I absolutely love my Nordic Hyper GHD, I would never pay for the Shogun Sports and it might be "better quality", but the versatality of the Nordic Hyper is amazing and the quality is still amazing.
Yeah, I agree. The versatility of the Freak Athlete is awesome. The build on the Nord Ex is excellent but the quality Nordic Hyper GHD is still great and beautifully engineered
I’m in the opposite camp. The Freak Athlete already overlapped with other things in my gym (a Bells of Steel dual GHD / reverse hyper, a decline bench), so in shopping for something for Nordics and back extensions, it was an easy choice to want to find the “best” that I could for those things specifically. I felt the extra versatility was simply going to be wasted on me. On a practical sense though, the dimensions of the two when stored vertically was also a key factor, the height of the Freak Athlete was actually going to be problematic with where I wanted to store either of these.
Oh nono, I'm at 40 degress nordics, I almost tore my entire left hamstring a couple years ago and that is very much still an issue, so I bought this to start focusing on really strengthening it, in a way that normal exercises just doesn't.@@ShreddedDad
I have good mobility when it comes to my back extensions. I can maintain straight legs and straight back (not rounding) and go past 90 degrees bend My concern is will my head hit the machine on the shogun.? Will my abdomen hit the machine on the freak athlete? I run into these problems quite often and is hard to get the most out of my back extensions depending on design of machine. Off of video it looks like I have more room for mobility on freak athlete. But still unsure. My build is 5”6” 155lbs
It’s for bodyweight and resistance band hypers Works well since the GHD pad lifts your hips so there’s clearance on the bottom If you’re really tall you can decline the handle side so you have more leg room on the other end Here’s my full review of the Freak Athlete Nordic Hyper ruclips.net/video/Um8xKdh4Iqg/видео.html
I just bought the Shogun yesterday with mil discount. I wanted the Tib Bar Guy’s offering, but that website noted delivery two months from now - and I want to get started sooner than later. Thus I got the Shogun. It shipped in a day, will be here tomorrow.

It would help if you slowed down your closeup scenes a little so we can get a better look. Some of them are less than a second.

Great review! I have the Freak Athlete. I've had it for about two weeks now and really enjoy it.
It’s a good machine 👊
That's so awesome to hear! How is your training going now that you've had it for a couple months?

It’s a good thing we have options. Are you able to do full Nordics yet?

@@REPPINDB that’s the beauty of the regressions.
The Freak GHD seems like the better option. Thanks for the review sir.
Both are great. Freak Athlete gives you more options.

Which would you have if you can only keep one?
Freak Athlete because I can do more exercises but also cause I like full range of motion Nordic regressions better then partials
You can read more about it here ShreddedDad.com/freak-athlete-hyper-pro
How's the Freak Athlete bench for reverse hypers?
It’s for bodyweight and resistance band hypers

@@ShreddedDad do you think sissy squats can be done with it?
@blackjaguarlord no
Shipping on the Freak is close to $200; shipping on the Shogun is free. In the end, they aren’t that different in price once shipped.
“Free” shipping is usually added to the price you’re paying

@@ShreddedDadwhich is better?
@biagiobergantino I like Freak Athlete’s better. I prefer full range of motion Nordic curls over partial and I get more functions in one machine
But u didn't use the machines 🤔???😢😢😢
I have several videos on my channel using them. This was just a comparison of the features
Baseblocks Nordic + is best
I’ve never used it but it looks like a regular Nordic bench. Does it have regressions?
Yes
