Waddalife . I love America.
I understand it takes a lot of work to play and film and edit all of these videos, but i don't care what it takes, please don't stop this upload schedule. Make it happen playa. You are a legend.
I love Matts swing. Seems so effortless and like he already knows he's gonna hit fairway. Wish I had that mentality before swinging. Great golf.
So around the 4:10 mark you described the problem with golf in the US. Public and semi-public courses put tee times 8:00 minutes apart to get an extra 4-some booked every hour. Then people are expected to "speed play" while often times still having to wait to hit shots. It is at most places strictly a revenue game and not about the game.
Not a scratch golfer is one of very few RUclipsrs with average distance - great to see it!
I’ve enjoyed playing forward tees and tips on my same course - the beauty of the handicap system is that I actually struggle with my net score from the forward tees.
He’s definitely enjoyable to watch but I would argue that his distances are below average.
@@TheRomy31 maybe for his age and handicap - but most online sources put the average male golfer at 210-240 with a driver in hand
@@maxbie123 the average handicap in the USA is roughly 14. So being a 7 you would think he’d have a little extra distance. I know that most strokes are gained inside 150yards but still
which is why the average handicap has not changed for years
Great video and concept! I've recently been watching Adam's channel after seeing him on a couple of your recent vids. I enjoy his material but I'm still a playa for life! Both of these videos taught me a lot. Keep up the great work!
I played this course 3 years ago and still remember it like it was yesterday! Great round and great course.
I've been watching Adam's vids for a little over a year. His putting and course management skills are great. I need to take notes from both of these guys, and actually remember them when I'm playing!
"No-Double Adam" is a great way to describe Adam and his game. After playing with him I saw how he limits the blowups and doesn't let a bad situation get to him mentally. As you pointed out his putting is SUPER good even with the strategy of trying to roll the first putt in from any distance he has the confidence that the returner is going in. Fun to see you two play!
Adam's greatest strength is his lag putting. Even if he tries to make it, he will 2 putt, often from the fringe or apron.
I really like these difference videos… fan of both channels.
We have this debate in my playing group all the time. We're all older golfers with mid-teen or higher handicaps. One guy in the group always wants to play from the tips, we always outvote him and move up a couple tees. I tell you what, I'm lucky to get one or two birdies per round, and I've yet to tire of them. Until I can crush my driver long and straight consistently, I see no need to make the game any more difficult for myself. As it is, I can't hit the driver straight at all!
BTW, that was one beautiful coyote. They roam the courses here in Nevada, too.
Playa! Another saffa boyfriend here. Your editing is epic and this is my number 1 channel. My peanut gallery advice would be that your one liner commentary last half a second longer so us “thickos” can read it on time😂 loving it brother, hope to meet you at some stage👊🏼
Pace of play here in the US is horrendous. Tee times are 6-8mins apart where I am!!! Courses trying to make a quick buck.
Love seeing a fellow canadiania on the channel! Keeps the spirits up through the winter
I’m convinced! I’ve really got to work on my putting.
Glad you were able to play this one while you were here it's a lovely area and one of the few courses unspoiled by homes lining the fairways. Saguaro isn't bad, but the Cholla course is a superior layout and more difficult.
Adam is very efficient. He has a swing that's a little unusual compared to most, but it really works well for him.
I’m from Arizona so it’s nice to see you on a AZ course, especially wekopa
I live in AZ and it’s good to see you spending some good time here. Definitely a great state for golf this time of year.
Love it. Pronounced We-ko-paw and Sa-war-o. Good rounds I watch both your channels and love playing that course.
Gotta keep up! Glad you're enjoying the trip!
My 2 favorite golf youtubers together...let's go!!
Wekopa, so glad you played there! My absolute favorite AZ course
Dude it’s stunning
I really really love this video. And I love Adam's short iron and wedge swing it's very consistent.
Pace of play. Yeah, in America at least, it's easy to get the impression many just want to get the round over with. Why? No idea.
Then there's those that don't understand, or care, that there are people behind them, waiting (impatiently usually). Tempting to say it's getting worse, but it's not. Same thing 40+ years ago on most muni's.
And Bad Golf Takes Longer.
As for tees to use. Agree that the tees you play should be based on your ability NOT your age!
Most people I see care more about whether or not their score starts with a "7", so they move up - make it easier - to increase that chance. Does make the round go faster I suppose.
tip playa: for half yardages, take the bigger club then two fingers space from top of club grip, then take grip, swing normal and that should give you you 'in between distance' try it.. regards Phil
You may consider what I'm considering as a higher ball speed player. Put in a 5th wedge to handle the 125-135 gapping issue.
I can take out my 4iron for example, decrease the loft of my 3 hybrid. You may have a gapping issue at the top of the bag, but it will be an issue FAR less often than your current 125-135 issue.
Loving the elbow patches.
Yes, should be hitting 7-8 iron or less into 80-90% of the par 4s.
Pace of play in Arizona is obnoxious. Half the people ram up your butt when youre playing a fine pace then you run into the people take 30 mins each hole no consistency especially during the winter with snow birds here.
Love the collaboration, really enjoyed the video and big fan of both the channels.
We ko Pa and the Cholla course are incredible. Lucky guy
Another great video! As an average length hitter, I have always had to make up for it around the green. I accepted that early and worked hard on my short game. It has paid massive dividends!
You sir are in the enlightened few
@@GolfSidekick thanks!! Being 5' 7" with friends all over 6' makes it tough to keep up off the tee! But everyone wants me on the scramble teams!
That's my yardage, rating and slope that I look for as a Sr golfer with 15 handicap; I find that going below 6k yds changes the game too dramatically by allowing me to hit many more wedges and 9 irons into the green.
Love both of your channels!
I wish i was in town when you two fantastic boyfriends were here playing in my town. Keep it real in the feelz fellas.
Just played Wekopa Saguro, wow what a treat! I even got a cactus stuck in my ancle :)
Course looks nice and at that distance looks like there are some par 4 which at gettable!!
This is the cholla course right? Played there once… pretty nice, waddaplaya!
Great video. Adam has a great channel as well and is a great guy!
You are correct, Matt. Americans try to play too fast, usually at the expense of fun. That is the major drawback of playing a nice golf course here.
I’m not sure that is an American thing. My Euro and UK friends are constantly complaining about pace of play, as well as those in the US.
I’m guessing that this perception is a personality thing, more than a regional thing. Edit: removed the judgement; who needs that?
Played here a couple months ago i enjoyed it, glad you’re getting to experience more freedom! *Edit: come play in Vegas with me on your next stop!!
I can hit a driver 290 and I play the forward tees all the time. It's fun teeing off on a par 4 with a pitching wedge sometimes lol
Talking about pace of play my local golf course is so annoying with that they have 3 Marshalls and they keep warning you and they are rude , they really don't care about their customers but I guess that is what happens when you are the most popular public course in Canada and you have good prices
I live in AZ and want to play golf every day off. The price of golf here has become pure extortion. To play the courses that I’ve played here forever would cost $2500(house payment)a month in the winter now. This round Matt played was $275! The amount of pissed off I am is unmeasurable.
Our regular 4 some plays 18 in 2&1/2 to 3 hours.
I love desert golf halfway houses.
Surfing the internet to find that subzero-cool polo. Should have looked in the description XD
Random unsolicited advice, but it looks like when you're putting you line your feet at the hole and then twist your face to change where you want the ball to go instead of just lining up on your start line and putting it straight. Is that on purpose?
Great work guys!!!! GOB!!!
If that is the course outside of Phoenix it is a top 10 course in the USA.
Perfect tune for the coyote walking on the fairway 👍
What days are you playing pebble you might start getting the crowd they’re wanting to watch you and I still love the shoes
That super awesome music while puts go in, what is that? I cant find anywhere.
When's the 7 wood premiere playa? Been waiting to see you walking the green carpet with it
In Canadian
How long are rounds in SE Asia? In the US, other than LA, where pace of play is abysmal, we shoot fir 4 hour, maybe 4:20 rounds. In places in the UK, they go for 3 or 3:30, so 4 is pretty easy.
Fourball usually 4 to 4:25 but without people shooting up your backside. There’s always an understanding that you just leave one shot gap between you and the group in front. It’s very very very rare to look back and see people rushed taking 8’s on the holes just to keep right up behind you. Weird to watch
@@GolfSidekick that is definitely unusual here too. Odd.
US golfers are obsessed with pace of play
If the groups ahead get backed up, some of my friends get so upset that it affects their game
Personally I just don't get it
I get it a little -- had the good fortune to belong to a small (300 member) private club in the middle of nowhere for several years. Got used to relaxing 3.5 hr. walking rounds -- we'd often be one of 7 or 8 4somes on the entire course. After that luxury, being pushed or waiting to hit on the typical US public course can grind my gears.
Why have I just found this video?
Seek and you shall find
forgot to play the tube music at 8:57
Adam is a playaaaaa
Pebble Beach Music 😆
Shout out to the famous Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump when he's running, "Shit Happens" USA beautiful playas! What a playa!
I'm confused. The fella narrating the video and the fella playing.. are you the same person?
His butler is the narrator, a famous course designer the golden hare jack nicholson
Isn ‘t it Ernie Els who once said : « If you can’t reach a par 4 green with a 7iron, it’s not a par4 »?
Bunker tip 🙌👍
Come back to America Playa!! 🇺🇸
Hey man, can you share where you got that shirt? Also, if you’re even in the Seattle area and need advice on where to play, lemme know!
Waddaplayagolf.com
What shot tracer software do you use?!
I'm interested to know what your pace of play with and without filming. Do you notice a large difference?
Not much difference. Normally same pace. If i play with pros it’s much longer with filming and playing in general. Otherwise we keep pace. But the obsession with fast play while sacrificing enjoyment and ability to think is kinda strange
@@GolfSidekick I wouldn't of expected pros to take longer but it does make sense with how much info they take into consideration. My club course has a 4hr 40min cap on 18 holes, I've been keen to try out filming some shots but imagined it would blow out another 30 mins. Which for some playas is the difference between being in the good boy house or the dog house with their spouses, work, etc.
Not having a good shiza before the round is the worst. I like to be light as a birdie feather when I play
We-Ka-Po!! My favorite track! Which of the courses is that?
saguaro
@@GolfSidekick ah yes just heard you speak of the shiza
@@GolfSidekick if you get a chance while you’re in Arizona play Troon!
Hey Player....March Madness in Vegas!! Due to some unfortunate circumstances, we have an opening on our trip March 16-19th. Let me know if you have any interest and I will give you the details. It is a fun time to be in Vegas.
Wadddaplaya.
If you make it to the Central Coast I'll show you Monarch Dunes Golf Course in Nipomo. HMU playa
Seems like a very defensive attitude to have a on "short" course. It shouldn't be an opportunity to practice your wedge game - it should be an opportunity to have lots and lots of birdies.
This is not the way, playa.
never seen the course before
Wtf happened around the 8:00 mark?
where is pebble beach?
In california
@@GolfSidekick do you mean venezuela?
“Shiza Happens” on a tee shirt?
I'm officially now labeled a 'Handicap Karen' lol
Puttin is everythin
That's my goal this year. Stop making anything over bogey. I can't beat my friends with DB, TB, and QB. And my goal is to beat my friends for the first time in my life.
Handicap Karens 🤣😭🤣😭🤣
I need a link to those shoes. Scheisse they are sexy.
His swing is horrible but he plays fine
shise happens.. Scheiße is "shit" in German language..
