@@JollyGreenSlugg It did further enhance my interests in military equipment I already was developing back then. And now I have a degree in military history. So yea, that service was very much delivered.
Welcome back JGS! I learned a lot about Lee Enfields from your channel when I first got into collecting back in the mid 2000’s. Looking forward to your new posts!
Loved your videos as a kid got me loving the lee Enfield rifles in the USA got one and it's one of my best rifles and my favorite to shoot thanks and keep making videos I would love to see them
Jolly I'm so glad to see this video. I loved watching your videos all those years ago, and some of them still get quite a few clicks from me. Excited to catch up on what is to come.
Thank you for your patient trust, I'm glad that I could get back into it, after a decade and a half! I'd best upload some vids that may be worth the wait!
Whatever you decide to upload, I'll be looking forward to it. Funny I was 22 around when you stopped posting. I was referencing your videos to find the exact Lee. I was spoiled for choice back then, hard to find now.
Maybe show both sides of the rifle, for your viewers, in future videos. I was trying to "see" info on how the scope mount attached to the rifle. Beautiful little gem you got there. Christ bless!
Welcome back! I used to thoroughly enjoy your videos. Obviously I'd love a SMLE sniper, who wouldn't, but last year I bought my first SMLE (at the age of 70). It's a 1941 Lithgow, and I was very interested to see that the timber is an identical colour to yours. Apart from the de-sporterization, is that the original colour? I'll now be going back to your back catalogue! Cheers, John
Thanks John, great to hear that you've got the bug! That timber is the standard colour, infused with linseed oil, of course! The WW2 Aussie coachwood furniture is something to behold, and it smells great too.
Have to admit I really like the Mk. III HT snipers. Would be nice to see the barrels, mounts and scopes available as a kit which didn't need bank financing.
I was 10 years old when I saw your vids for the first time, now I’m 24, love you vids on the HT SMLE sniper rifle, so great to see you back, whats the accuracy does it have?
Dinosaurs do still walk the Earth ! welcome back ! perhaps try and get some footage of the reticle itself ? not the easiest task obviously but would be super keen to see what they look like
Great to have you back Mr jollygreenslug you were missed looking forward to plenty of new videos 👍👍👍👍
Cheers, there's some good stuff to come!

Great work. Can't wait to work my way through your other Smelly vids.
Welcome back… You were my original ‘enfield guru’! My wife blames you for my collection and total lack of money 🤪
G'day mate, thanks for the kind words. My wife would probably agree and sympathise with your wife, but what's life without Lee-Enfields?!
Woo! Wooz is back on the Tube!
Crikey this is a blast from the past
Yeah, fifteen years was a fair gap!
Welcome back, we missed you !

A "bit of time" he says! Fantastic to see you back!
Hahahaha, it works out at 4793 days between uploads, so that may be stretching "a bit" somewhat! Thanks for the kind words.

Good thinking, thanks for the advice. I’ll do a shortish video just focusing on the scope setup.
"glad you are back" !
