22:00 TJ's b-f mk ender works exactly the same; the fourth hit doesn't allow a juggle. Also his b-f qk launches no matter what, but sometimes with only one hit, my powerline will miss, so I always wait until at least the second ender before I do that one.
Also I think Sabrewulf's b-f fp ender won't allow a juggle with four hits. And with Glacius I don't think a juggle will land with a one hit fierce puddle ender.
Yeah, that's right. It's hit Knee Launch, but by Level 4 he does that downward punch. Yep. I figured there were more but hadn't really thought about it. Thanks.
Thanks man! Hope these videos are helpful! The arcade stick is actually a custom build. Using a Brooks Universal PCB so it works on PS, XBOX, PC etc. Built from shelving board. Was intended to just be the prototype but it worked out pretty well. I later painted it black in the KI1 videos. I made blueprints for the design if anyone wants it but the layout is matched to the KI arcade. I'd intended to make a graphic for it, just never finished it.
Great tutorial! I can easily pull off the super linkers but since this pressure double knocks em down, what button do you follow up with to add another super linker for the long ultra combo? Auto-double? I cant get ‘em to work. My timing off? My highest ultra is 42 hits, with adding 4 hits at end. Can only get one super linker in it. Thanks.
After the Linker, you can do MP or MK as an Auto, then do another Super Linker, you could also do a Manual. It can be tough to get all 4, but you'll definitely be able to get at least 2. Let me know if you still have trouble, I'll see if i can help when ever I'm back home and can test it out.
All I can really say is to make sure the directional inputs are clean but still done quickly. 1. Smooth clean rotation where you don't miss any of the directions. 2. Do move before the AUTO is finished. 3. Have at least 3 Bars of Meter 4. Make sure you aren't pressing the Button before the last direction. You don't HAVE to press them at the exact same time. So you can do half-circle-back, forward, then FK instead of forward+FK. But this full input has to be done before the last hit finishes.
Is it true that Tusk is a nod to Korr from the 16-bit fighting game Weaponlord? I believe it since Ken Lobb knew Weaponlord creator James (DJames) Goddard at the time KI2 was being developed. Also, Tusk has negative edge moves which Weaponlord features prominently.
I really don't know. I had assumed he was based on Conan but it's possible. I have Weaponlord on SNES. Didn't really play it much but it was interesting. I was never any good at it. I need to revisit it though. And MACE The Dark Age, anyways liked that one.
@@GlaciusXL Weaponlord was way ahead of its time and maybe too hardcore for the average gamer when it was released. Watch this WL walkthrough video featuring the game's creator James Goddard explaining how deep the game is. ruclips.net/video/Sq7hnTnpLjI/видео.html
Wow, that was a great video! Thanks for sharing! Yeah, I knew the game supposedly had a lot going on with it but I never really figured much out with it at the time. I have the SNES version and there's a pretty heavy delay in the inputs so I only messed with it a bit. But now I'm going to have to revisit it. While watching the video and seeing the detailed mechanics, I was thinking "So, they had a parry/Guard Impact before SoulEdge". Thrust Guard is what they're calling it here. Looks like it released the same year as SoulEdge but a couple months before, and SoulEdge didn't launch with a parry, it was added in Rev 2. But then I remembered, this was also NAMCO! SoulEdge also had weapon breaks, but you completely lose your weapon and fight hand-to-hand. But again, Weaponlord had weapon breaks just before it. Never knew that. This might be a cooler take on it because you still have your same moveset, but your range and damage is reduced. It's something I always wanted to return in SoulCalibur. They even have what SoulCalibur calls GI attacks, moves that have a window where it parries prior to the attack. Really cool. I knew about the "Fatalities" and had accidentally done it a couple times. I always liked the fact that it was just a MOVE you did under the right conditions that flowed with the fight. Whenever MKX reinvented "BRUTALITIES", I definitely thought about this game. But I didn't know to what extent you could carry on. It's crazy. It's like MK Armaggeddon's Kreate-A-Fatality but a decade sooner.
@@GlaciusXL Glad you took the time to watch the video! I still play Weaponlord from time to time via the Snes9x emulator on PC and the game looks fantastic using the 6xBRZ plugin.
Ya Tusk was one of my favorite Characters. I'm not sure I quite get what you mean by the enders making your ultra combo bigger. It seems like any Characters ultra is short, I remember them being much long, they seem like mini ultras to me. Honestly I am gonna go play KIG because I can't take this Arcade sh!t anymore, it's just frustrating when I am trying to learn the moves and the AI keeps block everything even on the easiest settings. 😅
Hopefully this explains it more clearly ( I mentioned it in earlier videos so I probably glanced over it in this one.) :The automated portion of the ULTRA that triggers when you do df,d,db MP is only 14 hits by default. If you do 2 different enders at some point earlier in the fight, then it's 18 hits. If you did 3 different Enders, then it's 22 etc. Each Ender you do (after the first) adds 4 more hits. If you managed to do all 5 enders before getting to the Ultra, then that automated portion will be 30hits by itself.
@GlaciusXL Ok, so if I do a Boot Kick with Tusk and then MP, then do the Ultra it will be 17 hits, possibly 18 or 19 depending on if I do a 4 or 5 hit combo before I do the Ultra. So then if perform all 5 Enders then do the Boot Kick + MP to Ultra it would be like 33 hits?? You also said something about manually putting in a move at the end of the auto portion of the Ultra to add 4 additional hits(So 37 Hits). The highest Ultra Combo with Tusk that I have seen is 75 Hits, but how the person did it is beyond me. ruclips.net/video/9dNNDU4JDz8/видео.html
@@Chris_Blue That's correct. Doing the exact same Opener>Auto>Ultra combo with 0 Enders and with 5 enders will result in very different hit counts just as you described. The thing you do at the end is the SUPER (the one listed at the bottom of the ULTRA description in the video). You can attempt to do the move anytime in the Ultra. I tend to try it over and over in hopes that at least ONE of those attempts will be accepted as a perfect enough input to work. As for the 70+ Ultras, they're essentially based on A) Having all 5 Enders Complete B) Having FULL meter C) Doing a parry (Press back and QP and continue to hold QP), when opponent does a Medium or Heavy attack you will parry. I found if you hold forward after qcb fp , tusk will do a second sword swing
I would get that on accident now and then but didn't know the input, thanks!
@GlaciusXL we would love to chat with you some time, can I post our discord link?
Is it just forward? I've been tapping forward and fierce punch all this time.
