Don't be a squid! Get geared up at shop.yammienoob.co
Suzuki need to hire designers before they start selling anything. I don't care about innovation and all as long as they can give same level of fun.
Umm, Kawasaki don’t operate in the 1000cc naked market except for the ZH2? Kawasaki Z1000? Am I missing something here? 7:35
I appreciate you’re promoting your business but come on, the whole don’t be a squid thing is redundant! People should ride their ride and let others do the same!
isn't the z1000 the litre naked bike from the green team ?
Suzukis are easier to work on, and their engines are more durable. If you go to the dragstrip you will find mostly Suzukis
I've owned and ridden both brands. I recently sold my Kawasaki vaquero and bought the gsxs 1000gt. Im really not sure how else to explain this but there's a less refined rawness to Suzuki that keeps me coming back to the brand. Kawasaki is so refined and smooth now that for me it loses that little something that gets me as excited.
I can see that I suppose. The 2004/2005 Zx10r was one of my all time favourite bikes and most people had a bunch of complaints about how hard it was to control.
Suzuki is slow on innovation and new features. Upside of this approach is reliability. They just work. Extremely easy to service. Engines are bulletproof. I like Kawasaki. Z800 is on my list of best looking bikes. But Suzuki gives best bang for buck! If you need a new toy and money is not an issue, other brands may have more to offer. If you need a reliable workhorse that doesn't cost arm and leg. Good for every day commute, and occasional weekend blast. Suzuki will not disappoint.
Edit: You did not mention Intruder/ Boulevard 1800. Legendary beast.
I've had both brands and Both were very good, at least the ones I had were.
Fr. Suzuki has really good motorcycles but they just expect you to live like a peasant. They don't want to change much but i prefer it that way. I dont wanna rely on things that break down.
@@zenithindaevo8261 Keeping things simple is good when you need reliability. Less things to go wrong. I wouldn't say that a man who prefers simplicity is a peasant. He just prefers peace of mind over bells and whistles. Simple does not mean primitive.
Back in my day, Suzuki was at the leading edge of innovation. Every other brand struggled trying to play catch up, but as soon as they got close, suzuki would drop another nuke on them and send them all back to the drawing bards. Gawd those were fun times.
That's exactly the reason I got a 650 Vstrom to commute on. Rain or shine, sun or snow it'll start everytime and be super easy to take care off. It'll get me exactly where i need to go with no fuss. For me, as someone who uses a bike as a main vehicle and not a toy that's the most important thing.
When I wanted a cheap second bike to use during the winter, I looked around and chose a 1980 GS550L. Never had a Suzuki before, but it's been great fun to ride and very reliable.
My choices:
Super sport 600cc class: kawasaki zx 636
Super sport 1000cc class: after 2017 suzuki because vvt, midrange and smoother before 2017 zx10 allday
Naked 650 class: suzuki sv650
Naked 1000 class: after 2021 gsxs 1000 before 2021 z1000 got better looks
Adv touring class: Suzuki V-strom 1000 over versys1000 any day
Sport touring: Kawasaki concours 14 / gtr 1400
Hyperbike class: zx14r over hayabusa any day, H2 also
Cruser class: Suzuki M109r
Man I prefer Kawasaki as a brand but the Hayabusa and Katana individuallly rank higher than any ninja on the list of bikes I want to own lol.
katana is overrated nothing special about it and ugly
@@M16xDr0pSh0tz opinion
@@Cosmicdonut6764 its a trash bike. running on fumes of nostalgia
@@M16xDr0pSh0tz couldn’t say never even rode a Suzuki bike lol
They both make great bikes, that's for sure. However, I'm a Suzuki guy myself. Every product of theirs I have ever met has been nothing but bulletproof.
I’m addicted to the weird but hilarious ending bits on these vids.
Also, I’d go a Suzuki.
As someone who just got there first motercycle at 16 "last month " I've been in love with suzuki and really appreciate the easy mantince cheaper price and insane reliability I got the drz400 as first bike and never looked back
Well yammie did say at the end of the video for Suzuki simps to try to avoid “cheap” and “reliable “ lol
@@alejandromato1992 well it's better then expensive and breakable
@@animalgamer7517 depends on what ur values lie in, I went with the ninja 650 myself over anything Suzuki had because I valued “cheap ish” and mostly, “comfortable “ and being 5’5” my options r limited just by my genetics and I’m just not into the look of Suzukis naked options
@@animalgamer7517 since when was any japanese bike 'breakable'. Suzuki simps I tell ya, so narrow minded. And since when was kawasaki expensive. It is one of the cheapest brands out there. Pretty much every other brand but suzuki is more expensive.
I learned how to ride on a drz400 at the farm. But driving a sport on the street is so different. The seating position and power difference is so drastic the skills are almost unrelated
I have had my 1982 gs550m for like 5 years damn it has been a beast. Bulletproof engine and no problems and really cheap to maintain.
I love the Kawasaki Green but I prefer riding Suzuki motorcycles. My 750 Gixxer was awesome!!!!
750 is the king of bikes! Lol a quickshifter would be nice on the bike though
V-STROM does everything.. not the best, but good enough, and for a fraction of the cost. You'll be happy with it so long as you don't spend your life on RUclips comparing bikes with .5" more of ground clearance than another,.. or this bike bike has cruise control and this one doesn't.. blah blah. As my first bike, in the terrain i like in, it was deff a great choice. Height approachble, not zoinked on power, simple, able to wrench on it, reliable, comfortable, v-twin feel & fun. For the cost, what's not to like.
GSXR 750>ZX6

Purchased the Gsxs 750 2022. Great motorcycle very happy with it.
Suzuki for the DRZ, still the best dual sport there is ❤️
The best? Idk about that lol
Having spent more hours than I can count working on both in a dealership hands down Kawasaki!
I tried to get a ZX-10R. Twice. Waited 2 months both times but no bike ever showed up. The second time the sales person said "...but we have a Hayabusa on the floor right now.". So I bought it. Very nice bike.
You were trying to eat a vanilla ice cream but you got a butter scotch with extra honey and chocolate toppings.
Been riding my 04 Z1K for 13 years now. Just decked it out in carbon fiber trim, picked up what was probably the very last set of new Gilles rearsets for a Gen 1 Z in the world, picked up a refurbed full titanium Akra 4-1 from Japan, and had it dyno’d all last summer. Went from 127 to 145hp.
I’ve only ever rode Kawi’s so I’m probably not the best person to ask what is better but after 13 years I’m still in love with mine.
I recently switched from a 2016 Er6n (Kawasaki 650 naked) to a '06 DL1000 and I love the Vstrom!. Huge jump backwards on time, BUT! it´s just an amazing machine!!! and with only 27k miles on the clock I think that I have almost a new bike. I´m not a Fanboy for any brand, just love to ride different machines!. love yall!. ride safe out there!.
Suzuki for sure! Engines are bulletproof. Just buy tires and change the oil.
I just bought a 2022 GSXS1000GT+ a few months ago and I love it! I’d say outside of the GSXS8 coming from Suzuki, it’s their most modern new bike
I went to go buy one of those 2 weeks ago. they finally got a 2023 in the showroom. but, sadly, i just didn't fit on it. not near enough legroom for me. Now im looking at a V-strom 1050. But I really wanted that GSXS1000GT+
I feel like the gsxs8 will be in a weird place because it doesn't fit the average suzuki rider. They dont want the tech or a new engine design. They just want good old suzuki that they have come to know and love. At least that's the impression I get from these comments.
What about the gsxr750 things a perfect middle between 600 and 1kcc. That’s bonus points. Suzuki has a bike for everyone. Which is a plus in my book.
Yess i agree!!
Susuki, gotta keep it old school
I've only had one Suzuki (my last bike after being away from motorcycles for 30 years). When I retired at 67 I bought a 33 year old '88 Katana 1100 with 113,000 km on it and enjoyed it for a few years before recently selling it. Pretty hard to beat Suzuki reliability.
Why stop for 30 years gramps ?
@@TheInfantry98 sometimes a family happens and priorities change.
Cruiser boy perspective here. I had a Suzuki VZ800 Marauder and it felt like it was made of scrap, had endless problems with reliability and that doubt kind of spoils the joy of riding. I now have a Kawasaki VN1500 Vulcan and it feels refined and solid...a world of difference.
I know you're only about sportbikes but I've had a kawi vulcan and now I have a intruder (c90) and I gotta say.... the suzi build quality is pretty great.
One benefit of Zuke is the interchangeability of parts between many different models and years.
here in asia...where motorcycles are everyday mass transport and where4 most of the population rides in real world condition and the bikes takes the abuse like nowhere else..Suzuki is proven unbeatable on few factors...Reliability (their engine are the best, undisputedly robust),better handling, feel of the ride...theres just something that is hard to describe owning n riding a suzuki, and to me suzuki was always ahead of its time in technology, especially when it comes to design and engineering that take into account for efficiency and unbeatable true quality... i can say this..cos ive ridden other make before since younger days...but still keeping my suzuki.
Lightly used 2016 bandits are selling for under 6k. Reliable commute+fun
My first bike ever was a 1994 Suzuki Katana 600 that I picked up for $1000. Still love Suzuki to this day, but now I'm riding a Triumph.
I LOVE how utilitarian the kawis are
Hayabusa, nuff said
Kawasaki's always have the nicest paint and coatings

@@ABunchOfBusas if i were 40 years younger, would have a busa for sure. Well, maybe a gxr1000. Idk, Such a tough choice!
Suzuki is such a nice bike. The R1 is the tru squid missile. Everybody has one. Every new rider wants one. Plus, the R1M is a scam. I've had three liter bikes. My Suzuki 750 is my favorite.
Kawasaki only because I've worked on them. You really can't judge by manufacturer but rather on how you ride and your specific performance needs. Must compare model to model.
Suzuki - the DRZ400 bike and their LTZ400 quad had quite possibly the most perfect motors of their era, would be proud to own either one to this day... Kawasaki? The new KLX300 dual sport, what an absolute gem..... would do 9/10ths of anything I would want. You asked for my opinion yammysquid, you got it 🙃
If we are talking dirt kawasaki wipes the floor, klx300 (old kickstart one) KDX line, klx650, kx has always been more competitive,
I used to ride a DRZ400 went to kawi and never looked back
The gsxr 750 is the best 600 😂
Have 750 a 2012 model and it's bulletproof. Fun fact is slurps same volume of petrol per 100Km as my new 2022 Z650 (yes have both brands) selling them soon and getting M109R - Suzi for the win
Lol na fr
Kawasaki has an allure to it. Suzuki seems boring to me.
It was once noted that more people worked in the canteen at HRC than for the entire racing arm of Suzuki, yet Gixxers shone from time to time in various domestic and world SBK series
Well… I have a DRZ400S and a VStrom 1000, so I gotta go with Suzook
So what is mine? I have a Suzuki powered Kawasaki. My bike is a klx400 which was identical to the drz400
I’ve owned 1 Suzuki motorcycle, a DR650. It was my first street legal bike… and it was plagued with starting problems. Dealer just couldn’t figure it out. Frustrated, I traded it up for a Vulcan 750 and I’ve been a Kawi fan ever since. I’m on my 6th Kawasaki bike and never had a bad one.
Zuke Nation baby! Bout a 2003 zx6rr it was nice and smooth but Kawisaki has also been a power house with specs. But who dropped out of moto gp first?? 🤔
As a dealer of both of these bikes you honestly under sold suzuki they have alot of improvments coming to the drz line up and the vstrom and the new gsxr will be alittle more updated
I love both videos where you compared the big 4. What about a direct comparison of Honda vs Kawasaki
I was a Kawasaki guy until I serviced a friends GSXR.
So we'll thought out and easy to work on.
My Honda 954 was a big pita to service.
No such thing as a girls bike, girls are riding everything these days.
I prefer Suzuki's, I have had four with no problems and much joy, I will buy my fifth Suzuki this spring!
I never had a Kawa bike before. My latest bike is the legendary SV650. I like its old school design and V2 engine.
Great bike
Love SV650
I absolutely love my OG 1999 Suzuki SV650 with 40,000+ miles. Still pulls hard, aluminum frame still looks super cool, and with aftermarket pipes that bulletproof V-Twin sounds AMAZING.
The SV650 may be the greatest all-around bike ever made. Suzuki for the win!
Only ever had Honda's but i bought a Kawasaki W800 and i absolutely love it. I find Honda/Kawasaki to be a little more nitty/gritty and the Yamaha/Suzuki to be more dead nuts reliable/bare bones. My next bike will almost certainly be a DR650 for trails.
i had both, a ZZR1100 from kawasaki and a gsxr1100R and a hayabusa from suzuki, loved them all, all were great for their era. had an older yamaha TT600,didnt like that one and had a honda cbr1100xx blackbird, loved that one
I have a Suzuki Grand Vitara which we take off road. One day I want a matching Busa to park beside it because why not!?
I love Kawasaki but I never had one. But I had 3 Suzukis and one on order for 2023. I love Suzuki Vtwin engines . For the last few years Kawasaki was ahead with tech and design. But for 2023 Suzuki made some nice steps forward. Giving bikes quickshifter and TFT. For 2023 I did order the updated regular Vstrom 1050.
Jammy pubes flexing his bikes in the end made my day.
Based on how many of each I have owned I guess I prefer Suzuki.
This year I am debating the gsx8s or a z900. My last bike was an fz07 and really just want that performance or a little better with better suspension and some current tech.
The h2 is nice but it's too expensive for most people. A motorcycle is just for enjoyment. Most people would not want to spend 30,000 on an h2.
Let the good times roll
i'm pretty satisfied with my GSX S1000F it's got all i need , power , comfort and easy to ride , not a fan of too much tech on a bike and it's my daily bike , only one and without a car.
As a Honda guy, i'd say that Kawasaki wins small and big cc bikes, but Suzuki absolutely wins middlewight with the SV650. The GSX600-R can't compete with the ZX6R.
Build and maintenance i've heard from a couple of motorcycle mechanics that Suzuki is usually a joy to work on.
Kawasaki's bikes are built more 'fast' looking than Suzuki.
YAMMIE! I got hear early just to tell you TURBO KATANAS EXIST AND THEY ARE CRAZY! The original and the new one, they both rip and sound insane... And they're lighter than Turbo Busas, too!
Saw a Busa today and it made my head turn. But I still prefer Kawi.
I like both of them! Gixxers are great and I have a Hayabusa. When it's about maintenances, I would prefer Kawasaki a lil bit more.
My buddy has a 2016 z800, i have a 2020 gsxs750. we are always making fun of each other but both are great bikes. Same horsepower. Always a nice look those two bikes next to each other when we parked
It's depends what motorcycle model ✌🏻😊
I owned 3 Kawasaki Ninjas and 1 Suzuki GSX1000. Kawa is better looking, Suzy a little higher quality and lower price. Now, I ride BMWs, more tech, more comfort. But I know, that one day I will buy one Ninja again. So my vote go to Kawa.
Only Suzuki I like is the turbo Busa baby. @Yammie Noob, have you seen Chris Moore’s 2023 turbo Busa? That thing is sooooo sick
Love how the GSX-R1000 takes the H2 to Gapplebees on Big Kountry’s channel.
My 8s drives smooth af. I've looked for so long for a "boring" bike like this and loving it to have it now. It is predictable, yes that's exactly what i wanted. Not a big fan of the generic aggressive look but as soon as I stick a touring windshield on it will be a real eyecatcher; for better or worse....
I've never owned a Suzuki, but a loooooong time ago I had a Kawasaki KMX-125, so I guess I have to root for team green if these are my only choices.
I have owned sport bikes from both brands. Kawasaki is definitely leading the pack in the present and has many phenomenal and benchmark bikes with great tech and power at the best prices. Suzuki is no joke but they became the king in the mid 2000s and never evolved. The gsxr 750 still stands alone and is a shining example of what Suzuki is capable of which I own after trading in my Kawasaki. Even as I think of my next bike I would go R1 or panigale before h2
I want a H2 SX. Big touring squid.
As someone who has had both a gsxr 600 and a zx6r and have a gsxr 1000 and have ridden a zx10r I can say I prefer suzukis 600 and kawasakis 1000 more
Good video
I'm 43 and my first bike was a used RG gamma 50cc in 1996. Not going to bore anyone with stories and give mention to all the bikes I've owned both onroad and offroad and which ones did me good but on a whole: Suzuki is most bulletproof, easiest to work on and so any Hooligan loves them. 🐙
P.S. Alot of honest mechanics in my country will not even take your money for valve clearance checks on a Suzuki. They always seem to be in spec and legend has it they can run on baby oil😂😂😂
Kawasaki for me of course. 👍
I have a zx14r and i get recognized everywhere. I even get waves from HD riders. FACT no one cares about the Hayabusa except squids, besides since gen 1 they are ugly AF. Only downside to the zx14r is the banana seat. Still the fastest production bike. Even the h2 factory 1/4 mile is slower. By .10ths but still
Why doesn't the comment have the check?

I'm a "boosted" busa boy....Now growing up back in the day I rode only kz900s or 1000s
I love both, and Honda and Yamaha. I have owned all of them.
My Suzuki GS 750 was very fast for it's day. And I prefer my Kawasaki (outdated) KDX 220R to any new dual sport out there. It is fast for the woods, reliable, and super cool with it;s modified (by Jeff Fredette) engine.
For every shiny turnkey toy Kawi has, Suzuki has a thing that has a kit that can turn that thing into a better version of that shiny turnkey toy. Or you can leave that something as is and have your grandchildren bopping around on it. Kawasaki sells solutions, Suzuki sells canvases.
Another major minus for Kawi on my book is that nobody seems to even bother with a paintjob for the kawis. Just... Take a look at your H2 Yams. Black panels on green frame. That's the H2 colors, I get it. It's a good combination, and on the bike it's iconic, but after literally seven years of this bike being out on the market I have yet to see even ONE H2 with any other color than black panels on green frame. We have Busas in every combination of colors known to man. Heck, yours look like a giant Duracell battery. And yet the H2 is just black on green. At this point that shit is downright drab. Once you got your H2 to be turnkey, Yammie, I want you to paint it. Just fucking paint it. Paint it literally any other colorway than black on green. Please.
You guys should make a review on a GSXR-750. Who are they for and why you should/shouldn’t get one.

Suzuki also made the GSX-S1100S Katana & TL1000R, bikes almost 2 decades apart but tried equally as hard as they could to kill the rider. They've also spent the last 20+ years with GM, then VW & now Toyota being part owners in the business, so that may explain something.
I have fond early 90's memories of watching the MotoGP at ridiculous hours with a few mates then squidding our RG250's & RGV250's through the suburbs of Sydney until 3:00 am. When I decided I wanted a 650 twin in '06 though I had a choice of the 7 year old SV650 or a brand new 650cc twin from Kawasaki, and the Kawasaki had an option with a full fairing. Needless to say I bought the shiny new Kawasaki & it's still in my stable.
Growing up, motorcycles were called either ninjas or harleys

In Argentina and other parts of latin america Suzuki still sells a street 2-stroke named AX-100
I like simple bikes. Suzuki wins for me. If I had to pick one manufacturer it would be tough to not go with Suzuki, you can still get a brand new dr650 that will probably function for 30 years. An SV650 is a great bike for almost anything the DR wouldn’t do well.
Is there a difference in price to repair/upgrade?
Forgive me now cause i know diddle about bikes, still soaking all the yamm knowledge before i to the msf this summer...34 year old here
I’ve kind of got my motorcycle future planned out lol. I started on a 95 ninja 250 that I still have. I’m gonna upgrade to a 06 ninja 650. Then I’m gonna move on to a zx6r. Then to a gsxr 750. Then either a k5 gsxr 1000 or an r1. Then wrap up my sport Ike life with a hayabusa and then I will probably retire into Harley Davidsons lol
i bought new suzuki gsx s 125, cant wait to get it on road!
I have that same bike.
I’m taking the A driver’s license that allows me to ride any bike I want, but for now the 125 is teaching me a lot and faster. I’m enjoying a lot!
I’m starting at a very old age, but don’t care. It’s freaking awesome.
Suzuki also has the Katana though, which spanks the Z900RS.
As an owner of a busa and a zx12r my answer is yes.
That 'busa lady is magic.
I like both brands but the after sales and parts support for these two brands is somewhat lacking where iam from. As a result the most common bikes on the road are from Honda and Yamaha.
I think the big benefit to Suzuki on a day-to-day they're slightly easier to live with. For the most part they just work well at what they are designed to do for a good price. The Kawasaki are typically more expensive and they either are better or worse but typically always more expensive.
I just enjoy whichever bike specially our 20 year old suzuki with a tiny 150cc engine
Drz400 was my beginner bike!
