Are there any options to collab with larger channels? Or are there any contacts at YT that could promote this to front page? Love the videos you make, alot
So spread the word. *Messy Times* does great work; we don't moan about viewers and subscribers. The world is full of interesting stuff. If you produce good content, hopefully people will find it! I am going to get into the alpaca business.
Trying out Premieres again. Let us know if you like it or not. Planning to publish future videos on Saturday mornings so come back next week for our latest. Always something new to learn and enjoy. Cheers!
Love Paragraphic! Been a viewer for years. Found an incredible 100% Alpaca wool coat at a boutique thrift store. Warm, lightweight, but breathable material. I get tons of compliments on it. Also bought some Alpaca/Sheepwool winter socks. Changed the game! Warm feet that don't sweat and don't get cold walking on the cold floors.
To clarify, Peruvians don't all eat alpacas, it's not all that common. It would basically be out of necessity to eat what's locally available in the mountain ranges.
I had some good friends that owned an Alpaca farm & everything you showed they told me the same thing. They had a shop too. I have loads of Alpaca yarn. Love their yarn & and the Alpacas🐾
I looked up Alpaca after seeking Mareina Wool Socks and learning about a different type of wool unheard of. And watched your you tube contribution. If Alpaca is comparable or a better insulator than wool this would be a game changer when battling cold weather. Most socks I buy are compromised of Blends of polyester and spandex. Not as warm as wool. Wool tends to be more durable to maintain warmth. Blankets made of 100% Wool are used in different Armed forces. But Alpaca? Finding a product with 60% Wool Blend is hard to find. But a variety which is 100% would be very convenient. I recently learned about a store which opened up last year in Prinsten IL. I need to visit to buy Socks made from Alpaca Wool. Nothing like a good pair of warm socks in my boots. Am curious how this wool stacks up against Mareno Wool I hear so much about? And Mareno Wool is heavy, which is why if Alpaca Wool is lighter that it might be better when hiking with an overnight bag to have a light weight blanket that insulates and is much easier to carry with me along with my back packing essentials. Less tiring on those long hikes or when stranded in my car during a break down or snow storm. And after seeing this infomative article “Alpaca” warm Blanket and socks .🦙
I made a harness out of a baby t-shirt to put my poodle in when he was a puppy to get him use to being sheared on his feet and head, with treats, lol! thank you, very informative, I just started back weaving to make pillows on a square loom, I've been using a round loom to make bed throws.
Wow! Thanks so much for this vid! Only seen a few Alpacas on private lands, but hardly knew much about them except that they CAN protect sheep herds as well! Plus, Alpaca-wool sweaters are AMAZING! Please do more educational videos; I have never seen such love between Human and Alpacas like this. You care for your animals and I see that they care for you! God bless you and your family business! ^^
If you’re selling to bigger businesses, white, since it’s easier to dye. Speciality shops and businesses will buy the other natural colors. That’s just the generics though, and the color of their fleece doesn’t necessarily exclude them from bigger or specialty businesses.
Very very informative! Thank you for sharing all this knowledge. I love alpacas. I'd love to volunteer at a farm some day. I have a question. Do you ever bathe the alpacas or is it not necessary?
Well, I also work with baby alpaca wool so, in most cases alpacas do not require frequent bathing unless there is a specific reason to do so, such as if an alpaca rolls in something particularly dirty or smelly, a bath might be warranted but, a veterinarian may recommend bathing with specific shampoos or treatments. When bathing alpacas, it's important to use mild, non-toxic shampoos specifically formulated for animals and to rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
well alpacas meat are so tender and healthier than lamb or beef. taste is not different than lamb. I am peruvian and everytime i go to peru it is a must have it...
Alpacas don,t like desert, they like cold places, before the comunist in Peru my father have 4800 alpacas. I’m sad when I see alpacas in other places , they are for natural pasture
@@husufields Interesting, I'm reading sources all over the internet that say the same for Vicuña and that the term "fiber of the gods" originated with it and not Alpaca.
@@ErelasInglor Alpacas are the domesticated version of a vicuña, except they’re specialized for their hair. So vicuñas came first, and then alpacas are the refined version.
Not at all friend. Domesticate fiber animals usually have to be shaved for their health. It can cause them to overheat and put a lot of extra weight on them, as well as a few other factors. Imagine you put on another layer of clothing every month that you could never take off unless someone else did it. And alpacas are smart! They will mostly be nervous the first time around, but usually they learn that they’re not in danger and they feel relieved after being shaved.
You can tell how well taken care of these animals are ❤
I love this channel, and its disheartening to see you guys not get the views you deserve

Majored in fiber arts. Been many years ago now, and still, never heard that title.
I really love how western people make farming to be clean. the cage is clean. how many times did they clean the cage? I just wonder.
All capable farmers - wherever they are from - run clean operations.
In a world of automation, cleanliness should be second nature
Just in time for Alpaca Day 🎉😄
These Alpacas are as majestic as fuck!!
Onyx the Alpaca ❤
Great vid!! So informative. Lovely alpacas.
Super video, tyvm
Im Peruvian and alpaca meat taste similar to lamb i'd say. It has the lowest cholesterol level of any meat

Quite the transformation haha
how'd they manage to shear an animal before electricity, seems like it would take 3 hours with scissors

Do you not keep the alpaca in a larger outdoor area letting them out of the gate?
10:01 They look like a bunch of Tootsie-Roll Pops.
Do the PETA people understand that the domesticated ones don't shed???
PETA doesn’t understand most basic animal care.
They look like baby camels with wool😊😊😊😊😊
So...why is it called the fiber of the gods? Trying to find out how it is different/better than Llama, Sheep, Icelandic sheep, Vicuña, etc.
Eco friendly, fluffier, softer, and warmer.
