I just don't need the portability that laptops offer, so I stick with desktops for gaming and other heavy computing, and use my phone as a mobile web browser. It's also less of a hassle to upgrade desktops, since they have so much more space on the inside than laptops do

When i bought my laptop for office work from a store the guy was like you ,he helped me to choose the right decision,I have gone there for a desk top cause i am annoyed with my previous laptop ,but he asked me the reason for buying a desktop ,I said i need a desktop with in 4 lacks a i7 a gtx 1080 and an sshd , he asked me the reason for such a powerfull pc ,and he told me to buy a laptop ,he said that if you want only do your work at home then Go with a desktop ,and if NEED portability ,not just taking your laptop upstairs to downstairs and taking it to vications ,to buy a laptop when i truly need portability .I needed to take my laptop ,first i thought i would do my work at desktop and then copy it to laptop,but then i thought it is a indeed very time consuming thing,so I finally bought a ASUS ZEPHYRUS (2018 ) it is slim as a mac book and have gtx 1070 (i am not a heavy gamer so i thought it will do)and 6 core processor ,SSHD ,SSD and 144hz display .

In Desktop gaming can be stopped by powercut or if u r travelling I am a gamer but I've to travel see Desktop is meant for gamers who have space and things convineint for desktop otherwise laptop is better option if any problems are there with u difference between a budget gaming laptop and a desktop can be maximum 15k or sometimes 20k and if laptop is important for u it can be compromised by portability

Laptop is portable machine but desktop is upgradeable machine when it gets outdated or old we can upgrade it but laptop cannot and also we do what ever we want in the parts of desktop computers.
