    That offwidth was a grovel fest . Beautiful slabs . My favorite style - you need lots of technique and you can’t muscle you way through it . Lean back to far and your out of there .

      Yes hard to believe he was not already a beast on friction slab if he can go to La Pedriza and climb french 8b slab within a couple of days. He's super humble though isn't he so no doubt he thinks it's funny being called a punter. I'm sure he will have learned a lot.
      From a v quick search he's done Angel's Share, Jonny Dawes highball V9 slab masterpiece.
      Dynamics of Change, Pete's own E9, tops out Braille Trail, another Dawes classic of skin, technique, smeary friction dependent climbing.
      Pete's own 'Grandad's Slab' is a harder direct finish to Braille Trail.

    Isn't slab actually better when it's warm out, since it relies on friction from rubber rather than skin?
    Love the low key storytelling btw

    • @talomartin8481
      @talomartin8481  Год назад +4

      Nope, you need cold to get stick to. The heat melts the rubber slowly
