Your mum saying all she has left to do is sort out the borer and then on your rose you saying your gonna deal with borers first I think a great lesson. That borer on your mums rose was indeed demon!

This reminds me of the George Anderson method of pruning taking it all down to the nub! ( he's a Scottish TV gardener from the show Beechgrove, the Scottish version of Gardeners World.)

I am so glad that helped. We have a terrible problem with cane borers in Maryland.
I always get nervous following the borer damage further down the cane too😆I am going to invest in some pruning sealer as well. Thanks for sharing and introducing your lovely Mom!

I cried when both of you had to cut the canes completely down due to bores! 😢. I actually had to cut a bush completely down until I ripped it out of the ground and threw it away!!! 😢. Broke my heart!!💔🥀. But I can’t wait for the follow-up video! 😊❤🌹

I agree. Poor thing had to say so many times how terrible her pruners were. Have you tried Okatsune? I really like those and may get her a pair of those to try.

I was so nervous with ever cut to get to the end of the borers damage 😮 happy Mother’s Day ladies💐 I had my first borer issue last year
I agree! Those cane borers are such a pain and it is scary to take the cane all of the way down. I will be doing a follow up video soon!

Great topic for Mother's Day! Just a quick correction - it's "forsythia" - there is no "n" in this word.
I ALWAYS add the "n". I am going to call my mom and ask her what that yellow plant is called and see if she puts the "n" in it. I bet you I got that from her. Well......I am going to at least blame her. LOL. Thank you.
