Without the wisdom of Adi Shankaracharya Hinduism could not have survived the onslaught of Islamic invaders. Thanks to his work we could hold on to our identities.
Yess he defeated budism by logic.. islam came later... This is thruth.. everybody know this... U are a fool.. openup your thoughts. Don't fill shitt like this
More than identities, I would say, thanks to him we still have some documentation of experience of truth, and a few pieces of information left behind that would help us experience it for ourselves.
@@jeevanananddevadiga6363 Amita Prabhakar is correct and right in what she says. Don't look at it temporally. See the contribution of Adishankracharya as a psychological legacy.By reading his work only, the Hindus in the dark age of medieval times could hold on to the essence of Sanatana Dharma. It is an event unknown elsewhere on the entire planet that a civilization inspite of 1000+ years of foreign invasions, and 800+ years of foreign rule still retains more or less the basic essence of its ideology. Spaniards ended Aztecs, Mayans crumpled under the British. Egyptians too came to an end under the atrocities of Romans and Muslims. The aboriginal paganism of Europe too was swayed away with killings or otherwise by the Christians. All ancient ideologies came to a halt under the onslaught and forced conversions by Abhramic religions. Only the eternal, the Santana Dharma remains. A wondrous exception which the early Muslim invaders could not uproot neither the later Christian colonists could subjugate. Hail Sanatana Dharma ' the eternal way of life.'

Correct yourself. Guru of Adi Shankarachary was Shri Govindapāda, and Guru of Shri Govindpada was Shri Gaudapadacharya) Padmapadachary was among Adi Shankarachary's 4 main disciples. (Others are Totakacharya, Hastamalakacharya, Sureshwaracharya)
*Padmapaada was the disciple, one among the prominent 4.* *Did you know how he was named thus?* Once Adi Sankara, called out Padma-paada by his pre-monasic name (I don't remember what). That time Padmapaada answered Guru's call and lo, the river on whose other bank that then he was, immediately started rushing to the Acharya, walking across the flooded river. Atonce lotuses bloomed below his feet and he in turn reduced his weight by a siddhi called "annimaa" so as not to hurt the petals... and the lotuses supported him to cross over to the other shore of the flooded river. Aghast, seeing the fervour of his Guru-bhakti, the Acharya re-named him: Padmapaada and also benevolently bestowed Brahma-Jnaana. Later, Padmapada supplemented the literary works of Acharya Bhagavadpaada which, the Hindu community has comfortably, utmost SINFULLY ignored...! 🤘 The person you intended hinting is... Gaudapaada Acharya, sir. Kindly edit your post, please!🙏*
I'm a Muslim but I love it at least I love Hinduism religion it's an spiritual religion so much historical people like sadhu's and gurus in Hinduism..lots of love from Belgium 😍😍😘😘I find Hinduism religion so interesting I wish I visit one day India 😭💔 to see the real Hinduism religion and spirituality 😍😍😍
For 28 years i was indoctrinated as a muslim in the netherlands until shiva hit me and now after 2 years im here i am astonished it brought me here now i am nothing no muslim not this not that im crying out of joy i love shiva
I am also a young Muslim woman , and a very spiritual person , this is one of my favorite of many mantras, this practice of awareness and connecting with my being , has helped me to connect more than ever with EVERYTHING in my life , we are all ONE, we are the UNIVERSE, we are HUMAN BEINGS but our life on this earth made us forget the BEING part , this completes my rituals in Islam , there is no rules which says you cannot embrace and love all practices, there is no right or wrong, it is ALL one , I found balance in my different practices and rituals , every single of them exists for a SPECIFIC REASON, just follow your HEART and the flow will follow and you will feel HOME again , I love you all , sending you peace from Africa.

Same here . Strictly opposite to this philosophy is Thomas Hobbes wherein his book "Leviathan" , he says : "human beings are selfish self centered animals who uses his intellectual capacity to further his ends ". Still in confusion - who is more true?
I am a student of sanskrit, I felt really bad when people said what is the use of sanskrit language? Then one day I replied , see this is the knowledge of sanskrit, after listening your foul things about my subject, I am showing respect to you . As I learn " Vidya dadati vinyam" I understand gradually that people who are less knowledgeable speak these type of things .
I too am born in a Christian family...I find immense MEANING, PEACE & CONTENTMENT when listening to this mantra. Sanatana Dharma...truly a logical guided way to peace within.

I feel an immense love for Shiva, I cry desperately with longing I don't know what.. I have the feeling that if I were to sit at his feet, I would gladly serve him even if it were for eternity. I'm Brazilian, here the vast majority are Christians, however, I have the feeling that in Mahadeva I found my foundation again.
the strong emphasis of this is to realize the "self", which is using "Neti neti" meaning "not this, not this", by understanding what you are not, you realize who you truly are...by discriminating between the real and unreal...the main teaching of Advaita vedanta. Om!

Trust me - I know all religions - have studied them , if not deeply , then surely the final product - Hinduism is the best fit - it calls for liberty , freedom from within , development , but association also with the biotic and abiotic factors.....then refinement of the soul itself . Today not even 5% knows the real Hinduism. So both Hindus and Hinduism in their original form are extinct in the wild.
@Er. CHETAN TIWARY You're right I have always been struggeling with christianity and dispite the generally good teachings of Jesus I was seeking for something more practical and something that was not based on simply believing in something that I would not experience. Also I couldn't stand this extremely hypocritical moralism categorizing everything as "sin" "satanic" and all this crap. So naturally I was seeking in other religions and ancient mythologies and philosophies, sciences, ideologies but in the end I just found myself entirety confussed and I dropped into extreme nihilistic atheism in the end, nearly going cracy. It was when I found meditation as a way to experience the "devine" or whatever one wants to call it myself, that I could find peace with existence and I could clearly experience myself what Advaita Vedanta explains. The "simplicity" and at the same time the holistic approach of Hinduismus based on inner experience rather than unthinkingly believing or disbelieving and condemning others clearly give it an huge advantage over the believe systems of this earth. Om namah shivaya
Leagsa Norassa good to know this my friend..... Always remember this - logic ,rationality and science - they re supreme spirituality- humanity has evolved after much struggle and violence and chaos . We are a sand grain in this universe- like dinosaurs if we will become extinct, nothing substantial will change in the cosmos. Nature and universe will function as it is. All we can do best is to try to become the best like Mahadev and help each other. Har har Mahadev.
Nirvana Shatkam is a composition consisting of 6 slokas written by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya summarizing the basic teachings of Advaita Vedanta or the teachings of non-dualism. It is often said by realized Gurus that these few verses can be of tremendous value for progressing on the path of self realization.
There is always a unique quality when it is sung by Sounds of Isha. Nirvana Shatakam - not a song sung for Shiva but sung as Shiva himself.. there is no way one can sing this song other than dissolving into it as Shiva himself. Immerse into Immense!

The meaning of shiva nirvana shatakam is so enlightening n deep in the same time... The shatakam is all about what all is not shiva...which means nothing can define the supreme core of true existence....which Is all n nothing at the same time....The SHIVA... The true undefined existence 🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@krodhbhattaraka5281 i was expecting this..... Yes he have attended the highest level of perception which is possible, so he has higher level of consciousness or we can say he's the true form of consciousness......n i said nothing can define him.........😌🙏
Story goes like this: 8 year old Adi Shankara renounces the world and travels towards the north. At the banks of narmada near Omakareshwar, M.P, he meets his would be Guru Govindapada who again is disciple of another great Guru Gaudapada. Govindapada asks Shankara who is he? and Shankara a child prodigy that he is, who had mastered the vedas by the time he turned 5, replies with this hymn which became famous.as nirvanashatakam. Govindapada accepts him as a disciple and then began the greatest chapter in the history of sanatan dharma and bharat.
Stories may not be true as British EIC worked full-time to subvert the history. However, Mantra/Shloka were transmitted by oral route and remained more or less pure.
hmm.. then tell me who propagated the sloka? if he recited it in front of his guru, then shouldn't it be not open to everyone? atleast try thinking before saying or believing something.
@@adityaprakash8393 no teacher (or guru to be precises) ever shares his personal history to the students. and if you taking of a story about when he was a student, it never is told to the students. according to what he said, it was as though he was showing off in front of his students calling himself great and mighty in his prime which is obviously not the tale.
I too am on the path of the Self, being a Muslim...... this comment is to let people know that whatever the religion, we all seek the same Truth. Om Namah Shivaya... Om Namoh Vagawate Vasudevaya...

I heard Nirava Shatakam by sounds of Isha for the first time in my pregnancy. And my daughter just loves to hear this. Every time she gets cracky or not sleeping or crying, I play this in background and she stops in fraction of second! This is just miraculous. I guess she loves the beat . Once I play this she goes to sleep before end of the shatakam. She is 7months old now and we both listen and enjoy Nirvana Shatakam together. 😇🙏🏼🙏🏼

People of many religions are saying it's one of the most beautiful thing they have heard. Now imagine the capability of Adi Shankaracharya he said it on the spot when he was 8 years old. Now imagine the capability of India at that time in which people like him were born. Indian mud still have the capability in which people like him can born.
But but iskon tells that great person as mayavadi They treat him as demonic man . And because of iskon many are against the great shankaracharya and even against shiva

When lord adi sankaracharya was questioned who he is - he described himself by nirvana shatakam . A god explaining about himself so that even ignorant ppl like us can try to understand his true form . He cant be compared , related , imagined , felt , contained etc ... he is all beyond human's capacity...
What are not worldly elements or spiritual feeling or sense nor expressible that is sivah🕉️ the supreme soul❤or eternal truth🕉️. Supreme happiness of the soul..
This beautiful mantra.. the nirvana shatakam also called as atma shtakam written by Adi Shankara the great non-dualist of Vedanta philosophy is immensely filled with peace and knowledge within it. Once you get a hold of it, you will feel the radiating bliss which comes with it.
Adi shankaracharya he is such a great human being love u sadhguru this song is a answer when he(adi shankaracharya) asked who r u by his guru 🙏🙏🙏🙏 shivoham shivoiham

Without the wisdom of Adi Shankaracharya Hinduism could not have survived the onslaught of Islamic invaders. Thanks to his work we could hold on to our identities.
Tomorrow is adhi sankara jayanthi.. without him no sanathana dharma
Yess he defeated budism by logic.. islam came later... This is thruth.. everybody know this... U are a fool.. openup your thoughts. Don't fill shitt like this
More than identities, I would say, thanks to him we still have some documentation of experience of truth, and a few pieces of information left behind that would help us experience it for ourselves.
True..
BALAM VISHNOHO PRAVARDHATAM...
Hail Sanatana Dharma ' the eternal way of life.'
im a Muslim and i listen to this regularly. i think its a good description of God.
Its description about the self.
Which is the all pervading consciousnesses
1) I am not mind, nor intellect, nor ego, nor the reflections of inner self. I am not the five senses. I am beyond that. I am not the ether, nor the earth, nor the fire, nor the wind (i.e. the five elements). I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
2) Neither can I be termed as energy (Praana), nor five types of breath (Vaayu), nor the seven material essences (dhaatu), nor the five coverings (panca-kosha). Neither am I the five instruments of elimination, procreation, motion, grasping, or speaking. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
3) I have no hatred or dislike, nor affiliation or liking, nor greed, nor delusion, nor pride or haughtiness, nor feelings of envy or jealousy. I have no duty (dharma), nor any money, nor any desire (refer: kama), nor even liberation (refer: moksha). I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
4) I have neither virtue (punya), nor vice (paapa). I do not commit sins or good deeds, nor have happiness or sorrow, pain or pleasure. I do not need mantras, holy places, scriptures, rituals or sacrifices (yajna). I am none of the triad of the observer or one who experiences, the process of observing or experiencing, or any object being observed or experienced. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
5) I do not have fear of death, as I do not have death. I have no separation from my true self, no doubt about my existence, nor have I discrimination on the basis of birth. I have no father or mother, nor did I have a birth. I am not the relative, nor the friend, nor the guru, nor the disciple. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
6) I am all pervasive. I am without any attributes, and without any form. I have neither attachment to the world, nor to liberation. I have no wishes for anything because I am everything, everywhere, every time, always in equilibrium. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
Mustafa Jay salutations to you

When asked to introduce himself by Guru Padmapad, the 8 yr old AdiShankar composed this epic strotra on the spot. The best personal statement ever.
Correct yourself.
Guru of Adi Shankarachary was Shri Govindapāda,
and Guru of Shri Govindpada was Shri Gaudapadacharya)
Padmapadachary was among Adi Shankarachary's 4 main disciples.
(Others are Totakacharya, Hastamalakacharya, Sureshwaracharya)
Wonder at 8 described God inside him excellently. No better discription of God than this ever possible to us.
Highest swag ever could have been 🔥❤
*Padmapaada was the disciple, one among the prominent 4.*
*Did you know how he was named thus?*
Once Adi Sankara, called out Padma-paada by his pre-monasic name (I don't remember what).
The person you intended hinting is... Gaudapaada Acharya, sir.
Kindly edit your post, please!🙏*
It's not padm it's gaudapadacharya

I feel an immense love for Shiva, I cry desperately with longing I don't know what.. I have the feeling that if I were to sit at his feet, I would gladly serve him even if it were for eternity. And this was a composition telling you that shiva is within you or to say you are shiva you just have to find him the right way.
the strong emphasis of this is to realize the "self", which is using "Neti neti" meaning "not this, not this", by understanding what you are not, you realize who you truly are...by discriminating between the real and unreal...the main teaching of Advaita vedanta. Om!

Har Har Mahadev!
My house is a just 80 km from adi shankaraachaary birth land kalady
It's not for Beginners,
It's for those who have already progressed.
There is always a unique quality when it is sung by Sounds of Isha. Nirvana Shatakam - not a song sung for Shiva but sung as Shiva himself.. there is no way one can sing this song other than dissolving into it as Shiva himself. Immerse into Immense!

Story goes like this:
8 year old Adi Shankara renounces the world and travels towards the north.
Thanks for the story.. Jaya Jaya shankara hara hara shankara

En verdad, Yo soy, Ese conocimiento y dicha eternos, Shiva, amor y conciencia pura.
No tengo ni virtud (punya), ni vicio (paapa). No cometo pecados ni buenas obras, ni tengo felicidad ni tristeza, ni dolor ni placer. No necesito mantras, lugares sagrados, escrituras, rituales o sacrificios (yajna).

mano buddhi ahankara chittani naaham
chidananda rupah shivo'ham shivo'ham
I am not the mind, the intellect, the ego or the memory,
I am not the ears, the skin, the nose or the eyes,
I am not space, not earth, not fire, water or wind,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva...
chidananda rupah shivo'ham shivo'ham
I am not the breath, nor the five elements,
I am not matter, nor the 5 sheaths of consciousness
Nor am I the speech, the hands, or the feet,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva...
na me dvesha ragau na me lobha mohau
na me vai mado naiva matsarya bhavaha
na dharmo na chartho na kamo na mokshaha
chidananda rupah shivo'ham shivo'ham
There is no like or dislike in me, no greed or delusion,
I know not pride or jealousy,
I have no duty, no desire for wealth, lust or liberation,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva...
na punyam na papam na saukhyam na duhkham
na mantro na tirtham na veda na yajnah
aham bhojanam naiva bhojyam na bhokta
chidananda rupah shivo'ham shivo'ham
No virtue or vice, no pleasure or pain,
I need no mantras, no pilgrimage, no scriptures or rituals,
I am not the experienced, nor the experience itself,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva...
na me mrtyu shanka na mejati bhedaha
pita naiva me naiva mataa na janmaha
na bandhur na mitram gurur naiva shishyaha
chidananda rupah shivo'ham shivo'ham
I have no fear of death, no caste or creed,
I have no father, no mother, for I was never born,
I am not a relative, nor a friend, nor a teacher nor a student,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva...
aham nirvikalpo nirakara rupo
vibhut vatcha sarvatra sarvendriyanam
na cha sangatham naiva muktir na meyaha
chidananda rupah shivo'ham shivo'ham
I am devoid of duality, my form is formlessness,
I exist everywhere, pervading all senses,
I am neither attached, neither free nor captive,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva...
Thank you for the translation 😊
Thank you sir

Absolute truth
True introduction of lord shiva ( the formless one ) 🙏🏼🕉
Om namah shivaya 🙏🙏
People of many religions are saying it's one of the most beautiful thing they have heard. Now imagine the capability of Adi Shankaracharya he said it on the spot when he was 8 years old.
Now imagine the capability of India at that time in which people like him were born. Indian mud still have the capability in which people like him can born.
But but iskon tells that great person as mayavadi
They treat him as demonic man .

Lord shiva 😇😇🙏🏻🙏🏻✨
Nirvanashatakam should be taught in every academic institutions.
Dear Isha Foundation,
Shatakam is a composition of 100 shlokas.

Well said.
