A raw video diary from picking up my medication to week 3. I hope this helps people know a bit more of what you may expect when starting on ADHD medication.

The difference between long and short releases is that the long release .pi. ll. s. are highly engineered with
    micro-cavities
to release the active-agent over time in the intestine. They can be of any dosage from 18mg to the higher do. se. s.
I don't really know what you mean with the percentages

I'm really cautious about taking any medications, so thank you for this. I've just been prescribed Concerta 18mg.

Hi Catherine, great videos on your ADHD journey, thank you for sharing and well done for sticking with it and getting your diagnosis through the NHS, which is ridiculously slow. I've just been diagnosed at age 48 (and a half) and I'm waiting to receive my first prescription for ConcertaXL. Really excited to get started and see how they can help me with my symptoms.
I'd be really interested to hear how your getting on now you've been on the meds for a couple of months, and the difference between the starting dose and an increased dose (if you did go up)?
I hope you're able to keep posting, as you progress on your journey.
All the best and good luck.

@davidlumsden7006 oh my goodness I’m so sorry I’ve only just seen your comment! Thank you for such kind and supportive words ✨ I need to do another video, in true ADHD fashion I started something and didn’t keep it up 🥲 I do hope you’re feeling clearer since your diagnosis and I’ll make sure to post again soon ❤

Hi Catherine. Thank you so much for posting about your experience with your ADHD medication. My daughter should be starting on medication soon and is feeling a bit nervous about it so it’s nice to see someone else’s experience. I know it can be different for everyone but it’s great that you’ve shared this and to get people taking more about ADHD, it’s different symptoms and how meditation can help. I hope you’re still getting on well with your meditation? 😁

Thanks so much for your comment ✨the first few weeks can definitely feel weird but I’m hoping you’ll see a positive change in her like my family did in me. I’ll keep you updated on how I get on over the next few months as I find the right dose!

@@catherineallan5043did you find the right dose? I picked up Concerta 18mg today in the evening and plan on starting tomorrow morning. Been diagnosed with adhd since I was 24 and now at 32 I’ve decided to give Concerta a try. Did you also get the name brand or did you get the generic? I decided to get the name brand even tho they charged me $413 for a month supply when the generic would have been under 80. I just keep hearing the generic is not the same and I didn’t want to risk it so I got the name brand.

@williamwinn948 don’t feel disheartened. Sometimes things are happening internally that aren’t as obvious to other people. It can take time to find the right medication and dose so stick with it ✨
