Lego Technic Automatic 4-Speed Gearbox

  • I like to experiment with Lego gearboxes, so when I saw some versions on youtube I knew I had to make my own. It works quite fluid, but the only issue it has currently is that the distances between the gear ratios arent big enough. I have explained everything in this video below, so be sure to watch it if you want to know more about how and how well the gearbox works.

    Wonder what happens when you connect two together in series. Maybe they fight like nested TCP streams!

    Any chance the resistance can be made higher, so it doesn't downshift so easily?

      Yes, there should be a possibility to change the resistance from the rubber band, but making it pull tighter feels like it would pull the runber band apart and I can’t find another fitting rubber band. So that’s why I’m going to try to make bigger gear ratios, so there will be more torque and with that less resistance on the differential.
