Among the purest and cleanest horn sounds I've heard.
Her sound is so pretty. She sings on the horn!
That tape and cabletie tho 😄😃😀
Principal horn of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra
Nice.
Excelente!! Espectacular!! Tremendo!! Felicitaciones!!!
Katy is awesome!
They sound fantastic together
Beautiful playing, beautiful sound
GORGEOUS ❤️❤️❤️
Gorgeous. And with her horn held together with Selotape!
I don't see any selotape. Where is it supposed to be?
Beautiful tone. Brass horns always have a more mellow sound than nickel-silver (like the Conn 8D).
It's wrapped around the leadpipe where the stay attaches. Fast forward to 1.44 for a close up.
@@adrianmiller4285 Ah, I see it now. It seems that the brace has broken loose. It would be an easy fix but if it's botched, it could permanently damage the horn.
Maravilloso!
Very soft and warm sound!
Perfection!
Wonderful!
Lovely!!
Awesome!
So nice.
splendid
¡Bravísima!

Morning Song?
And that folks is what a horn is supposed to sound like not the bright tenor trombone tone we hear too much of today
Listen to the Vienna philharmonic if you want to know what a horn should sound like
@@playermartin286 Having been a professional horn player for the past 37 years I am v aware of the Vienna philharmonic horns.
@@dudeforcaster8630 that's good
I agree that she has a good sound. It looks to me like she is playing an Alexander 103 which, I think to many Americans, sounds brighter than the Conn 8D. But she seems to be playing it bit on the dark and mellow side which sounds great. Interestingly, I suspect the horn playing by far that most people have heard, in the U.S. anyway, is a Conn 8D. Studio musician Vincent DeRosa had a ridiculously long career and for decades played on a vast number of movie tracks, TV shows (like theme songs) and as a musician accompanying everyone from Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa. He played the Conn 8D mostly and on average, in my opinion, sounded a little darker than this. But of course, he could play any type of sound he was asked to play.
Nice soft sound
