      Enjoy them for a few more years until they start to decline. You will only see the mosaic during the first flush and then it will be gone until next season.

    Very interesting. Thank you, Kimberley. I had no idea that this virus affected the health of the plant so detrimentally.

    Thank you for making us aware of the Rose Mosaic virus through this video. This information was very helpful. I think I have noticed this in few roses in my garden which I bought from David Austin last year. I will now keep an eye on them and see how they perform. ❤

    I got two such roses from two different vendors. I just plan to get rid of those roses when they decline so I can replace them with other roses or buy more (a shopaholic speaking 😅.)

    Hi Kim, My Tess of the D’Urbervilles has rose mosaic. I bought it end of August from my local nursery in 3 gallon David Austin pot. They got it from David Austin Roses. They are one of David Austin’s listed vendors in Connecticut. I emailed the Nursery just now the photos of the leaves with Rose mosaic. Will this rose contaminate the other roses in my garden?

    Should the place that sold it -- replace it?

    Will the Rose Mosaic Virus spread via soil (dropped leaves) or by secateurs?

    • @TheRoseGeek
      @TheRoseGeek  29 дней назад +1

      It can only be transmitted through grafting so no worries about your secateurs.

      @@TheRoseGeek Thank you for replying. :) Just started roses last year. I am in Yellow Spring, WV zone 6b. Very excited, I now have five. I am learning so much through your videos.

    I found crown gall on the only one rose plant in my small garden. I removed it and trew away .
    Is there any harm to my other plants in the garden? Mostly fruit plants
