You go girl & enjoy. I have an ‘o8 3500 Dodge dually SLT trim with a 6.7 Cummins and a 6 speed automatic. I mostly use it pulling a 32 ft. Tri axle ; hauling my 2 antique tractors, to tractor pulls. They weigh almost 15000 pounds, plus trailer; and on the hi-way it will move them at 110 Kim’s steady. Yours will treat u well

The 4th gen’s are some of the best emissions equipped trucks. I had a 2018 3500 Mega cab since new, sold it in 2022. Got another 2018 2500 this past January with 40k miles. The new ones are hit or miss, 2022 isn’t a good model year to buy

I bought what I thought was a solid 3500 GM 6.0L 2 door truck. Well 15 months later and $17,000 in front end parts, a brand new transmission - torque converter failure which scared the pump housing flange, 16 wheel alignments - dealership and repair shops kept saying it was not a gear box - 15 alignments later the gear box gave the ghost, and regular maintenance…. I cut the drain and let the truck go and down sized for the time being. Now before the haters comment, I have to plow out my parents house in the winter, and the truck had a brand new plow on it but zero hours plowing. I live in Michigan, where the 4 seasons happen in one day and lately Michigan winters have been a joke. I loved the truck, there’s something about a 2 door long bed truck look that I’m already looking for another one. I was a huge GM fan but now that I bought my first Ford, I don’t think I’m going back. Nice looking truck. Like the channel and content keep up the hard work!
Love that truck and trim level. When I managed CDJR dealerships, we called Delmonico Red Pearl: "Old Man Red", lol. Surprisingly, as an old man, I think it's a great color. Welcome to the old souls club, haha. I highly recommend checking out the BanksPower Intake for the Cummins to eliminate the horrific #6 cylinder grenading grid bolt problem, since you mentioned the truck is closing in on 100K miles. The lowest mileage vehicle I have ever owned and would love to have it back was a 1984 Dodge Ram D350. Had the 360 and automatic transmission. Had less than 50,000 miles. The truck I have now has over 228,000 miles. Use to be a roofing truck.
If it hasn't already been updated you need to immediately get the grid heater for cold start upgraded. Banks make a great part to update it . The bolt that connects the power wire to the grid heater breaks. It sucks it into a cylinder, most of the time #6 destroying what ever it contacts.
My truck has already been new front pump input shaft seal and torque converter so it shifted right into reverse and if you don't have your foot on the brake pedal it will just start backing up, and the front suspension is completely rebuilt so it doesn't have wander steer or death wobble...drives way better than most of them including the one's that ive owned and it has 210k miles
A tune is a worthwhile investment to help the engine run optimal and not recirculate soot back into the manifold via the EGR....if you're driving a lot of highway you shouldn't have as many issues, but most modern diesels suffocate themselves with all the emission crap added. Enjoy the new to you ride!

Personally I have always been a Ford person my dream truck is a ford F250 kind ranch with a nice tan two tone with a blue for the main color. If I do end up getting my dream truck it will have a lift on it
