In this video I review some Alpaca fiber socks from WillowAce. These socks claim to be better than Merino Wool and cost half as much! I had to try them out. Check out this video for my full review.
If you would like a pair of these socks for yourself you can find them on the WillowAce website below:

What about preventing smell after walking in them all day?

Superfine alpaca’s better than baby alpaca re: alpaca socks. They’re bigger micron (still smooth scale) so last longer, have bigger hollow space so insulate better, and just in general make warm, longer lasting socks. Alpaca ‘s not superwash so hand wash or gentlest machine setting and lay flat to air dry - if machine dry it’ll felt.

Is the review solely based on you getting them wet and how long it took for them to dry out? Or did you do any hiking or trail running in them?

Love these socks for hiking. These have become my go to socks! I wear them everywhere now. This video featured walking through the water because that is what this company was advertising on their commercial. I dont trust commercials so I wanted to try it for myself and I figured others would wonder the same. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Have a great day!

@@BucyTV well how have they held up? Did they shrink after washing? Any fraying of the material especially on the heels or foot pad? Just curious I ordered 5 pairs and hope they hold up for daily wear and construction work.

Been wanting to try these but they never have inventory in the size, color and height I want. Been trying for a month or two.

They shrink a lot. When I tried to exchange them they originally said I was past the return window. Then back peddled and said they looked at the wrong date when I pointed out I wasn't. Then they tried to replace them with only black even though I ordered green and blue. They said I would have to wait for those colors to be replenished. It's been a month. It takes them over a week to respond to customer emails. They run out of inventory constantly. This is a sign of an underfunded' tiny business. The socks are comfortable and warm but the customer support and lack of inventory absolutely sucks.

Buddy dont put wool clothing (merino, alpaca wool) on a hanger or hang it up, it will stretch out the wool fibers and lose its value. And don’t rinse it out. Lay wool flat on a floor, bath tub to dry. Also hand wash your wool clothing with cold water with mild detergent. Only time you could put alpaca clothing in the washing machine, is only 15% of alpaca material is in the clothing. Wool can be very expensive and time consuming to take care of. Also wool is suppose to be waterproof but when you fully emerge in water, you pretty much started a washing cycle.

I'd love to answer this but I can't find any info about where they are manufactured. If any one knows please post below.

Not in the US, most likely China. They love to advertise their company is based in the US though 😂

I feel a bit stupid for believing the marketing. They are not as good as Darn Tough. Toe-box is woven too tight and the insulation isn't any better despite their claims. I'll keep buying the best.

Darn Tough are great socks. With that said I am loving my WillowAce socks as well. Been great this winter. Nice and toasty.

As willowace has no contact other than email, I would not venture to risk purchasing from them as I can't find a U.S.address for them which is kinda creepy! I mean this can be a offshore loot n' scoot company! Try looking up how long they've been in business!

That is a good thing to consider. 🤔. All I can say is I think they are comfortable, warm and haven't worn out yet. I know REI has a brand of Merino Wool socks that are my absolute favorite!

Awful socks, the toe box area is so tight it becomes unbearable to wear.
I purchased 7 pair of socks thinking they were a good product due to the amount of reviews, NOPE, after one washing in cold water they shrunk even more and I can't even wear them in the house without it causing pain from compressing my toes.I quit trying to "break them in" due to an ingrown nail forming on my right large toe.
I'm just past the 30 day window to return and they only want to give me a discount towards another order for a larger size. I should have researched more as others have stated their reviews are deleted or blocked on Facebook. I first thought it was an American made product, but their vague "American" advertising made you believe they were made here, they have since updated their phrasing and has "American Owned Company" & "Ship's from America".......

Sometimes it’s nice to get wet feet on a long hike. Kinda feels like Orbeez in your shoes
