Not sure if you guys monitor this thread, but I was doing dome research last week and it turns out there are an interesting number of celebrities whose parents were criminals - like Tobey Maguire's dad was a bank robber and Woody Harrelson's dad was a hitman. Be a good list.

My favourite was probably the Trapper sketch where 2 French trappers in a canoe would capture businessmen instead of beavers and sell their suits to department stores. This is the best list that has been put out in a long time!

I absolutely love Kevin and Bruce's bass player sketch. it's one of those sketches you see when Kids is playing late at night on the CBC and you start wondering wether or not you are hallucinating. "The Mother, The Father, The Serpent, The Preist, The Foreman, The Woman, The Widow, The Beast.

This show was SO ahead of it's time. I remember growing up watching it on Canadian TV. It was so off the wall.....like a group of friends just trying to make each other laugh. I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming revival and hope they can catch that lightning in a bottle again....

The origin of the chicken lady is freaking hilarious! The parents look at their son, "What did you do?" And then they raise the chicken lady and sent her off in the world.
I agree. That's my favorite as well. But Chicken Lady at the mall is a close second. The big poof of feathers when she climaxes is so funny.

Head crusher is unbelievably unique and hilarious after all these years. Used to watch this show with my teenage son, in the early 90’s. On late at night in the states. This is one of the unforgettable skits along win The King (“slipped my mind”). 😂
Yes, finally, I have wanted you guys to do this list for years. I loved "The Kids in the Hall" when I was in college and still love them. I never missed an episode. Got HBO just to watch the show.

My friend first told me about them, after watching them on HBO, but I didn't have cable, then. Neither did my other friend, who watched it. She and I tuned in, without fail, to CBC Windsor, every Thursday night; sometimes while on the phone, so we could laugh together!
There are actually quotes from the show, all through the whole page she took up, in my senior yearbook (1992), including, "That means.....NO man is safe. Not even......MAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRK!!!!!" ROFL.
They’re the best sketch comedy group of all time. Great selections, but “Buddy Holly” should be on here for sure. My favourite sketch of all time.
Dr. Seuss' bible is still one of the ballsiest things ever put on TV.
KITH Buddy Holly sketch with Kevin McDonald is my favourite sketch. Singing 'That'll be the day' as the plane takes off.

My favorites were any of them with Cathy & Kathy.... But, my absolute favorites are The Bass Player & the Daves I know.
I remember seeing that Love and Sausages sketch once randomly as a kid and thinking that it was the most weirdest, yet funniest things I've ever seen.

Buddy Cole was Scott Thompson absolutely owning the gay stereotypes of the 90s as only Scott Thompson could. The Kids set the tone for comedy itself for the decade that followed them and you remember how the 90s saw an explosion of sketch comedy shows? That was all because of them.

Omg I loved the chicken lady and one of my favorite skits is when the chicken lady decided to go home were she was born and her flash backs of her birth and childhood 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kids in the Hall are back (almost 40 years later) to my surprise seeing them on Amazon Prime about 2 weeks ago with fresh new sketches and some reprising roles from original show😀😀 Season 1 with only 8 episodes so far and hoping more on the way😀😀 It’s nice they are still in touch after the original show ended in early 90s and continuing until…….?? 😀😀
I think the Jim Morrison sketch was probably one of the best.
That one was funny, but in my opinion, Kevin playing Buddy Holly as a belligerent, racist, arrogant drunk had me on the floor laughing.

Two of my favorite sketches are 'My Pen' and Einstein and the painter.

Thank you Mojo, such an underrated show. I remember the Buddy Cole sketch when he had the portrait of Kurt Cobain on the bar when he passed. Sweet subtle tribute to an advocate of people's rights.
Mine: Bruce as the warehouse worker who keeps saying "ascertain"; Kevin training his dog "Tiggy"; Teddy Bears' Picnic; Nina from Joymakers; Scott writing "You're fired" on the soles of his shoes; Bingo the clown at the board meeting.

This was my childhood! Loved Kids in the Hall and yes Headcrusher is absolutely the one that sticks in my mind to this day!
Pretty much the entire series was a top 10 sketches, but the monologues were especially good glad that one got the mentioned, but Foley had so many good ones like his "I'm a bad Doctor" or him praising menstruation
I remember watching this show as a kid and laughing my ass off , cant wait to see the new ones

Some days just out of the blue, I think about all the Daves I know… Some of the are Davids, while others are Dave’s, they all have the same name, but the come from different moms.
One of my favorite skits was the record shop and the clerk recommending The Doors. Who's on bass?!?
Always love Fran & Gordon with Brian as their son. Fran commenting on salsa...the comedy never ends. So glad to see them back together again!!

I just love the simplicity of it. There's no striking cinematography or hit characters or catchphrases. It's just Kevin and Dave on the phone, in an escalating bluffing contest. And anytime MacDonald talks in falsetto, you know it's going to be a good time

I don't know about KITH sketches, but my favorite episode is "Challet 2000" with last minute guest star Rip Taylor.

I have been a long time fan of KITH and have the entire series on DVD. Your list could have easily gone to a top twenty sketches. Cabbage head. Flying pig. The "It's a fact" girl. And there are others I am sure I'm forgetting. Great show and I am looking forward to the Amazon Prime return of KITH!

The one about The Pear Dream is my favorite. You picked a great one with Saaaaausaaaaageeeeees, and I also love Sex Patrol Girls. There are so many great sketches that it's hard to choose, really.
I spent thirty years hearing workers compensation claims, giving with one hand and taking away with the other. So Mama Compensation will always be my favorite. I've been fortunate to see them live, both on tour and taping in Toronto. One of my most prized possessions is a feather from the Chicken Lady.
That's one of the first ones I ever saw. I was just thinking about it, yesterday, after watching some of season 1, on Amazon, lol. 9th grade. For some reason, my friend stayed overnight, even though it was a Thursday, and we did have school, Friday (Studying for midterms, maybe? Who could remember, now? Our 30th class reunion is this summer!!).
My Mom worked afternoons, then, and KITH wasn't on until 9:30, so we were probably all studied out, so we tuned in. We talked and laughed about The Goddess of Compensation, for years!

The Kids In The Hall reunite in Lilo & Stitch: The Series episode “Fibber” as Pleakley’s family!
He was in an episode of PBS Kids' Odd Squad, when my son was in first grade. I almost fell out of my chair, lol.
Id add the sketch where Bruce "adopts" a businessman, as well as the one where Bauer (Scott) is in search of weed and makes a deal with the devil, as up there too. Cabbage head guy and "Stay Down" also are pretty classic. Too many great sketches.
The shoe salesman with Bruce McCullough was a great one.
The Gazebo sketch, Tucker and the Mouse, Axe Murderer, the ( gotta loose some weight) guy.
I literally was going down memory lane, wanted to watch Kids in the hall, Dream on and Tales for the crypt. I can’t believe it’s back.

I absolutely love the Citizen Kane sketch. Speaking as a movie buff that's definitely my favorite. Daddy Drank is really well done. But yeah, head crusher could be really good at times -- not all of them, but a lot of them were really good. I'm not a fan at all of the Chicken Lady, though -- just too nightmarish for me.
She's an acquired taste, I'll admit, but she won me over, with her reaction to Rooster Boy, lol.
My favourite was ‘Fine Ham Abounds’. It really was [BLEEP]ing good ham, mom.
The blonde Helen at 3:25 in the blue dress is Sarah Polley’s mom.
Headcrusher was my mom's favorite. I could make her laugh whenever I said I'm crushing your head.

I SOOO loved The Kids In The Hall. Such a great show! I had a few favorites. I loved Fran and Gordon, All the secretary sketches and the Extreme sketches (with Mark and Scott) Oh, and all Francesca Fiore sketches! I forgot about those. I really have so many favorites it's hard to just pick one.
I love them ALL, but one of my top favorites is Chicken Lady at the Strip Club ft. Rooster Boy! 😂🤣

Great list! This damn show was.....how do I put it????? "Mostly hilarious?!" I mostly saw it in syndication in the mid 90's and for the most part, I absolutely loved it! The problem was, (not that there were many), is that I would watch 3 out of 5 late night syndicated episodes and I usually laughed hysterically at maybe 3-4 episodes in one week.....the other episodes, left me scratching my damn head?! Overall, a great comedy sketch show! I'm actually surprised that Dave was the most successful after the show ended. SO MUCH TALENT on this show!
