The fact that a player, Xavier Rhodes, knows and said himself that Minnesota doesnt get miracles, is why no matter what happened the next game, this was an amazing moment for all Viking fans.
At this point, no matter how many times my dear Vikings break my heart, I will never forget this moment as long as I live. Every time I see it, and get chills and tear up.

Not even for Vikings fans. For anybody except maybe a saints fan, watching this was honestly a once in a lifetime moment. I think that says a lot as a hawks fan
I will forever brag that I was there. And feel stupid for yelling go outta bounds.
Anyone with a brain watching was yelling that. I was screaming, along with 4 other people, “get out of bounds!!! Get out!! Oh my god he just scored!!”
I was in the end zone that Diggs was running towards and I remember BRob running down the sidelines. It was absolutely amazing. I was excited and stunned. I was hoping there was no flag and once I realized there wasn't I was like party on. It was so loud in there. Literally no one wanted to leave, we sat there soaking up the moment.

Literally the most emotional moment in history, once Diggs regains his balance and starts sprinting, you can hear 67,000 people screaming all that heartbreak they’ve experienced with this team out because they can’t believe it. Seriously everytime I watch this and hear the crowd I tear up. definitely bittersweet now though.
I cry everytime I see any footage of this, i can remember the exact moment it happened 😭😭
And then the Eagles erase any thought that they had a chance.

Eagles1933 Well the game against the Eagles was a FLUKE game for the Vikings. If not for that FLUKE the Vikings would have destroyed the Eagles. Eagles are just lucky.
Enough with the Eagles talk. All we care about is that we actually got a moment. An actual miracle, which never happens to us. And it was revenge on the Saints

As a Saints fan this moment still gives me PTSD but since I live in Minnesota and my Mom is a Vikings fan, I can't help but smile knowing that this moment was fucking amazing for all of the fans out there.

This play gives me the chills to this day. How it happened. And afterwords case keenum got the fans to do the skol chant. It was magical. I so wanted them to win the Superbowl. Would have been an epic story to remember.
But the Eagles showed they weren't that great in the first place.
I still get goosebumps watching replays of Keenum firing up the crowd!

I’ll forever be thankful that I was one of the 60k people in attendance. Especially after going to the Philly game the following week. Such is the life of a Vikings fan. At least they gave me this, probably the best day of my life.

But since I was working in the stadium I was telling the fans around me "We can still win this" even though I didn't believe it. I still can't believe I was in the stadium for one of the greatest moments in team history.

i have been a huge vikes fan my whole life and i still get shivers every time i watch this play.
One of those moments ill never forget. Me and My dad were going to the timberwolves game that knight and once the saints kicked the field goal we figured we should get going since it was snowing hard out and would take a bit to get too target center from our house. We both said what the hell maybe something crazy will happen. I swear that night at the timber wolves game it was just SKOl! chants the whole night and the whole place was just purple. One of the greatest nights of my life.

I will never ever forget this play. I remember pacing and just saying someone catch it and get out of bounds. And when Diggs caught it and he wasn't tackled I was like Emerson Griffen, I was just in shock and was like "what just happened", then I screamed and then legit fell to my knees and cried.

i remember watching this is the basement with my cousin and my dad was just sitting on the couch looking SO disappointed and me and my cousin were just like “maybe they can make a comeback” and my dad was like “there’s no hope there’s 20 seconds” and he walked upstairs as me and my cousin were sitting on the ground and then we screamed so loud he thought that someone broke in LMAO

To Minnesotans. THAT is what we imagine how it feels when our team wins a SB. You cant tell us nothing. Sean Payton doing the choking gesture right before mocking Bountygate also positioned MN for a new NFC rivalry besides the Packers. It was such a beautiful moment. I jumped up around screeching at the top of my lungs for a solid minute before I lost my voice

I remember watching it as it happened as a college freshman. As a senior this still brings tears to my eyes
It’s one of those plays where you know exactly where you were when it happened. I was at Chili’s with my friends for one of their birthdays, and the entire restaurant went absolutely crazy when it happened. Keep in mind this was in MARYLAND! Most of us weren’t even Vikings fans but we were that shocked at what had just happened...
I was at Ryan's ( a dive bar in Minneapolis) and we went nuts. I was hugging people I don't even know. All 3 bars on the block were so loud a guy told us he could hear everybody going wild from an apartment building a ways away. He was outside shoveling snow. It was one of the funnest moments I have ever had watching the Vikings. Or ANY sport. Right up there with Randy Moss' first year back in '98. Right up there with the World Series. You name it. We just went hog wild!!

I remember the game myself...I had ran upstairs to my kitchen table to CRY, because it seemed all over for the vikings, and I was walking back down to go see the end, when I heard my parents shouting and I RUSHED down to BARELY catch the play! It was such an amazing feeling! You know diggs, keenum, and everybody else was on top of the world at that moment!

I was on a 15 minute break, glancing at the score the whole night. As my break came to an end, I figured I'd see the end of the game. When Diggs made the catch, I was jumping up and down celebrating very loud. People in the hospital came to see what was going on. It was amazing.

I remember my mom saying “yay I can’t wait to watch my Saints win!”. And then this play happens, and my mom was literally in shock
I remember I was so upset before that play but kept watching and ran out of my house with my Vikings flag yelling “SKOL!” Lmao
This is the kind of stuff you dream about as a kid. I mean when I was watching this, I had hope deep down inside, and I just remember being the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. What a game. Still got clapped by the eagles tho.

I grew up watching Diggs at UMD and always knew he was special. Seeing him make that play and knowing all that he went through, it's a moment I'm never going to forget. I'm not a Vikings fan, but it's the most memorable play I've ever seen.

Maybe it is bias because it was recent but I honestly see this as top 3-4 not 9. The history between the teams in recent years, the way the game flowed, the taunting from the saints coach and RB to the fans right before the play. It was an amazing thing to see how this happened

I was down to nothing. Another devastating Vikings Playoff loss. Another time to hang my head in shame.
And then it happened. One of the 5 best plays in NFL history.
I remember feeling so dejected and hurt before the Play. And so ELATED Afterwards. I Screamed and danced and Jumped up and down for a few minutes after it happened. And then I hugged my Mom and kept on Celebrating the Greatest Play in the entire History of the Minnesota Vikings!
I've been through: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003 against the Cardinals, 2009 against the Saints, Locke misses against the Seahawks. And from the Absolute Lowest of ALL, TO THIS. MAGIC. MAGIC. MAGIC.
This is why we love the game.
I dont care what team you like. I think we can all (besides the saints probably) respect the vikings. I know Pats nation respect the hell out of the Vikings

I remember exactly where I was the moment this happened. The watch party I was at was wrapping up, as we all thought they had lost, and I was just stepping out the door to leave, when suddenly I hear screaming coming from the room where the game was on. I rush back into the room just in time to see Diggs run into the endzone, and we all cheered and hugged each other for at least 20 minutes afterwards. Truly a magical moment.

I think every viking fan that year knew exactly what they were doing during that moment. I know I can still remember how I felt when the Saints got the lead, I can remember standing up and watching it with my Dad and Uncle. All of us were just so... defeated. "Yet another Vikings heartbreak incoming." Especially when the previous two plays didn't go anywhere. I just saying "Come on, just get into field goal range, that's all you need to win. Don't do anything fancy."
And then Diggs caught it. At the time I didn't even register that the guy mistimed his tackle I was just screaming to Diggs to get out of bounds because he caught it and they'll kick a field goal to win... and then he runs in and I just start jumping up and down screaming "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! DID YOU SEE THAT?! HE DID IT! HE DID IT!" Hugging my dad and my uncle, who were both as shocked as I was, unable to say anything for a moment while I hugged them.
We may not have won the game after that, and Eagles fans seem keen on letting us know that we didn't get a ring out of this win... and that's true. But moments like this happen so rarely in Minneapolis. Things always seem stacked against us.. We've been on the wrong end of so many game-ending plays a lot like this... once, just once, we got the celebrate that it happened for us.
