Didn't even know you could do a safari in Portugal! Not good when you start off with a "bumpy test". Wild curry. Who would have thought? What a magical spot for a swing. How could they know the cake was so good and only bring you one?! What a view from the mountain but what a scary ride through the fog down.
Ah thanks guys, the safari was really great and yeah it’s not something you’d expect in Portugal. Unfortunately there was no wild animals to see but the Portuguese country side was beautiful and a really nice change of pace from the coastal beaches we’ve become accustomed too…😆 have you guys got Portugal on your list at all??? I think you’d love it…
@@GoTimeTravels did you move over our on one of those three month vacations ? After a whole life in NY now one year in PT this is a great place 💩i aint going back to NY and the boss keeps calling me 😂😂😂

i know right, it was so surprising. It really was amazing to see that side of the Algarve, and yeah so close to the beaches it really is the perfect location. Beautiful part of the world. ❤️ thanks so much for watching and your comment 🙏
The highest point in Serra de monchique is like 700 meters above sea level, the region is quite hilly but a bit further north in Alentejo is almost all plain .
Caolan & Samantha, what a great trip and amazing waterfall. Standing in the jeep looks like a workout!!!! We went to Monchique a few days ago, it was Freezing at the summit.
Ah thank you. Really glad you liked our video, the safari was so much fun and so nice to see the beautiful countryside, it was a great activity to do and we are glad we did it, it was a pity we didn’t get better weather on our trip to Monchique but maybe next time, hope you had better weather on your trip than us ☺️ thanks again for watching ❤️✌️
My company built several villas around Monchique, it got popular in the 70s with foreigners from Uk, germany , Holland finding it and doing their arts and crafts, just be careful drinking the water, higher up the mountain all residents kept pigs and it fouled the water. On the top where you are you have left the Algarve and are standing in 'Alentejo', the next province up.
Oved this video.. It looked great fun but i dont think id be brave enough for it.. Brilliant video guys.. You really are living tbe dream.. Love Portugal 😍😍
Thanks Caroline, really glad you liked the video and thanks for watching! The safari was a lot of fun but also quite scary at times ☺️ all part of the fun I guess, but we were sore the next day 😳😆
Hi guys! The cake was probably a Torta de Laranja (Orange Roll) cut in slices. Really easy to bake. Just add eggs, sugar, flour, orange juice and zest. In the Algarve you may also the traditional almond, figs or carob cakes. Enjoy!
Ah thank you, we were curious to find out the name of the cake, it was really good, it’s our new favourite 🤩 I think we will have to try to make it ourselves. Thanks so much for the recommendations and thank you for watching and your comment, we appreciate it ❤️🇵🇹
Loved it! The view at the end when you were in the clouds was something else! I wonder how many people lose or chip their teeth on the metal rail of that safari vehicle 😅!! Cheers for sharing 👌
Cheers Finn, as much as it was fun, it was also tough to hold on 😆 my main concern was losing my head from a branch….😳 a lot of fun tho and really glad we did it, the Portugal countryside really is beautiful ❤️🇵🇹
@@GoTimeTravels Oh I hoped u would know the name because I'm from Portugal and I wanted to visit it in this summer. Do you have any pamphlet or is there any information about the route you took on the safari tour ?
Beautiful beautiful and the driver, man full of humor very nice. Congratulation.

Who did you book the jeep safari
😀😀
Thank you 🙏 😀
In past years people have died on these 'safaris', drivers of the jeeps were known to have got their licences free from kelloggs boxes.
So there were no animals? Why is it called "safari" then?
The animals are inside the car
😀
