Yeah bro. I grew up in the Warne/McGrath era. I was in my mid 20’s for this. I remember seeing a customer at the start of the series and saying, this is going to be a painful series. Then big Mitch single handedly brought England to its knees. It wasn’t the wickets, it was the spells. Every ball he bowled was dangerous. I have never seen a single bowler break a team like Mitch did. He won that series for us with his intensity and aggression, and the fielding was amazing too
No doubt that he will be remembered forever for this but if I have to compare any inning of someone then perhaps I would say Smith's hundred against India in pune that was truly magnificent and treat to watch

It makes grown men go to water. The fact that Kevin Pietersen talks about sitting at the Gabba waiting to bat, thinking he might be killed just about sums it up.

Absolutely unbelievable series. Brad Haddin was unlucky to miss out on Man of the Series, he came in so many times when Australia were in trouble and batted them to safety.

Don't forget Jeff Thompson in the 70's. He was extreme pace who put fear in every batsman. They didn't have today's protective equipment. Johnson brought back some of that charm lol

The Broad wickets were the best. Everyone still hated him this series for not walking last Ashes, then he came on, fussed with the site screen and tried to slow the game down and ended up getting bowled first ball, then got yorked on the feet twice, once so hard he broke his toe. So good.
By far & away the most enjoyable Ashes series I've seen since first watching them in 1982-83 (from an Australian fan that is!) Great team work from an unheralded team. Great bowling from a much maligned bowler. We had a team of champions beforehand throughout the 90s & 00s but this ashes provided more enjoyment than all those prior. (Only my opinion of course!)
This series happened when I was studying 10+2 . Me and my friend daily buy a newspaper buy going out illegally from our hostel. Untill the series happened daily we bought newspaper to know how many wickets Johnson took that day. We made jokes on Peterson and troot. Fun to remember those days.. I am a big fan of MJ

STEVE SMITH starc and hazlewood are very similar with their reactions, aggressive fast bowling. Cummins is a bit quieter but is just aggressive too.

Brilliant bowling and some outstanding catches.
The Broad wickets were the best. Everyone still hated him this series for not walking last Ashes, then he came on, fussed with the site screen and tried to slow the game down and ended up getting bowled first ball, then got yorked on the feet twice, once so hard he broke his toe. So good.
Would have become the greatest of all time if he had played with same fire in every series.

By far & away the most enjoyable Ashes series I've seen since first watching them in 1982-83 (from an Australian fan that is!) Great team work from an unheralded team. Great bowling from a much maligned bowler. We had a team of champions beforehand throughout the 90s & 00s but this ashes provided more enjoyment than all those prior. (Only my opinion of course!)
Along with bowling, those intense celebrations.. Absolutely love it

This series happened when I was studying 10+2 . Me and my friend daily buy a newspaper buy going out illegally from our hostel. Untill the series happened daily we bought newspaper to know how many wickets Johnson took that day. We made jokes on Peterson and troot.
