SO I just want to say that I felt the same way as Pat felt until I realized that these kids in interviews are already looking older. So in real life kids grow fast so they had to fit a lot in this season because they have to make the show grow with them and they only have 8 episodes to do it whereas a cartoon can keep them young for years they cant do that in real life. So they are gonna get through the young aang stuff and get to even more teenage stuff in the future, its just how they have to do it with the time they have.
Yeah, the actors aging will honestly make the future seasons more interesting. The romance between Aang and Katara will feel more natural, and the fight between Aang and Ozai will look far better in live action.
We saw toph in the swamp. The fog was not mentioned until legend of korra. We didn’t see gyatso in the spirit world. The foxes didn’t talk in the library episode. I don’t think hakota ever doubted Sokka like this but I think it will let his engineer skills shine. Kya is shown being killed where as it was only mentioned in the show. Ozai giving zuko more credit here. This is different he is pitting his kids against each other.
Yup. It's quite surprising how they were able to maneuver a couple of key points in an inventive way to make it all combine together while still maintaining the essentials of the characters developments. The way they still were able to have Aang go thru the Blue warrior arc without making Sokka and Katara sick BUT still had them out cold and had momo and Appa take care of them was nice. Not sure I like having the fog of lost souls so early but by combining Koh and that spider thing from the Korra show made it work quite well. They essentially made it so we didn't have to deal with Miyuki and that alchemist lady, which isn't a big lost if you ask me lol. Also June was GREAT ... lol made me laugh how the animated Iroh would of LUVED this version of June that was into him 😂that was hilarious
@JrE-il7cf the movie didn’t keep anything the same. a adaptation is a change to plot points and story arcs. the movie changed our main characters entire personalities and the action and cgi was horrible unlike this adaptation that keeps the characters personalities and has incredible fights and amazing cgi
@@dallas_8 Aangs character is severely lacking that childish charm he had. Azula's character seems too preoccupied with her father's approval. Zuko is more dry in the cartoon. The show has good bits but it has short comings as well. Ignoring these doesn't serve any benefit. The heart in the original seems to be lacking so far.
hear me out, the spirit world is just yokai shadow side on steroids, basically? it was a dam joke, dont take this seriously i love avatar as much as you do.
Wan shi tong did. It show up until the episode the library. By that time toph had joined the gang. Also aang never brought anyone in the spirit realm with him so that different too.
It would be interesting if you compare ATLA LA to OP LA as an ADAPTION when you finish this. Because for me ATLA may work as completely separate thing but as an adaption of the OG materials it is just not good.
When koi was in the show he was the face stealer and you could not show emotion. We also didn’t get the mother of faces until the comics so that’s different.
This series is like The Joker, a fine piece in it's own but a bastardization of the source. The cgi, set design, wardrobe, choreography all solid. Acting was fine.
Everything was amazing BUT the writing, which sucks because writing is the core of any show. Thats why the original creators of Avatar backed off of it.
Oh hell NAH, that Spirit was fucking solid. They did a good job with it

The runtime is the same as the animated one!
Aang's actor is already so much taller and his voice is changing.
@dalnim4294 yeah, but it doesn't change the fact that he will still capture Aang's personality. He already is))

It’s crazy, y’all are the apparently the only reactors that actually remember the original series while watching this…

In the show Sokka and Katara could communicate with wan shi tong the great owl spirit he who knows ten thousand things.
maybe coz the library wasn't in the spirit world so katara and sokka could talk to wan shi tong normally.
