My name is Josh, I work for Tigercat. I particularly make the front blade and the rear lifting boom on our skidders! This is our biggest machine, and it is really amazing to see you guys in the field using it! Thank you for your video!
Amazing machine!!
It would be cool to be a service tech.
Nothing more aggravating than heading back out on the skid trail and seeing 1,2 or more trees that done slipped out the grapple. Eats up your time gathering back up. Been doing this for 24 years and by no means at all do I know everything. Watching the 830 cutting,I always learn something and how can apply techniques to make my job more efficient. Don't know about everyone else, but myself, surely do appreciate the time you put into making these videos Tim. To portray a professional and positive image to the timber business.
Wayne Tharp pretty sure he is laying them down exactly where he wants them. Don't believe Derrick is a man that's going to do a halfway job.
David Haley is a logger and he’ll talk about what he’s doing as he’s hot sawing
This is where my dangle head track cutter works so well, I have so much reach and my head will turn any which way. I can cut those trees in that ravine and slide them back to the top in two motions and I can outwork a hot saw in that situation. People with hot saws get so mad when I tell them that but its true. That is why we choose the dangle because we are always on steep ground where most of the time the skidders have to have roads and we still cable a lot in this area. Flatlands I would pick a hot saw all day long, but in the mountains a dangle will smoke a hot saw head. That 830 is a sweet machine!
The sound is great. It is fun to watch everyone working like a great team.
This is the Super Bowl of logging videos. I hope Chad and Derek know it too.
Tigercats getting it done. You can barely hear Derrick's machine. Chad's skidder has the coolest sound, especially when it's pulling a big drag. Awsome👍👍👍
Can you imagine with a straight exhaust like they put on trucks. Man it would sound good but get too loud after a day of work
The sound is great.
Yes that would be awesome to hang out with you in your shop thank you for inviting us hope you have great day
Nice to see you showing all the equipment in action. Yes i like seeing you hanging out and seeing you messing around doing different things. Be safe have a great day
I can believe how much weight that cutter head can hold and just lay it down whenever he wants and the skidder he's pulling a ton of tree's each pull, great video as always
There is a plate that the tree sits on. So the weight isnt on the actual cutter head.
You said that one was going to be a telephone pole would that be red pine or Norway Pine or what do you guys use for telephone poles down there
Man that feller buncher that is an animal I can't believe how much weight that thing can throw around like nothing
The video made me feel like I was there. You could put Derrick on a loop on one of those soothing videos. LOVE the smell of pine.
Great explanations of the nuances of what the operators are doing & why. Thank you!
The Tigercat 635D with its 6.7 liter Cummins engine and 10 monster tires is an absolute beast! It's incredible to see the power and capability of this mega machine in action.
Unbelievable pulling power those Tigercat have. Ya can almost feel the ground shake when the skidder goes by. Awesome video Tim, thanks
my name is lindsay goins and i enjoy watch you video and i injoy hearing the sound of the tiger cat and the heavy equipment and seeing the men operate them .and i like the way you explain everything and how everything work.and explain the login business in full detail the up and down .all i can say keep up the good work
Like hanging out, especially tinkering with power equipment, power saws.
All your films are good, workshop or outside. Your commentary is what makes them all so good.
Man that cutter (and operator) is a quick SOB. Sounds like a quick recovery time.
Chad talking to them trees- is that like John Candy talking to the washing machine in Uncle Buck? Lol! Chad is an awesome operator of that kitty kat!
great video Tim , the sound of that 635d is like crack to a crack head lol be safe and have a blessed day !
Sign me up , I wish Tonka had that when I was a kid .. Love quality of both sound and sight
"That's when you start talking to the trees, calling them names.... I think it helps."
Lol. Great video. Satisfying to see so much work getting done. You guys are good.
It is a very impressive machine no doubt about that!
Sorry to see Cummins lose another OEM.
Thanks for sharing!
The sound was great. No wind noise at all.. And we like hanging out with you anywhere.. :))
Working in a forest environment is some of the most enjoyable work mankind can do and I'm not there but I remember that pleasant 'fragrance'. Just keep enjoying life!!!!
Sure beats the old screaming Detroit powered sliders I ran as a young man I’m Maine i would have love to run one these newer models
I enjoy watching you work around your shop, I'm proud to see the differant military branch flags hanging on your wall beside the stars and stripes! The pride you take in your job and crew... Well done sir, well done!!!
Chad is good at his job
it,s nice to see diferent videos in the shop and the woods
Man that is one thing I like about your channel you show us all kinds of thing that you do. My Daddy showed me all the things he done helped me learn how to do thing. I can't do the things you do now but it is fun seeing how you do it. Not being able to get out and do thing like I did watch u tube give me something to keep my mind going. Thank you'll for doing what you do. Stay safe out there and God bless you.
I'm just watching CT3. What he does is alright with me. Sound quality is awesome.
Good video getting to see machines of that caliber up close. Enjoyed it. Also, I vote for more time in the shop. The shop time is always cool.
Absolutely love hanging out in the barn.
Reminds me of my barn
Great job Tim always enjoy your video no matter what you are doing have a great day thanks for sharing
Click on the video, see the skidder first thing and automatically hit the like button!!
Definately like watching shop stuff, good break from field work!!! You the Man!!
It's great to see and watch all of the other machines that you all have, and other companies!
Excellent video! Your explanation commentaries of the action going on in the vid are the best.
Skidders instead of forwarders, different fron what we do out west. Those skidders really haul!
Shop time is the best. It’s all good but anything going on in the shop is very cool and by the way got the camera to see the flags. Can’t beat it.
The video quality from that camera was excellent. The smell of fresh cut pines is one of the things I miss the most from the short time I drove a self loading truck for a local timber service.
He’s AWESOME!!! ON THAT CUTTER!!!💯👍🏻💯❤️
Thank you for the video's.
Very cool to hang out with you, Tim. Since I met you at Kuster Farms last year, I know for sure that you'd be a hoot to just shoot the breeze with anywhere, anytime. By the way, if you were up here in the north right now, the only place you'd want to be is indoors and near a source of heat. Even for someone who has lived in the upper Midwest all my life, this weather is something else. Later, Tater!
You got big money invested in your business. I grew up in VT and logging was a big business in the early 70’s. Old joke was a VT logger hit the lottery and was asked what he will do with the money. He said he would keep on logging until every dollar is spent.
Derrick for sure keeping Chad pretty much in business, i'll admit you have a nice outfit. I wish we had that type processer head on a machine.
HI CT I know the pine trees smell some kind of I can tell every time a tractor trailer of pine chips go gosh they smell good 😊 a fresh smell just flowers 💐 after a rain 😊 5 31 2O23
Little bitty pines, making tooth picks lol good work @!
Another fascinating video of logging equipment in use-love the sound of the TigerCat 635 lugging and dragging!!!Lots of work being done there. And the sound of the cutter-buncher chopping the trees down! The shop visits are good, too.Cummins makes a NICE motor!!!there is a Cummins motor plant not too far from Greenville,NC forget what town the plant is in.amazed at the efficiency of the hydraulics transferring energy from the engine to the work!!!
That Cummins sounds good. Awesome videos.
AND THAT SKITTER!! IS AWESOME!!!💯👍🏻💯❤️
Nice video Tim. Enjoyed watching all the kit getting a work out.
I’m gonna be honest these are some of the cleanest clear cuts Ive seen good work man
We leave a forest still there when we're done.
Definitely love the up close and personal shot of Chad and Derrick working... awesome footage!! Have to do that some more when conditions are safe!! I don`t mind the shop stuff and commentary... perhaps something with your crazy dogs as well... I`m a dog lover Tim and I`m sure most of your subscribers are to. Keep`em coming Tim you`re doing a great job!!
I just love to watch you i get out of bed and turn on my phone to see if. Your on thank you keep up the fine work
Nothing like seeing a 6.7 Cummins getting worked this hard knowing mine will never see this extreme duty in a pickup truck. Been running a 55,000 pounds excavator with a 6.7 Cummins and that thing just plan works.
Awesome video. Love watching those 2 machines
Cool video, I enjoy hanging out an checking out any of your videos ct3,keep them going
I enjoy shop time😀
The Lorax's worst nightmare
I'm totally amazed and awestruck by that 635's ability to move wood! Gotta see one of those beasts up and close and personal doing what they do best!
Love the sound of that 6.7 Cummins. Sounds like my 18 Ram!
Just won't fall apart like a ram!
I wanna see how you fit 57K people in the shop at the same time..LOL Just funnin Tim.
I like watching ya work on stuff so I give a Thumb's up for the shop vid's..Love the new mic's Tim, could hear you so much clearer
than before, Have a great day Tim..Take care out there..
Cynthia Herr gotta make room for new subscribers too, not just 57k!!!🤣😁
@@brentmedders Your'e right, I forgot about those..Yea Tim what Brenton said..LOL
I like the way Kevin just backs over the trees.
When I skidded 15 years ago, thats how we decked wood, just kept running the deck over till u get big pile all butted up, but the woods not as green anymore, and you end up with lots damage
If I were Derrick I would be asking you to come shovel for me while you are waiting on trucks. Lol
I was thinking the same thing but I am thankful for the time Tim takes to shot the videos.
Always enjoy hanging out with you Tim, i get a little behind sometimes now that your videos are a little longer, but thats ok. Thanks
Yes sir, let hang out in the shop.
I enjoy listening to you but I have to say I'm envious of your shop Keep up the good work and yes keep doing more in the shop I enjoy it.
It’s crazy to me that an engine that can power a huge machine like this is also fitted on 2500 rams 😂
Great video as always Tim the 830 and 635 are definitely bad to the bone and Derrick is one heck of an operator. Great vids in the shop as well 👍🏻
I wish those machines existed when I was a young man trying to log.
This is so cool.. I could watch this all day! I'd love to see this stuff in person! Omg that would be SO exciting!!! Great stuff Mr. Tim, thank you for taking the time to share this with us. 👍🏼
That skidder amazes me everytime I watch it drag. I also watch some other videos of smaller skidders dragging probably a third of the weight and all having a terrible time getting the drag moving.
Good fly casting.. must be a fisherman
Good video Tim have a good week stay safe
Wow. That skidder is a beast. Great channel 👍. Love the videos.
yes like all your video Rodney from new York
I remember the first 635C model my friends had was powered by an 8.3 Cummins. It was setup at 250 hp. 2002 or 2003
Thatd be Sah-weet!!!
As boys get older their toys get bigger! 👍
That's awesome! 6.7 Cummins!? 🤘
That skidder is working that Cummins ! I was surprised ! Thought that big girl would have the 8.3L
Shop time is great!
I try to watch everything you post my good man. Keep up the good work and keep the videos rolling
Man all the equipment you guys run is very impressive! I love this stuff!
Hanging out is fine with me!!!
Stand up a delimbing gate. Delimb half the drag at a time and put the brush in the soft spots
I like the shop videos. Man that Derrick knows that he can run that cutter. The conditions that y'all have been operating in would compete with what Goodson all terrain logging does except they work in swampy areas. That tracked cutter can do so much more than one on tires.
Great video. I enjoy your videos alot !
You comment about the smell of pine is what I pretty much thought you would experience. Christmas tree every day huh? lol
😏 Tim, We can ONLY IMAGINE the sweet smell of the WOODS..... The sound of that skidder🤑🤑😊 Like you said,,,,, AMAZING the hydraulic power in that feller, AND SO MANY operations going on at the same instance was ONLY a "WET DREAM" in an engineers MIND 20 years ago. Heck-- when we hooked up our first swivel snowplow, and could lift at same time we thought we had the world by the tail. When the "T-STICK" came along WOW.......🔥..... Better get a wood stove in that shed for HEAT.....💨💨💨...... [THE COLD IS COMING] LIKE THE "SHOP TALK" BE SAFE KEEP WARM !!!
I enjoy watching your videos and some of the new products Husqvarna comes out with I enjoy watching all your videos very interesting thanks for sharing them with us just remember we ain't getting any younger and videos are a hell of a lot easier on your muscles LOL
Thank you
Up yunderway,lol Interesting watch though!
That was an awesome shot at the beginning of the video where you could see thru the side screens on the skidder. Probably can’t do that on the new ones with the emissions controls.
It’s cool to watch Derrick and Chad working and putting those drags together. Definitely cool hanging out when you’re working in shop. Videos are awesome
If you had a chipper you could be chipping the tops while the other machine is bringing the wood to the processor the place would be cleaned up then ready for replanting once stumps are growned down so your not destroying tires driving over them
Really enjoy the videos. We use to do it with the old cable skidders in east Ga.
Really enjoyed your video. Great narration and shots. No homo.
sounds good Tim
Your guys and you are AWESOME!! Got a cold beer in that shop? lets hang out.
Great Video Tim . I like all your videos bud. As my Pop used to say : "If Mother Nature would have the Sun & Wind work together, They alone could dry the ground out faster than I could with a Dozer."
Very good sound and video ,
