@Kurgutt But of course!!! 😄 I can't imagine what experience it must have been going through the checklists/procedures like that (learning the module systems and everything!). Did you let the KSP simulation actually run through the whole thing or did you jump from segment to segment? I assume the distances in-game are scaled down from reality 😂. I honestly never heard the cockpit recordings like this but hearing them for the first time while "sitting" in the capsule was something else entirely hahaha. I most definitely learned a lot - that Mike was a funny guy, especially, hahaha 😜. Cheers indeed! Do you have a background in aerospace or do you just have a passion for it?
@@IsraeliDino Yeah going through the audio archives was really great, and there's a ton of things I wanted to included, but I had to make choices due to video time constraint... ^^ KSP with those mods is in real scale yeah, but there is time warp : ) Yeah Mike is so chatty haha : P No background, at some point I almost went in astrophysics studies but changed path. Nice little film good job! 😊I had this game in my Steam library since release also seems I bought the all the expansions over the years during sales. Never thought this game was realistic like this. Got to give this a try one day. Haha. Also got about 500 games on steam and only played like 5% in 12yrs. As seems the older ya get the less time you have for games. Also a 20yr state trooper and the wife and 3 teen daughters aren't into games either. Yet just cannot seem to stop buying games on sale, hell now that I think about it got Origin, GOG, UBi, Blizzard and Epic etc. So even more unplayed games. Last game I remember finishing was Tom Clancy Blacklist, BF Hardline and BF2. I only play single player as well and just no time for MP. Last MP game was like Call of duty advanced something. Pardon the rant but you younger peeps enjoy playing while ya can as life only gets harder and longer. 😉
It's incredible achievement for that time, the AGC and DSKY were truly a marvel of engineering, the heart of the spacecraft ! It's funny, since yesterday, I just watched a conference given by David Scott (astronaut on Apollo/gemini), since he was very involved in the development process, as the user, and gives the astronaut's perspective on this amazing hardware / software. A great talk ! there it is : ruclips.net/video/NVHPunas4E4/видео.html Cheers
I think for all the detractors who say it was fake. There is a beauty in this that no fake could ever have achieved. In terms of the electronics used to the machinery. To the astronauts. To ground control and how people the world over felt. It all has it's own internal integrity. It was a moment that marked time in our history.

I my self discovered a lot by doing this video, about apollo and its crew, I'm really happy to make people live this experience, and maybe discover some new things about it : )
Cheers
@Kurgutt But of course!!! 😄
I can't imagine what experience it must have been going through the checklists/procedures like that (learning the module systems and everything!).
KSP with those mods is in real scale yeah, but there is time warp : )
Yeah Mike is so chatty haha : P
No background, at some point I almost went in astrophysics studies but changed path. Also had a private pilot license for planes tho, so yeah, just a passion : )
@Kurgutt Amazing!!! I'd say that even with the time constraint, you chose just the right moments to show...phenomenal. And oh of course there are mods for that hahahaha, I should've known 😂
But oh wow gotcha, awesome - to be able to delve into one"s passions like that (heck - to know what they are and to put aside time for them!) is a very special thing!!! I also almost went to study physics/astrophysics but decided upon aerospace engineering instead...halfway through the degree now! 😝
Good on you for getting your license also - that is a dream of mine which one day soon I will also attain, gosh I love flying 😉
Keep on creating these lovely works of art, we'll all be here to like and subscribe hahaha
Great video man, very cool.
Glad you liked it, cheers : )
it's mindblowing that you filmed all of this in KSP 1
KSP 1 is amazing, and modders deserve all the love : )
@@Kurgutt the only sad part is that some of the mods don't work anymore. glad you where able to do this while they where all compatible with each other, though!
@@moxxierathe I used the latest version of KSP for this video : ) a lot of mods work actually ! : )
@@Kurgutt i currently have a few of them, but I'll make sure to check out some of the other ones.
That was just amazing! Fantastic job!
Many thanks! < 3
Bro needs more than just 500 subs especially when he’s making stuff like this
❤🙏 : )
Did not expect Jebediah Kerman to be there
Loved it! Great job ❤
Thanks a lot < 3
My favorite Apollo 11 Crew lore is that Buzz Aldrin was confronted by a moon landing denier at a scientific convention and he got so mad that he decked them in the face
Amazing job doing this! If you could port this to VR, it could be one of the best experiences out there
Thank you! : )
Yep VR exists for KSP IVA-ing, and it's amazing.
This was captivating! Well done.
Many thanks ! ❤
Incredible recreation. The radio chatter really adds a little je ne sais quoi. Nice work.
Thanks a lot ! : D A je-ne-sais-quoi of immersion for sure : P
Work of Art.
Thank you for this!
Many thanks ! ❤
This is incredible 👏
these IVA's are awesome
Yes, the modder made an incredible work < 3
Amazing! That prank they played on Houston with those monkey sounds wth that was hilarious! Never heard before xD
hehe, yeah me neither before making this video ^^
IIRC those are train sounds played on a tape recorder...
Cheers : )
Mike is a real one for that 12:39 lmao
haha yeah ^^
Fantastic! Just fantastic! Well done sir!
Many thanks ! Happy you enjoyed it!
Cheers
Great video! You really forget youre watching KSP and feel like youre there with them lol
Thank you ! Oh then if you had that feeling, I cannot be happier than that : D
thanks again❤
I'm not able to express how much I adore this video. Maybe my humor helps: I like POV adult movies. But this I like much much much more! THX A LOT! Hurwitz' music while descent like in the movie, awesome!
Thank you thank yoouu so much ! < 3
You know space exploration is anyway only about HOT......
........... Rocket exhausts ; )
Cheers
@@Kurgutt Hotter than anything.
This is honestly the best ksp vid ive seen in a very long time (maybe even ever)! The amount of effort you put in must have been a lot! Thank you so much for this video, it is very inspiring.
EDIT: you just earned a subscriber!
Hey, thank you so much for your kind words ! Appreciate it < 3
Yeah I've to admit I did fall into some deep rabbit hole with this one ^^
But It was exciting ! Flying the mission in the first place, digging through the Nasa audio archives to find the golden nuggets, clean the audio, etc. Also learned a ton about Apollo mission and spacecrafts as well as the crew :)
Cheers !
This is fantastic. The attitude indicator seems to be going crazy though.
thanks! Yeah one of the flaws of the game ^^
Wow! this looks as real as the actual footage
I really enjoyed this. Loved the blend of docu plus game.
thank you ! < 3
Nice addition of moon liftoff and rejoin with the CSM as you don't normally see that portion included.
I would've felt a little bad letting them stranded on the Moon haha
Thank you ! : )
Wow awe inspiring how cool this is and how much effort is must’ve taken
Thanks man ! Yeah took some time indeed ^^
4:19
Someone needs to make a top 10 video of Buzz's quotes, and put this at number 1.
Agreeds ! And know what's funny, I found it by accident in an archive audio, since it's not in the official Nasa transcripts. Those naughty admin guys excluded it !
(Also Mike is very chatty too^^)
im not even kidding at the end, while i was loading up KSP, as soon as the music ended my game loaded and the main menu music started playing
haha, that's a sign !
@@Kurgutt lmao yerp
Just wonderful! I wish I could give it more than just one "like"!
Oh thank you < 3 You can also share to other people ! ; )
This was done when the world's first LCD screen was just manufactured. Can anyone imagine that?
It's incredible achievement for that time, the AGC and DSKY were truly a marvel of engineering, the heart of the spacecraft !
It's funny, since yesterday, I just watched a conference given by David Scott (astronaut on Apollo/gemini), since he was very involved in the development process, as the user, and gives the astronaut's perspective on this amazing hardware / software. A great talk !
there it is : ruclips.net/video/NVHPunas4E4/видео.html
Cheers
It still feels unreal even after 55 years
I think for all the detractors who say it was fake. There is a beauty in this that no fake could ever have achieved. In terms of the electronics used to the machinery. To the astronauts. To ground control and how people the world over felt. It all has it's own internal integrity. It was a moment that marked time in our history.
A fantastic effort! Well done!
many thanks ! < 3
Just so very well done! Love it!!!
Thank you so much ! < 3
Yo. Buddy. Awesome, welldone, you did it very good, what a great represntation of how they conduct the mission comrade 🤙
"Eagle-1 has landed"
Well then, keep carry on for those who wanna be an Astronaut/Cosmonaut/Taikonaut/Antariksawan/Angkasawan someday.
Stay healthy for all of us & Safety First! Peace across the Globe✌😉
Yoo, thanks a lot that touches me ❤
Then maybe we should invent a world for that: Worldonaut, Earthonaut, or Peacenaut ? 😄 :)
Best to you as well ! cheers ; )
@@Kurgutt Whehe... Worldonaut, i wanna eat donaut now.
Well, carry on mate, cheers ✌😉
Beautiful work.
Many regards.
Many thanks, and best to you as well ! ❤
Nice video. Everything but the alien craft that were observing them.
