Horse Progress Days 2005 - Draft Animal Power Event

- Horse Progress Days is an annual event that encourages and promotes the combination of animal power and the latest equipment innovations in an effort to support small scale farming and land stewardship. It shows that show Draft Animal Power is possible, practical, and profitable.
It is hosted by Sam Moore. Sam gives us a thorough tour of all of the equipment demonstrated and displayed at Horse Progress Days in 2005 held in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He explains the features of the implement in the static displays followed by film of it being demonstrated in the field with the power of a team of draft horses or mules.

A word from Charlie Pinney of Wales, UK. who farms 30 acres of mountain land. He shows us his forecart with an engine drive that can be hooked up to the forecart for jobs needing the power or removed for jobs requiring only hydraulics or horse power along.
Barbara Corson from Pennsylvania shows us a Norwegian harness
9custom made by Olaf Nyby) on her horse. We see close ups of how it is worn, all the parts and the differences from an English harness. When drives her horse around the round pen so we can watch it in action.
Erhard Schroll, editor of the German magazine Starke Pferde explains that he helps organize a German Horse Progress Days and attends this event to exchange ideas with the US organizers.
Finally, we show some footage of the "Parade of Breeds" which includes Belgians, Percherons, Fjords, Haflingers, Spotted drafts, Blue Roan Gypsy Vanners, Clydesdales, Shires, mules and more.

what about no till direct seeding methodologies?
The horse power is nice . Wrapping hay in plastic does not seem like something I would expect from the people who use horses
Anyone who produces dairy or finishes fat cattle would be interested in wrapped hay improves the protein content of hay.
Bob Bates: Let me explain the most important thing about hay: it must be kept DRY!!! Covering it in plastic keeps the rain from getting it wet. Because IF it gets wet, it will MOLD, and if horses, donkeys, or mules eat moldy hay, they will DIE. Yes, DIE!!! Cows do not have quite as much risk, as their digestive systems are different, in anatomy and function. Please spend some time in rural settings, and take online courses so that you learn the basics of REAL life in the rural and natural world. You will find so much value in educating yourself and experiencing the best of real life.
@@phyllishamilton165 that's not quite right. Wrapping hay in plastic film causes anaerobic fermentation. You'll get silage, sometimes also called haylage. This type of forage preserves certain types of nutritional supplements. There is also the possibility of wrapping hay in some sort of fleece, that let's air through, but most farms I know wrap grass, hay, corn or whole plants for silage
@Wilbur Gold absolutely. Nonetheless, the fermentation process takes place in both ensiling haylage and baleage.
My point was: you don't wrap hay to keep it dry, because it will ferment. You'll always get some sort of baleage or haylage when wrapping forage in plastic film.
So the main reasons to wrap forage in plastic film are insufficient storage possibilities in dry conditions or to ferment it on purpose for nutritional reasons. My cattle can't eat baleage anyways, they are used to rough conditions and are perfectly built for them
There have been experiments in spraying hay with something like lard instead of wrapping in plastic. I suppose it is too inexpensive to make it commercially viable.

We are also witnessing the rise of the kingdom of the Antichrist(NWO); he will pretend to be the savior of the world, however, after 3 and 1/2 years of rule he will unleash all hell upon the Earth. His kingdom will consist of a: One world religion, One world government, and One world monetary system; all of these have been predicted within the Holy Bible, thousands of years ago.
WHY IS THERE SIN IN THE WORLD?
In the beginning God made the world perfect and free of sin. He gave the world to our forefathers, Adam and Eve, as a love gift. Adam and Eve sinned and gave the world over to Satan. Since then all of mankind has been born in sin and subjects of Satan, with a one-way ticket to everlasting-hell.
WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT?
There is nothing that can be done for the world at large, the world will continue on getting worse, and the right judgment of God will be unleashed in an ever increasing manner, a manner that only the repentant and forgiven person will be able to endure. HAVING YOUR SINS FORGIVEN, AND TO BE RECONCILED TO GOD, nothing can be done for the world, however, individual persons may experience forgiveness from God. If you have a desire for God's forgiveness, God is already at work in you. [ There is nothing you can DO(WORK) to be saved. If God gives you faith, you may plead for salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. "What is impossible for men is possible in God." All those that come to Him will in noway be rejected. ]
Jesus Christ said, not only that, "I'm the way, the truth and the life, and no one can come to the Father but by me.", Christ also said that, "NO ONE can come to Me unless the Father draws him." --obviously, if both of these are true, no one can will themselves to believe. God must first attract the sinner towards Christ in order to be saved.
Salvation from sins and true transformation comes when your sins have been forgiven, if you feel led to do so, plead for God's mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ to save you from your sins, and wait for His response --Christ said that, 'if you ask you will receive'. Forgiveness and restoration with God comes through Christ's work and payment of sins upon a cross, Jesus is the only one that did the work for our salvation --This forgiveness is for all those that will come to believe in Him. THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES AND GOES AS HE WILLS, and so it is with salvation, because it's an act that is carried out by the Spirit.
--John 14:6 [ Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." ]
--Acts 4:12 [ "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name(Jesus Christ) under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” ]
Knowing that the penalty for sin is death(eternal torment in a Lake of Fire); the Bible states, -- Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.", and that we all have sinned, --Rom --3:23-- "for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God", God's method of salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit of God, purchased through the death of Jesus Christ, --John 3:8 "The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”, and as it is with the wind, the Spirit will come on the repentant sinner, when God draws that sinner to His Son Jesus Christ, --John 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up in the last day.". All a person can do is to plead for God's mercy, as in -- Luke 18:13 "And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.".
