    Patois has many different aspects and elements to it... This means that it takes a brainbox like yours to make it real.
    Because your ephemeral and first-rate performance is of such, my true to life experience is to form a deserving opinion.
    This is my value judgement--- Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent!!!
    Nuff Love Tevin!

    I would really like to hear the phrases after the interjections, were pronounced a little more slowly so that beginner students could follow more easily. Respeck.

      1) “Bloze an skerrt. A ow shi sovive dat deh drap deh?”. This literally translate word for word as: “blouse and skirt. Is how she survived that there fall there?”. Real Jamaican to English meaning: “wow! How did she survive that drop?”

    • @norahelaine6041
      @norahelaine6041 Год назад +1

      2) “baxide! Mi cya believe seh di gyal tief mi money.” Meaning: unbelievable! I cannot believe this girl stole my money.
      3) “baxcova! Di truck jus tun ovah pan e highway”. Meaning “wow! The truck turned over on the highway”
      4) “cooyah” which literally means look here it as the Spanish say, “Mira”. Multiple meanings. To express disbelief and could be used to literally point at something.

    As a white person visiting Jamaica are you getting trouble or hurt for using the this local language because people may think it's racist, or as I see it if you take the time to learn the local Jamaican language like you would Spanish or French if you visited their countries it is to communicate with the local people and is it respected or accepted?

    • @jamaicanpatwah5170
      @jamaicanpatwah5170  3 года назад +1

      Because the dialect t is so hard, we Jamaicans find it very amusing when persons from other countries try to speak it , so no we don't view it as disrespectful so it is very much accepted

  • @orlandomorris9701
    @orlandomorris9701 Год назад

    Jamaicans don't speak patios.. patios is french..they use broken English..
