I tripped out on how the transmission kicked into the last gear after a hundred miles mph! Haven't gotten my 05 S.L there yet, but it's really awesome to know that it does! 🙌🏼😎
Yeah that's the only car I've ever had that happen in so far, and I've owned like 20 lol (and had them all to 100+ mph). Must be a combination of the gear ratios and the low redline compared to other 4cyl cars...
Mine burns oil because of the manifold fucking up. It has 189k and still runs great though. These things are reliable, I put around 90k on mine. I'm probably just gonna buy a used engine and run it longer seeing how gas prices are
These guys both said V6 which is well over 200hp. As for me, why not. I don't care if it has 100hp or 500hp- if I can make it more enjoyable to drive then I will. It's not wasting time or money when it makes the drive that much more enjoyable for me when I'm behind the wheel. That's what it's all about, the driving experience. Always worth the time, effort, and money to me to improve the experience, no matter what it is...
I would love 2 race this and see the difference in my 16 altima vs this car! I'm at a disadvantage though because I have twice as many miles as you lol.
I mean the best headers were only a 8-9hp increase, so no. I now hqve the header, cheap ebay cold air intake, and a cheap amazon performance muffler. It might keep up now, idk. I would have to watch the old pull video of the '17 I drove and compare it to how my 06 runs now. You also have to remember the older ones had a 4 speed auto, the new ones have cvt auto trans...
Cold air intake doesn't add much, but the header was a noticeable increase in power (small). Best mod I did to this thing was an aluminum underdrive pulley. Check out the Altima playlist on the channel...
3.5v6 was a rocket before they started using the CVT, I had a 2003 3.5SE had 250 hp and only wait a little over 3,200 lb, would blow away Mustangs and Camaros with ease. I couldn't keep up with the Corvettes and the real high-end BMWs but that was about it.
@@BuckeyeBallistics yeah Nissan back then were fast, their cars were a lot lighter, and their Transmissions were a lot faster, although the newer cvts are getting better
I honestly never got a code for 2-3 weeks but then it started popping up randomly and then going away every few weeks. The kit I got came with the spacer/extension but I never got around to installing it since the light stayed out 95% of the time...
Yeah my code went away after driving it for a few hundred miles i still have the code for the heater o2 sensor but i already know that ones bad. Great header install video man i watched it to install mine
It's about the same as the Durango lmao. Like literally, you've watched my Durango video like 100 times lol. And yeah but the R/T has twice the cylinders, twice the torque, and about 80 more hp.
Guns&Cars the rt is faster than the 4.7 so why does it matter that I watched your vid also let me say this again the rt Durango weighs 1,700 more so it makes sense that’s it’s a little faster than the Altima
I did that- check the Altima playlist on the channel. The header is a great mod to get rid of the manifold pre-cat before it kills the engine (google it), and yes it makes a little difference. The pulley however was the best mod more power everywhere including off the line down low power...
The 2003 and 4, was a different Animal, the 3.5 was a four-door front wheel drive Nissan Z. The car was a rocket, then they destroyed it in 2005 or 6, by making it a lot heavier and adding a CVT transmission.

@KW - The 97-04 Corvette doesn't shift out of 2nd until 100mph and doesn't hit 4th (last gear) until after 160mph.
I had my dad replace engine and tran both used and is now about 250k and runs pretty good

Nice! I just did my air intake
Just did that a few weeks ago as well; got me an el cheapo muffler to put on next.
Guns&Cars niceeeeee! Lol
It's just my beater car, the real money goes into the Mustang...
Guns&Cars yessir, my mustang is my precious. My Altima is my daily. Still a good daily though
Cool that we have the same cars 😅
Looking for a tuner for a qr25de
I want to race😈! Nice vid
Bring it sucka 🤪
Guns&Cars 😆🤣
Did you need to get a tune for the headers? I’m thinking of doing this to my 05 v6 Altima .....
No
I cannot find headers for altima 05 v6
Ebay/amazon.
Why would you even beat on anything under 200 hp?

Why did the oil light flash upon the first pull ?
It was low on oil. I noticed it while recording this and went home and checked it and it was low.
Maybe not crazy in a straight line but they drive so nice
Yeah I was surprised. I love how it feels to drive it, really comfortable and easy. Wish I had the V6 one...

Damm that’s as fast or faster than a 5.9l r/t Dakota or Durango.
Probably 🤣 J/K - Maybe the rango but not the kota.
That’s such a random comparison 😂 and that is definitely not faster than the Durango or Dakota
