Come spring this will be on the end of my line for sure! Nymphing or swinging it through runs, or using it as a dropper behind a dry fly, this is another pattern I don't leave home without. Thanks for the masterful tie Davie!
A lovely pattern Davie, I'll have a go at this one. About 45 years ago there was a fly called the Hen Pheasant which had the orange silk body, pheasant tippet tail, gold ribbing, light ginger hackle and hen pheasant wings. I dont know who tied it but it was a superb fly for night fishing on the Tummel. Sizes 8&10 wet hooks were great. It was also tied with a red/orange silk. Cheers Big Davie
I have been subbed to you for awhile.I never actually went fly fishing. But I Like to go just normal lake fishing. If something bites, im happy. I have 2 plastic containers filled with flies. I rarely use them, but occasionally, I have one that looks like a bee... I just attach it to my line and swing it. It doesnt go far because it weighs nothing, but something always bites. :)
This pattern works well for older rainbows. And for just planted rainbows, with pink dubbed body or pink goose shoulder wings. This is good choice for rainbow, if you are tired to fish with wooly buggers :D
Do you tie jigs or spinner baits? Spinner bait are a challenge to get around the arm. Nice fly I like how there are many options for the same fly almost endless color combinations it an art. Great video have a wonderful day!
A Holy Artifact, using this fly connects one to Dame Juliana and Ike Walton . I'll bet JC Himself cast it on the river Jordan, being able to walk on water He must have saved a bundle on waders.
Hi Truncamosca, I use a Sony AX100e Camcorder with a 2+fliter screwed to the lens which allows me to get a closeup shot of the fly...I'm glad you liked the fly.. All the very best Davie
Ryan Houston has a video up on RUclips last night “Blindfolded fly tying” lol lockdown fly tying for a bit of fun. You have to whip up a ‘Black Pennell’ you up for it Davie for a laugh??? 👀

Honestly Davie, it is a pleasure to watch you tie. So neat and deliberate.
This and the Green Peter are the first two flies I was inspired to tie after watching your videos many years ago. Thanks Davy,
Love the March Brown especially as you can tie it as a Spider too. Excellent pattern. Thank you for another one dude.
A great pattern, superbly tied by yourself,
Superb fly Davie. Well tied and explained as always. Many thanks.

Beautiful. I fish a lot of NC Spiders upstream. I really need to give winged wets a honest try. Love using silk.
Super produkcja 👍
My absolute favorite when it comes to wet flies. The March Brown has the license to catch the red- or black-spotted.
Superb pal.
Fun fly, thanks for sharing! KANSAS USA
