Those MIGs were part of the ceremony of greeting the first A380 landing in Bulgaria back in 2016. The first officer of that flight was Bulgarian flying A380 for Lufthansa.
Pls dont ruin the interwebs with facts.
Definitely and also noticed that they were not armed with any missiles… pretty sure if they were responding to a “no fly zone” breach they would’ve been armed with something
@@MorsDengse Yes the A380 was able to evade the MiGs by performing the cobra maneuver.
Thank you
Furthermore, а no-fly zone has never been established in Bulgaria. We have some restricted zones, temporary rezerved and separated zones but nothing more.
The A380 description is misleading. The jets were escorting the airplane for its first landing in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2016
Typical for this channel
Yup. Reported.
Haven't you got it yet? That's just the way he does it. Relax 😉 ... but thanks for the background-info!
This channel always puts misleading descriptions.
Well, if it's landing then the land is definitely a no fly zone.
Check any airport in the world to confirm...
Wrong title, didnt enter no fly zone, instead it was an escort for the first landing of an A380 in Sofia...
Yep. No way that's an intercept. The fighters aren't taking actions typical of an intercept.
They weren’t even armed
Most zombies glued to their screens believe anything they see on internet.
@@dr.jillalicecooper2587 W Internecie Fejk news można jeszcze łatwo zweryfikować komentarzami. Gorzej jest z TV, gdzie podaje się takie fałszywe informacje i są one przyjmowane za prawdę.

Thank you for clearing that up.
This Eurofighter going vertical at take off is amazing!
Looked like it was running out of speed.
It was @ ZigAirMeet AirShow Swiss 2023
Many modern jet-fighters have a thrust ratio greater than its mass. That means they can climb vertically with just their jet engines.* The Eurofighter isn't unique. The US has several models that can do this as well as the Russians.
* Once you start stacking on additional mass (fuel/weapons), accounting for air density, etc. the ability to do so will change.
It might be one of the most maneuverable aircraft ever but one of the European tiny jets certainly are

And rumors says that the owner of the Toyota started it and drove home after the show.
And they learned the valuable lesson of not parking in the pilots spot.
Scotty Kilmer is the current owner and he loves it.
You can't park there, mate.
Turns out they dropped the wrong car.
That's what Toyotas do.
That typhoon vertical take off was an absolute work of beauty!!
It was @ ZigAirMeet AirShow Swiss 2023
it legitimately hurt to watch that Yak-3 collide with the lift
Dude said, he's okay that's the main thing. I disagree. He f**ked up that beautiful airplane, that was the main thing!
I doubt he could see the cherry picker with the nose high. Whoever decided to put a cherry picker on an active runway was in fault. Glad the pilot is unhurt.
@@sweeptheleg.this happened in 2018. There was a stuff up by the organisers having it there. I can’t remember how the court case turned out, but it certainly wasn’t just pilot error (if at all).
Why was he not landing on the paved runway?
yeah he's ok, but seriously pissed off!
The B-2 is just such a marvel of engineering 👍!
It's a complete waste of money
100% agree. One of the coolest aircraft ever produced for sure.
I was thinking the pilots were special -- imagine dealing with cross-winds!
Wait until we see the B21 Raider!
Except for the mortal enemy of the aircraft type... condensation from humidity.
The MiGs were not armed with missiles; the extending boom manlift is not exactly an emergency vehicle; Iceland knows how to do an air show.
Yeah these videos get more and more click-baity. Should really do a bit more research.
Called a cherry-picker here in the states.
@@joediver7669ah, I see!
so, in the country that hates facts, everyone that provides some is unwelcomed. I'm not surprised!
@@HxTurtleI think what he meant was that in the usa, this type of vehicle is called "cherrypicker".
@@andibdg2291 ups! oh okay; then I might've embarrassed myself here 😅
thanks for clarification 👍
I love how the B-2 Spirit is over 20 years old, looks like it would never be able to fly and still seems so futuristic.
watching things get dropped from heights is universally entertaning.
David Letterman did it better.
It is said the Hilux was driven off as normal.
Including planes carrying Wagner Group leaders. Was half expecting that to be in this upload.
That is one way to retire a gas guzzler. Besides, most of the vehicles in Iceland these days are electric because gasoline is hugely expensive and electricity is very cheap due to geothermal energy.
If you´re a nine-year-old. So a chopper lifts up a van, then drops it, the van falls down and gets smashed onto the land .... AND? Childish, stupid, expensive and pointless!
I was beginning to think this channel was about to be re-branded 3 Minutes of Crosswind Landings. I'm SO happy to see the channel promoting other cool aspects of aviation beauty. Thanks for another great 3 min!
One thing that no one ever mentions is how they always put the thumbnail video first. Literally I've never been clickbaited by them and it just shows how high quality this channel is. Keep up the good work!
Some of the titles are misleading but I don't mind the hype. The comments section will always put the facts straight. Reading the comments by knowledgeable people is a big part of the enjoyment of this channel.
The mountain view from the cockpit must be beautiful!
Europe is so beautiful. I want to take one of those scenic railways through the mountains there.
@@RobertCraft-re5sf Sounds like Switzerland or south Germany from how you say it.
Cause not a lot of places have that "Scenic route". Even then, those scenic routes are most likely not exactly what you're looking for
@@evo3s75wow, you know exactly what someone on RUclips is looking for?
Is the cherry picker that the Yak collides with considered an emergency vehicle?
Depends how badly you need cherrys. :)
Once the impact occurs, emergency ensues so...
If your plane gets stuck in the air, yeah!
In NZ it apparently is :-)
Nope, and whoever parked it there was apparently clueless about runway protocol, unlike whoever parked the ambulance...
That Typhoon take-off ... ;)
This always my favorite 3 minutes of the week.
Awesome compilation! Thanks.
The Yak driver just demolished his airplane and a fire truck. “Let’s give him a hand!” Classic
There is nothing cooler on this planet than military aviation
yeah pretty freakin cool
Those Typhoon Eurofighters are incredible. I've seen them at many airshows, including Leuchars when it was running. One after another went more vertical on takeoff and they have amazing manoeuvrability.
For being in a no fly zone the fighters must have not been very worried, did not appear any of them were carrying missiles.
Because you didn't notice their stealth weaponry. The pilots were armed with army knives.
The a380 load with a nuclear bomb
They had used them and missed due to the A380 countermeasures.
They were escorting the arrival of the first A380 in Bulgaria.
@@cinegraphicsit’s not a no fly zone smartass it’s an escort for first landing of an a380 in Sofia
The YAK didn't hit an emergency vehicle, it hit a badly located human lift device (like a scissor lift). A court case followed.
That pilot must have been in shock, that surely was negligence and not on the pilot’s part.
@@Earthneedsado-over177why not on the pilot's part, just like in a car,the driver takes, responsibility for his crap driving, how long had that lift been park near the runway, since the show started I expect, and why not use the tarmac,All the pilot's fault,
@@morrisanderson818 nope
@@Earthneedsado-over177The Court Justice deemed the Airshow Management and RNZAF consultant to be at fault and were ordered to pay the Mig-3 ownership company $600,000NZD in repair costs.
As always, awesome footage here!
Those Migs didn't even have Fox2, the tail gunner of the a380 could have easily taken them down
Yay! We’re back with another episode!
All good stuff, thanks.
the 'emergency vehicle' actually created an emergency and lived up to its name
Great video!😸
The B-2 is majestic.
That'a familiar sight. Flying British Airways to the Middle East in the 80s. Flying over Bulgaria, we were escorted by som fully-armed MIG 23s. I watched them, just off the wing tip. They were so close.
Epic video of B2 Bomber landing in sunset
That EF is a beast!!!
The Typhoon takeoff was conventional. The climbout was near-vertical.
It depends what you mean by conventional - the pilot kept it low for quite a long time in order to build up speed for his zoom climb.
@@hb1338 Conventional means not vertical.
@@bertg.6056AFAIK the typhoon isn't VTOL capable.
@@dougaltolan3017 Exactly my point, thanks for making it.
@@dougaltolan3017 Exactly my point, thanks for making it.
It's a Toyota, they probably drove it off the field :)
Love it always 😊😊😊
I once saw some old bomber and stealth stuff. I’m not an aviation guy but I saw a b-2 stealth with an entourage of 20-30 jets and a bomber. I live near Lakehurst McGuire base and they fly over my house very regularly
The A380 Pilot is getting a number to call 😂
"Why land on this perfectly vacant sealed runway, free of obstacles.... when I can land HERE on this shoddy grass strip with a scissor lift parked on it?"
That "shoddy grass strip" is a designated runway.
It's very common for small planes to land on grass because it puts far less wear on their landing gear. Once landed, the pilot is facing up and has his wings and nose blocking his view, so would not have seen the obstacle.
There was a court case and apparently the pilot won and the airshow had to repair the plane because they had informed the pilots prior to the show that the grass runway was clear for use.
That must have been lovely.
2:00 I was right next to the guy who filmed this, it was truly insane!
Lucky!
Wrong title again, this even wasn't 3 minutes
That Eurofughter Pilot is glad having his G-Force Pants 😂. Wow❤
1:53 it was in switzerland
Maverick would have been proud of that vertical climb
General: we need airplanes that can carry missiles!
Eurofighter: we can transform an airplane into a missile!
I was at the airshow when that Yak 3 crashed. For some reason, they had left a Fruit picker on the grass runway & obviously the pilots cannot see it once touched down (like the in the video) leading to that crash. It was such a shame and within a few hours that fruit picker was gone as well as the debris of the Yak that looked amazing in person. Still no reason why it was left there in the first place since the entirety of it was a grassy runway :p
What's forward and beneath the nose or under the wings is anyone's guess for WWII warbirds.
It's important that you see who's at your six :)
What "no fly zone ?"
"Ope, we dropped ya. Guess we gotta rescue ya twice" 😆
Taking 3 pictures looking all the same. That's some real tourist skills right their 😂😂😂
They should've rigged that dropped car to explode when it hits the ground; that would've made that display way more interesting.
That helicopter said, "Toyota, lets go places!"
"Collides with an emergency vehicle"
That is what is called a cherry picker, also known as an elevated work platform. They got moved onto the grass runway without checking what air displays were to be held for rest of the show, assuming they would land on the tarmac. Pilots had been advised during briefing the grass could be used as a runway. The pilot won court case against the airshow for the repair of the aircraft, over $600k
At 2:05 that is an absolute privilege to see!! 😮
That last one reminded me of The Blues Brothers. But that was Chicago.
It's called Typhoon. Eurofighter was its design and construction designation.
Vertical take off translated is the take off is horizontal and the climb out is 'near' vertical.
False title is not cool dude.
I live for Saturday mornings. Just to get my fix of 3 minutes of aviation.
That must be a very sad life lmao
Intercepts always happen on the left unless there is a very good reason for them not to be, like an engine fire or something.
Boy, parking enforcement in Iceland is *serious*!!!
Once again it is a maximum performance takeoff. Vertical takeoffs are the province of VTOL aircraft. V-22, F-35B, etc...
Cool
2:30 Arthur Tussik would be like: "Today we fix Toyota with some minor damage."
NOT a vertical take-off. It is an entry-level aerobatic maneuver called a chandelle...probably the easiest stunt known to pilots.
2:36 legend has it the toyota drove off from there
Must of watched that fighter jet clip 10 times. That crackle of jet fuel is very impressive.
Is that what it's called..."crackle of jet fuel"...I love that sound as well!
2:08 reminds me of Top Gun Maverick.
☠BLACK BARON☠ 2:05 That's it, training that makes fun. The fun factor is important.
I'm 100% positive the Toyota will still start and run.
What bogon parked that lift near an active runway!!?
The round of applause for ripping your wing off🤔🤔🤣🤣
1:20 how did i not know that happened i live a few hours away from Wanaka

MiG 29's?! No one's been this close before!
So Aerosucre has A380s too ?
Dear brother, tell me with which software you make this video, I will also try
0:47 that flew over my house about 5 minutes before this happened
And that Toyota is still drivable 😂
Guy got out of the Yak like i do this all the time
Last time I knew, a boom lift is not an emergency vehicle. I don't like to be lied to. That was misleading.
2:20 "Will the ownere of a . . . ., oh never mind"!
No Toyotas were harmed in the making of this video.
Sven, I have Idea for airshow. Let's take helicopter to pick up a car, and then drop it 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
In the 1980's' at the RAAF Pearce airbase north of Perth, they also dropped a car from a helicopter onto the infield grass as part of a public airshow. Some minutes before the drop, the helicopter and car drifted east with the westerly wind, and for about 90 seconds, was directly over the heads of the crowd closest to the infield fence, with the pilot trying in vain to move west. "Don't release now" I thought. Right over our heads.
Why does the video of the dropped toyota ended there? I was waiting for the part where it drove away... 😂
Luckily, no one was injured
