That bridge pickup sounded really good. I usually have to role my tone down on the bridge because they are so bright. I did put in a Fender wide range cunife in the bridge position on my surf green jazzmaster and it sounds great. Really sounds cool in the middle position with the stock Fender neck pickup.
Hey!!! I’m not sure when they’re dropping, and I didn’t get the output specs. I’m using 1k, I haven’t changed the wiring because the wiring in the Vintera II Is surprisingly good.
I want this exact setup for my next Jazzmaster. I already have the JM-V and JM-FAt in my current Jazzmaster and these pickups seem perfect to me. I love the Black pickup covers. They look really sharp with Gold pick guard. We need more Jazzmasters with Black pickup covers.
How long does the battery last on those? I really don't want to drill a hole in one of my JM's I wanna throw these in for a battery compartment, but having to remove the pickguard frequently seems like a PITA.
@@jordanebacher it’s not a strat pickup at all. It’s just a doubled up Jazzmaster pickup. Same shape, just deeper. It sounds good. Fuller. It’s what you “expect” from a bridge position to be from modern standards. Like a tv jones plus.
Been tempted to order this bridge pickup. Definitely has more balls than a typical Jazzmaster pickup but more spank and maybe a bit thinner in the midrange than the JM-Fat. REALLY happy with the JM-V+JM-Fat combo I've been using for a few years.
It’s a good bridge pickup. The stock JM bridge is usually very ice picky. I rarely ever just play the bridge on a JM for this reason.
Agreed!!! This is by far the best JM bridge pickup that I've come across.

Dude!!! I got the new cunife/cobalt pickups dropped in and I’m stoked more cunife stuff! The cunife stuff is life!!!! 🙏🏾
@@JasonTMays They sound so freaking good lol. Which JM did you put them in?
@@scottbussey499my Vintera II. 😬
Love this man! Thank you! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed! 🙏🏾😊
Bro, you make want them and I don’t even have a JM!
I guess we’re gonna have to get you a Jazzmaster just to get them!
Lol, no more guitars for me for a while! Pickups though..@@JasonTMays
@@mooseymoose True!!!!! well this bridge pickup is definitely the move!
Sounds great!! 🤘🏼
Thanks!! 🙏🏾
Love the way that pickup sounds, hope they drop soon. Do you have information on the output of the pickups? Also what pots are you using?

These golden jazzmasters with black pickups look gorgeous
I agree!!! That black and gold combo comes in clutch!

Thank you!!! Gold Guard JM's with Black pickup covers is pretty damn classy.
JMaster set my EMG are hands down my favorite Jazzmaster pickups if played. Not going back after playing them.
Those are amazing pickups! I did my first video ever on this channel for the EMG JMaster set. I don’t blame you for not going back.

@@hamblok0 You can get a good few months to a year out of those depending on how often you play and how often you keep your guitar plugged in.
i have the jmv and jm fat on my classic vibe 60s and im very happy with them. Novak makes some great stuff. awesome demo man.
Thank you!!! And I agree, Novak is amongst the best in the business!
You have the JM fat in the bridge position? Is it bright or ice picky? Does it sound like a Stratocaster pickup?

I went with the J. Mascis sig set (alnico II) with 500k pots in the lead. Perfect balance of the highs
Bet!!!! That sounds like an awesome balance! The Mascis Signature set is a great alternative! Hope you enjoy it.
Good stuff!
Thanks dude!!!!! You know I had to bring out the Radiohead riff for ya!
They sound great
Thank you!!! 🙏🏾

Do it!!!! Curtis Novak does not miss!!!!
Thanks For Sharing 🧠🎸🎶🎶✌️
Not a problem! Thank you for watching!!!!
I know this is an old video but was the Cojones pick up in the neck position also?
@@dciccoritti It was the bridge, but the neck pickup was another prototype.
@@JasonTMays Ah, thank you.
How would compare them to the jm-fat in the bridge?
It's a little spicer than the JM-fat. But, I LOVE the JM-fat. These pickups in general tend to be a little spicer.
I dislike standard JM bridge pickups as well, but this demo is pretty dark.
Indeed! I like that about the cojones.
The JMV I'm pretty sure stands for JM vintage, You said JM5 like it's in Roman numeral.....
Cool! Thank you for the correction.
