No “Vans Half-Cab Video” is complete without Stevie footy, right?! - I love this video. Bobby Puleo approach to skateboarding; simple skate maneuvers done at hard-to-skate, unique spots VS hard-ass-flip-in-flip-out tricks done on simple obstacles like a ledge.
The whole feel of this vid takes me back to early summer mornings in the late 90s, sitting on my friend's couch watching a vid like this before hitting the streets all day long.
The vans team is always killing it. But it would be nice to see some of their female skaters on a video. These dudes are dope, but the woman and trans skaters are under represented.
Love it to death and all, but can we pleeeeasseee stop this played-out VX/tape trend? I didn't spend the 90's watching blurry skate videos just to do that shit again in my late 30's, just because some 19 year-olds feel nostalgic for something they didn't have to suffer through.
The skateboard industry is really messed up when you think about it, or like, the idea of being a "pro". A pro is just someone who is sponsored. What is the traditional point of "sponsorships"? To get mindless morons to just buy something because someone famous they like claims to like it. That's literally it, its preying off the unintelligent and young and stupid minded. There does exist a logical and morally justifiable reason for "sponsorships" to exist in some capacity, like people or things that ACTUALLY put a product to test because of how gnarly or whatever they are, but like, whatever legitamite capacity that might still exist in skateboarding is just lost in the endless sea of pros and their videos that they keep releasing.
And the only other reason is to incentivize the masses of young kids that they could possibly become "pro" too one day if they skate enough, skating that happens to require the massive amounts of buying of the companies products in the mean time, despite knowing 99.9% of them will never remotely make it. It's just like the lottery, preying off people's ignorant narcissistic notion that they are going to win and beat the odds no matter how much they are stacked against them.
Good job Rich
Whoever filmed the graf that’s mixed in really knows their shit. Bunch of legends
everyone that skate in nyc is usually pretty in tune with the graff world as well
Happy somebody else pointed that part out
anyone remember the rolling stone interview with Set from like 93 or 94? I think JA was in it as well. I started writing in 92, started skating in 93.
@@DaytonJoey nah, JA actually rollerblades.. not skates as in skateboarding.. disappointing, i know.. 😅
Trick and spot selection is dope

Wow. Super dope filming, editing & music selection. This was some of the best skateboarding I’ve seen in awhile. Crazy to see Cycle is still up @02:03
Everything about this edit was amazing. Filming, skaters, tricks, music, spots.. you name it
giving Bobby Puleo a run for his money in the "sketchy nyc bank guy" competition

Sick skating, love the set bomb, necro got fire beats. Quasi is rad!!!
gnarly grimy spot skating is so much more fun to watch than tech on clean ledges and rails 🤘
One of my favorite videos of '22 👏👏👍👍
Everything was swagged tf out
Love the music! I heard the sample right away from Kurious'-"Leave ya with this".
That second beat is real nice, pairs perfectly with this kind of skateboarding. Remind me of some late 90s East Coast shat
I'm pretty sure it's a Necro track but not sure which one yet

Cry about it
Yeah this video looks like VX with some filter on top, should come with a motion sickness warning cause half of it is a blur in front of glare
@@fuckd4vid That's what I'm doing.
Looks like straight up ass.

Skateboarding is fun u should only be doing it if it’s fun for u
@@jameswood608 of course, what I said doesn't contradict that, I'm just making commentary on the whole "industry" of being "pro"
These dudes are filming on a potato 🥔 🤣
Way to make some great skating look like shit
Super sick but the old timey tape look is just fuckin awful.
Aaron Kyro is the best these guys are just okay 🤷♂️
Using outdated tech ruins this video IMHO. I was alive for Hi-8 that shit was never cool and makes this look super pretentious.
Lmao
