@@GreatAmericanCoasteryeah, you gotta ride it with the re-track. They still need to finish retracking it, and get new trains, but it’s a lot better now.
Rapterra's launch doesn't accelerate as fast of Thunderbirds however unlike Thunderbird, this launch is inclined, meaning it'll probably feel just as intense.
It’s worth noting when discussing launch acceleration that rapterras launch goes uphill seemingly more than thunderbird and is thus likely quite similar in force also idk how true this is since it isn’t in the pov but in an ACE interview someone from the park said it has near misses.
Canada's Wonderland looks to be getting what should have replaced Volcano honestly.... Nothing can replace the Volcano theme and intensity of that first launch. Especially at night. Like not downing this new ride, but this should have defiantly gone to Canada's Wonderland. Kings Dominion should be receiving this record breaking Premier launch coaster. It does suck they took down the mountain for volcano but Wonder Mountain is still there hence the theme/stage is already set for that new attraction.
I feel the Volcano was a far better and more iconic ride. Kings Dominion keeps tearing down all their iconic coasters (Shockwave, Volcano, Anaconda) and renaming others (Rebel Yell, Scooby Doo, and Hurler) . The Grizzly is now their best coaster by far, even though they changed the first drop and relaid a lot of new track on it as well. Just keep the rides that people have loved instead of continuously changing everything. The beauty of an Amusement Park is that these coasters are the ones you rode with your parents (and in some cases, your grandparents) as kids. You then want to take your kids and share your childhood rides with them. Unfortunately, these coasters have stood the test of time in other parks, but at Kings Dominion, they seem to have a 30 year shelf life. Now that the mountain is gone, this park is unrecognizable. Volcano was an awesome ride, I wish they would have spent the money on renovations instead of this new coaster that otherbparks seem to have similar versions of.
I think you're a bit blinded by nostalgia. I agree that KD should keep their more iconic rides, but that doesn't mean the park is bad. If Volcano were still around we'd still be waiting for the next coaster to be built. Even with a refurbishment, they would have to redesign everything, because Paramount didn't know what they were doing.
I hate when people say General public. Everyone making these videos are general public. You buy tickets and you wait in line like everyone else. It also takes no skill or knowledge to ride coasters you just sit down. People keep saying general public then make predictions videos like they are something special and proceed to get nothing right.
A person from the general public is an average person, while enthusiasts/ park fans know much more about the park. The general public has no idea that Anaconda is leaving, while we have been predicting this for awhile now. A person from the general public buys a ticket at guest services and wastes half the day waiting in line for a ride at the front of the park, while an enthusiasts gets a season pass and heads to the back of the park to marathon their favorite ride. You see the difference?
i doubt KD would get one given griffon is just under 1 hour away, and i feel they respect each other to not copy what the other has to keep it diversified. would have thought BGW would have been the ones to get the wing coaster 1st, but nope. so now the question is when they gut that horrid snake anaconda out of the park what should replace it.
@@EmberMcLain87they should remove anaconda and give it a bnm hydro or some unique coaster, using the lake as the advantage for one, i think this is good for diversity, but i doubt six flags would do this unless they listen to fans
“Rides like Grizzly, rough as shit” *shows POV of Grizzly after Gravity Group retracked it with pre-cut wood
remember I rode it in 2019

grizzly fire now

Looks flat to me in this animation
@@robw5741 It's not
It’s DEFINITELY inclined. You can physically see it when in the park.
now that this is built let's see how long till we get the word of the arrow finally being laid to rest.
Anaconda is ❤
Everytime someone says anaconda is going to die, it pulls through somehow like the kings entertainment company left a curse before selling the park
This aged well.
@grandjohn surprised it took 5 months. thought it'd been sooner.

Back row ride on Grizzly are amazing
Just found your channel! Love the upbeat slightly funny feeling! DEF SUB TO THIS PERSON!

What confuses me is that Raptor at Gardaland was the first B&M wing coaster. It does look like a great ride for KD

Have you been on a dive coaster? Rapterra is nowhere near as intense as a dive😅
I think after I305 they went with the sure thing and wont take as many risk as they did with i305
