a lifetime of life in to his life
He has done something
He has achieved a lot, kudos to him and his buddy
@@quasimodo8215 that's the truth and Mark has seen more than most of us will ever see, me for one
@@quasimodo8215 it’s either he wanted to die or buried alive hahaha
@@mahlyarobinson4912 dear Mahlya it is impossible to estimate something about your age but I suppose that you're distinctly younger than 20. Personally I comprehended a lot of things going around in my life at very young age due to circumstances . The majority of the population would be able to sing this song as their hymn. Almost every young person think how special, different and indomitable she or he is. Most of them ends as "another brick in the wall". It doesn't have to be that way, but trust me - the price for being individual and independent is pretty high. All the best for your way. ✌
This man is a human biscotti. I will not be taking questions at this time.
TheDescan 1.0 🤣
people kept telling me i sounded like marc almond so i listened to their album. honestly honored
steal his look
So much aggression. I love it.
Iconic 80s synth pop, pure class!
Oh Marc 😍 loved you then and you’ve still got it
I love it back in 1984 when I heard it.. And still love it..
I never heard anything from Soft Cell besides the ubiquitous "Tainted Love". Seems I am missing out!
Man get yourself non stop erotic cabaret , every song is brilliant on it great lirycs too
Without a doubt. And they didn't even write "Tainted Love." Many of the songs on this album told stories.
Before this I knew only Tainted Love and Memorabillia
Yeah memorabilia is fantastic
try torch , where the heart is
One of my all time Favorite Songs. David's intense and complex tempo is so cool and of course Marc's awesome voice and lyrics.
See what the Masses Miss out on when they only Listen one Song ( Tainted Love ) over and over again. Soft Cell are more than that song. Marc Almond and Dave Ball are both Talented Beyond Compare.
Soft Cell are Extremely Underrated.
I seem to revisit Marc's music more than any other. It still holds up ...hugely underated ...
My all-time fave
Just saw Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret played in its entirety in LA last night and it was so brilliant!!
Sadly no Dave Ball
@@chaoswitch1974
Why not?
This tune n album never gets old
Thankfully for 80's Attic music app keeping this song going today
Definitely one of my most favorite songs. I was born in 2004 and bean listen to soft cell since I was younger and that was a long time ago and I'm like 19
This seems to awaken something that you didn't even know you had in you
WHAT IS THAT MELODY 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Happy Birthday, Mark Almond!
This album is a classic
This is an amazing album so much memories travelling between Aberdeen and Newcastle in the 80s listening to this album love thank you very much
I really want Dave Ball to produce my album - actual genius.
I love this song sm
In love with marc almond and Dave ball, they need more recognition, my friends who heard about them fell in love after they heard them.
The audio on this video sounds amazing
I just picked this cd up for free. No scratches, so stoked :)
I really envy you!
I love this song so much, it is absolutely perfect
Nice sound, and more punk sounding lyrics for Soft Cell!
I wish they made more shit like that but i get thats not they genre
Fantastic
One of the darkest new wave songs
,,I wanna die" - the most reletable lyrics ever
exactly
likewise!
Never seen this video before! absolutely fantastic ☺
" what do you want to do tonight? "
" I wanna experiment with Cocaine and LSD and set a bad, bad example"
- every time, since 198_
Yesss! Genius song and Marc is gorgeous
True !
:D :D :D
New Wave ANGER sounds so delicious
Tireless tune ❤
Please play this song at my funeral.
I didn't know there was a video for this!
if you can find a copy of the DVD "non stop exotic video show", you will find that there are a lot of Soft Cell videos that you never knew existed.
Thanks!@@marcmartin1999
I love the soft cell music videos because Almond is having the time of his life while Bell looks ready to kill himself
Love this song ...
I forgot how much I love this video
Great song and video! Never seen this before
Oh, Soft cell !
mark almond 大好きです ♪
Listening on my 44th birthday;))
This is probably the best music video I've ever seen
Soft Cell é muito bom!
this video and song are so calm 😌😌
Marc's vocal performance is stellar and David Ball finally gets some focus with this video gem. I would have like to have seen it during the songs release, but thank goodness for RUclips for being so willing to help fill in the blanks of my music video past. This take on life in the suburbs is a lot! I have to wonder what kind of flack they got from it. 🤔🤔🤔 Surely less than Sex Dwarf. 😉
My quarantine anthem! Sorry neighbours!! WHAT!!?? ARE YOU TALKING TO ME!!??
"Frustration" is what I often feel when I can't fucking RETURN to my "1982/83 safe bubble" and be again a "13 year old kid" having my mind musically BLOWN by EPIC bands like Soft Cell right here!!!...
Hey, "April Fools Day" prank me into believing these ( current times of "the 2020s" ) are some sort of fucked up JOKE and therefore NOT REAL!!!...***April Fools Day 2024***🎉🃏
simply this day know the message of this song...great
To those Gen X who audaciously claim that Soft Cell is underrated. They went straight to the top of popular culture and they are still at the zenith, a place none of the contemporary “pop stars” will ever go. The cause of this misperception must be the poor results in RUclips videos and numbers. The plagued mind and its metrics.
This is absolutely amazing art ❤️
Such a good song!!
Wow love soft cell, just heard this first time ever what a song ♥
try MONOCULTURE ! by 2Almonds on youtube... by Soft Cell
@@stefanov2387 Awesome just listened to it. Thanks for recommending 😊
loved it!!!! pure punk
So relatable
Sounds of my youth ❤️
"I'm begging to not give a damm "
Just amazing Soft Cell lyrics as always how old were they then
He sounded pretty frustrated by the end of the song.
OMG tunes take me back
I also love the mutant moments version of this! Darker and arty
So underrated.
They played music in the future
That must have been a posh family home there witha "FlyMo" (Most had a rotary lawn mover then!!)
;D
Deep & Dark synth pop
I only knew soft cell from tainted love but this is great to just goes to show my generation could never ❤
Shame that these guys had to go down as one hit wonders. Like Devo they deserved more.
What are you on about...? ...one hit wonders......educate yourself they have had 4 top 5 hits and other records in the charts .
@@brizeeuk That's why it's a shame. Ask literally anyone and they'll tell you these guys are one hit wonders.
what a load of rot..the 'Cells aren't or never were defined by "hits"... you just don't get it...
I think he means that most people probably just know them by that tainted love cover they did like me until now. And it sucks I haven't heard this till now
In the UK they had a number of hit albums and singles.
Great song 😎👌🏻
I like the variety in these music videos from soft cell because of how Dave Ball often looks very much a gentlemen work office appearance about him and Marc is kind of like especially in this video very much a teenager especially with the style of jewellery and he’s just going mad with the world and he’s saying that he wants to die too.
Marc’s always looked to me like the more energetic and crazy guy, Dave being calmer and such
This song is basically my life 🤨
Me too
dang bruh...
best lyrics :)
Merry Christmas Softcell...... greetings of Peru....
perfeito
They need to put the garden in this video on one of those programmes where they transform gardens. For example Garden Rescue, or Love Your Garden.
It has potential, but there's not much in it.
timeless sound, siempre Soft Cell
Marc Almond may have single- handedly killed any chance I had of ever getting married, lol don't listen too close.
Artists like these, today we have none. Substance is over with, now it's just narcisistic "art".
Sembra una canzone dei Cure
I had it on vinyl
Devastante!
💖
One of my favorite Softcell's songs, still in my Playlist, but... "Requeat in pace"??? Shouldn't it be "Requiescat in pace"? Ok, I know, who gives a F, anyway... Long live Softcell's music, and Marc's too, of course!!!
You're right! The epitaph we often see on gravestones is "Requiescat in pace" (May he rest in peace.) But this video suggests that Dear Dad was not resting but was, in fact, requeating, and not very peacefully at that...
@@Omunene thanks. Nuances I've missed, English is not my first language...
I wish there was a karaoke version of this.
An anthem of all ordinary people, that's what it is!
Ordinary people did not hear this song in the past neither in the present...
@@bsz5745 some of the could have. I turned it on in my English class when we discussed the music.
22 dislikes??? go cry in the doorway of the Pink Flamingo pls and thank you
Just make sure they wave goodbye.
And I think that I like it, but no I don’t like it. It just goes on over and over and over again !!!!
Very dark wave
Maravilha ♡
I too have a lot of frustration XD 😅
Zajebisty numer!
FOREVERxx
*this seems like an acid trip tbh*
Marc, you're so cute!😗😍😗😍
Omg he is
I was born one day I'll die .there was something in between I don't know what or why ..he's so underated as a lyricst
"I watch girls". Sure.
That makes him ordinary,! If he watched men .. it would make him not ordinary! I don't care. I love this song regardless!!
That’s the point, he said that cause he’s telling the satire story of the stereotypical “ordinary” guy, all of this is sarcasm :) love marc
maybe he wats to see what theyre wearing.
😂😂
Nice bit of casual homophobia there. Well done for not listening to the lyrics properly and understanding the context...
Flymo FTW !
