for those wondering: the main reason disney changed 20th century studios name was mostly due to FCC regulations with broadcasting networks. disney couldn't buy out FOX as a whole was because they already own ABC and ESPN.
The biggest casualty in Hollywood History since Touchstone! And it's politics that ruined my and possibly, everybody's favorite Hollywood Titan, 20th Century Fox.

Disney changed it to avoid confusion with the separate FOX Corporation.

Hello. Honestly, I'm glad Disney is keeping the 20th Century brand and legacy alive and well. Though, I wish Disney would have merged 20th and Touchstone into--get this--20th Century Touchstone.
Imo, It's also not a good sign of a company like Disney on the minus side. Many franchises are getting milked to death and get worse as it goes on such as Wimpy Kid, Night at the Museum, Home Alone and Ice Age.
It also caused the number of Hollywood studios to go from 6 to 5 because of the rise of streaming services like Netflix and Disney Plus, which is why Hollywood is currently on a strike and people are protesting against the executives, their obsession with money and other bad things happening with the American entertainment industry right now. Blue Sky also got shut down because of them.
I guess all of the DreamWorks Animation movies from 2013 until 2017 moved to Universal Pictures.

And i wish Disney will buy Fox, but without renaming 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight Pictures to 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures, so they will keep the TCF and FSP names on their movie companies.
But guess what? There is one thing you forgot about this documentary about 20th Century Fox..........................
You forgot to tell that Fox had brought Blue Sky Studios in 1997, and shuttdown the Fox animation studio to replace it with Blue Sky Studios. And the first Blue Sky Studios film Fox released was "Ice Age" (2002) (Which was Blue Sky Studios' first movie and first movie in the "Ice Age" franchise), and that film was released on March of 2002. So, that's what you forgot about this documentary.
Oh, never mind.
Dude,deal with the name change and deal with the fact that 20th centry studios is not going back to the original owner!

Correct Ice Age Franchise was the cash cow and it was the first non superhero themed flick since Paramount Pictures made one with Nickelodeon Charlotte's Web 3 - Updated & Barnyard which got turned into a videogame.

20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight Pictures are fine. they were renamed to 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures. it's only to avoid confusion to a spin-off company Fox Corporation. plus. the COVID forced Disney to shut down Blue Sky. the people at Blue Sky could be moved to Pixar and Disney Animation.
