Personally I’m a gamer by heart and at one point of time in my life I’ve played the same game for 10-12 hrs, sometimes even by skipping meals. So I agree with the first tip “find work that feels like play”. But that being said, I’m also a coder who not necessarily always enjoys the process of just writing code, I get excited about the outcome of the coding session. And for my 5-6 hrs boring coding sessions I always keep a couple RedBull cans ready to keep me going😉
In the last video you went after Abhinav's pronunciation of "here"...... this time Shashank's reluctance to do content on finance. Varun loves to go after his colleagues.🤣
Reality : Do your job 16 hours and nothing else until it feels like play. Because sometimes you don't have a choice when you want it and when you finally becomes capable of choosing you have lost the will to explore or chase after your dream.
It's not me who is saying this but..if you check with any Psychology expert you would be told that no human can be totally focused on any task for 16 hours straight. Even if it is a full-time job, no employee should actually work for more than 8 hours. It only tends to deteriorate you mentally. All the so-called "Hustle gurus" who preach to work from 16-20 hours a day to make those "easy millions" are only selling their dreams to others. They are glamorizing a lifestyle that is far more harmful in the long run.
Summary: 1. Make work look like play. Unlock the mystery. 2. Try different things. Abandon what you don't like. 3. Put skin in the game. Start your company. Treat it like your baby.

Hey Varun, whenever I watch any kind of motivation video or something like that I really get inspired and charged at that point of time the energy and motivation is with me hardly for 24 hours max and then I am back to my old routine. And this has been happening with me for last 7 to 8 years. I even tested many many things that would work for me but it never worked out for me. Really really confused man. Buddy I am a react developer by the way and the day I saw your status you are hiring react native developers on that day I thought I would learn react native and will apply but I never did that bro this is an example I am giving so many similar instances have been happening with me If I will sit and write those then it can be book I think. Bro I genuinely want to change my bad habits. I think I am really really bad with taking actions yeah.. that might be the problem I always plan so much and I never give that focus to the execution part. I think I need to plan less.. means know what you will do and focus more on execute do the action bro. Action speaks priorities. okay lets try this one also.
It's. not your fault bro. This motivation videos are fluff pieces that acts like bandages(not even a good one), which provide no applicable solution and therefore you're stuck at the same place where you started
Good advice but Skin in Game - Very tough in Indian service industry especially in IT. Due to less job opportunities in humungous population, there are few choices to change job often as per your wish or profit or equity, there are other factors like office politics or personal monetary commitments or luck or your own talent. I would say to be on focus, dedicate yourself to whatever you know best or enjoy or follow or develop passion with observation & practice - do not always think about money - it will drain you out. Merge everything like work or play or past time as per your mood & commitment - do not regret if missed - every day is new day. Yes, this advice is from my 20+ years of IT experience 😊
It was really good. But i disagree with your thoughts on work-life balance. Here's my take: You might like to work 16hrs a day,and go into isolation because you really enjoy it,but i believe its equally important to spend quality time with wife, parents and friends. I might work upon an idea and make it successful, but if in that process i make my family feel alone,or my friends feel detached i don't think i am really successful then. With money for sure, i could fix all my daily chores or materialistic household problems with few clicks, but I don't think any tech could be an alternative to spend time with my family. Our Thought process might differ because of the set of responsibilities or upbringing we have, but i just wanted to put my thought process here. Love, Ankit Das.
Believe me....this thing .... Do thing that feel like play to you. - naval But i never Fully understand...that what work can feel like Play. But now I know....When you go soo deep into it...then it starts feeling like a play. Thank you so much Varun 😍😍
1. Make it feel like play. Make it fun. Unlock the mystery of subject. 2. Abandon what u don’t like. Try lot of stuff. 3. Skin in the game. You’ll not be satisfied to do a thing for someone else, if u don’t have skin in the game. 4. Work life balance.
Heyy Varun, first of all you're awesome. But i've had this question in my mind all the time. I'm leading a team of 4 people and i've been doing this for 3 years now.But regardless of having a team i dont think i'm being able to capitalise on it. I know as a leader its my responsibility to make it work but i dont how to make the connect with the team and bring the best out of them.
There are some fundamental caveats here that I think are worth noting. And none of them are about work life balance The reality of this video is that Varun's managed to structure his life in a certain way that lets him work 16 hours a day - but really he's structured his life around the things that interest him so 16 can become 60 if a day had more than 24 hours. These tips are a logical rationalisation for what likely comes naturally to him As someone who recently went from being a student/part time worker to full time worker the caveat is this. If you're a student in school or college reading this - chances are these tips won't make a difference. There are circumstances where you can't implement the above tips - so don't blame yourself. However if you're young enough to see this the real lesson is the work it takes when you're in school/college to consciously structure your life around doing things that you actually enjoy - so work towards that. Maybe one day you can be in a situation where work is play and do it 16 hours a day no sweat
bro you just wrote a book about how it won't work.. instead try and find solution to it.. that's what exactly he is talking about.. don't find excuses, find reasons to do it..

it takes high energy and calmness but my question to you is why would you do so called 16 hours work if you can do it in 12 hours.
@@Curious_being the thing was not getting the work done it was to sit there for your whole day coz you love it
