Gullah and Jamaican Creole are very similar in terms of the words said. The pronunciations are different, but a lotta similarities in words and grammatical structure.

Many of these sayings are known in many other Caribbean islands too who will understand, not just Jamaicans. If we have to get really technical, Patwah, correct spelt Patois, actually means broken French.
Check the way Antiguans and Montserratians speak in their local dialects and you will hear many of the same phrases and idioms that are popular in the Jamaican dialect.
Noam is a word used in Senegal for eating
Ypree man😂
patwah boss we are becoming jamaicans indeed
what is that word/phrase "wolan" at 1:54 ? also, much respect for your videos, I'm learning a lot :D
Wolan means "hold on"
You are there for the benifit not to think about what is going on.
😸
Vege! Wat lol 😁😁😁
Lets teach old times Proverbs..Irie fm has it on jamaica roots and culture..but make a class for people to learn them..
how would you use he word 'watchya' ? can you provide examples
You’re calling someone’s attention to something, usually seen, but also could be something being heard. It would be like saying “looky here” or “check this out”.
Man says i will tell you what it means in English. Then goes ahead to say something that's still patwa. 😂😂
❤
Nyam is what i meant. Auto correct messed up

What is the meaning of:mi come fi drink milk but mi nuh come fi count cows
It means I’m here to fulfill an obligation and not to be caught up in the circumstances surrounding the obligation. For example, I’m here to do my job well and for my personal growth and development, and not to be distracted by or be all-consumed with office politics and gossips.
This expression reminds me of an ex boss in a positive way. He used this saying to compliment me. I’ll never forget.😊
What is a benee?

What is a benee

Sharing our legacy is good but translating is no no , to defeat a person is to know their language don't give away too much 🤦🏽♀️

You give alot of trouble or you don't have no discipline
Ya Sabi???
Is it patwah or patios?
The correct spelling is “patios” , however some people cannot spell it so how it is pronounced is how they write/ spell it.
The last time i check, them sound different.. suh weh yhu expect den??@@KarenLue-g5i
