Absolutely false. Not a single sports media talking head outside of Minnesota had a team with a career backup QB as the favorite. Carson Wentz had just put up an almost MVP type season and Foles was arguably better than Keenum, and then you had Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Not a big Vikings fan, but the 2009 saints played so dirty against the Vikings in the NFC championship game with the bounty system so this was actually refreshing to see.
As a Vikings fan when I watch that game, I was in tears when the Vikings were losing and then miracle happened. It’s really a miracle I do have all I’ll do respect to Drew Brees in the Saints as but the Vikings deserve that win the Saints have already won a Super Bowl.
